Just wanted to throw this in there if you have not seen it yet. It is some good advice on how to run Dragon of Icespire Peak. This is geared toward smaller size parties but most of the advice is really good for larger parties as well, especially if everyone is new. DoIP does not pull any punches early on... it's possible the very first fight of a level 1 party would be against a manticore, a CR 3 creature who can fly, and can fire three tail spikes per turn from up to 200 feet with average damage of 7 each if they hit. This blog post describes how to handle this encounter so it's more manageable, as well as other good advice throughout. I recommend it.
