So, in my homebrew world, I have a Adventurers guild. And obviously, they hand out quests. But, not all adventurers are equal in power. Thus, they use a ranking system to help adventurers choose quests within their power level. I figured i'd share these with my fellow DMs, incase anyone wants to use them.
Here are 2 of the Ranking systems i've thought of. (well, one is a slightly edited version of the ranking system from Overlord)
This might be a bit too complex for DND, unless tabulating and "rising through the ranks" is the sole focus of your capaign akin to a Western Marches type setting.
The game is already split into Tiers of play (1-4), so I'd recommend going that route. This does beg the question though, who's bothering to pin their 'Orichalcum' level quest to the quest board? A 20th level adventure/one shot/combat would probably be kingdom-changing at least in theory. Quest boards for things above 5-7th level have always just felt odd, at least to me.

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?

Copper (1)- Iron(2-4) - Silver (5-7) - Gold (8-10) - Platinum (11-13) - Mithril(14-16) - Adamantite/Adamantine (17-19) - Orichalcum(20)
(Iron could be replaced with Silver, and Silver with Electrum, if you want to keep to Money metal then Armor metal)
Though, lf you want to use letter grades, then the levels would be, in order from 1-20: G,F-,F,F+,E-,E,E+,D-,D,D+,C-,C,C+,B-,B,B+,A-,A,A+,S.
Heck, maybe the Metal ranks could be for Adventurers, and the Letters for Quests?
Ps, here's the template I use for making quests:
Name:
Rank:
Reward:
Description:
Time Limit:
