Good evening, good morning and good night to all of you, my fellow malevolent narrators.
I claim the skies for your aid once more, praying for a good response that helps me understand how to solve a hookie pookie situation;
Well, this is what i've on the table for now: my group of players were going through Lost Mine of Phandelver, but i recieved from them a lot of information about how good could it be to reach higher levels, so i took all the tips and hints you all gave me in the last post and use them to create a change of path, allowing my players to help phandulin through dwarven warrios while the noble family of a character (the one that paid those mercenaries) send the group to greenest, searching for a strange and unique flower that gives an exquisite touch to the dwarven beer (this noble family climbed to the top making good beer).
So, here comes my "problem"; among the missions you can find in the siege of Greenest, there's one duel vs a badass demi-dragon. The module states that, if a player decide to fight him, all the group gains 50 xp each but...what about if that character WINS ALONE? I mean, yeah, the book states that kobolds cover the body and bla bla bla. But it does not state nothing about XP. I mean, that warrior gives 1.100 PX to a group, (275 PX for each character). But if a player defeats him alone, should i give that player all the PX for that combat? i mean, that could mean having a character bumped to level 3, or even the doors of level 4, for sure one level ahead of all the rest of the group.
I mean, giving nothing to him looks weird, yeah, you rescue the girl boy, handshake and bye bye sounds "meh" for me. Also i like to stick to the rules, but i'm not sure how my group are going to manage having a player one level ahead of them.
If you run greenest in flames as intended, that duel will be the last battle of a very long night with little to no rest. I don't know what level your players are, but they are ment to be under level 3 here. If the half dragon champion is in trouble, make sure he isn't holding back, breath attacks as often as possible and 2 greatsword attacks when he can't.
If your player is still strong enough to beat him single handedly, reward them how you wish. I think the volunteer gets extra potions or something regardless. I would probably give party 200xp each and the volunteer a magic item for their Prize.
thank you very much DxJxC, i will try to keep it nice and cool in case that they manage to kill or defeat Cyanwrath. After all, beign it luck or skill, surpassing a challenge should be rewarded.

What do you think, fellas?
Thanks in advance, pretty people.
