Orb of soul stealing
Whenever a creature within 20 feet of you dies you can use your reaction to capture its soul.
Each size of creature has a set amount of soul energy it can generate.
Tiny: 5
Small: 10
Medium : 15
Large : 20
The orb can only hold 35 points worth of souls. As an action the bearer of this magical orb can roll 2D4+2 and absorb that number of soul points as health from the orb. You cannot go above your maximum hit points with this feature.
If you try to absorb more soul energy than the orb can hold it will exploded causing 35 points of necrotic damage to any creature within a 20 foot radius. Any creature who dies from the explosion has it soul bound to the fragments of the Orb.
