This stream is for you creative homebrewers who have managed to create a race. Post a short description about your race, and be sure to post the link to the details page so that you can add the race to your collection if it looks interesting
And I will start by showing you one of my homebrew races: the Vinefolk. Born from a magical mishap, Vinefolk are humanoids made of lots of vines. While similar to vine blight (In fact, the magical mishap shaped the first Vinefolk from a vine blight), they are nothing like them personality wise. They are friendly, shy, and wonderful companions.
Mostly I just wanted to do something with the idea of how to convey the fact that they can glide, but not fully fly.
Next, I made a playable Mindflayer race for a one-shot, although the player who wanted to play as a Mindflayer ended up dropping out. There's a lot of Mindflayer homebrews already but I was having trouble finding one that I really liked, so I just made one myself
Did this to fit in with a home brew world where hobgoblins are a dominate political force (Lawful Neutral as a society, based on the early Roman Empire)
Basically a more educated, less feral Lizardfolk race taking inspiration from the Warhammer race and being more of a benevolent, if badly abused 'fore-runner' race of a setting than the primitive and oft-evil race of WotC portrays the Lizardfolk as more often than not.
I am honestly ashamed I forgot that the create-a-race function existed on these boards. I think the above race is relatively balanced, but I'll be churning out the rest of my nonsense as quick as I can. I could really, really use some peer-review with this stuff...
I'm guest-starring in a friends campaign today, and was told I could do literally anything, so I whipped this up really fast. I'm expecting to be eaten within a minute and currently trying to decide what to do for my actual character.
The first homebrew race I put together is the Twinfolk. Essentially less monstrous ettins, these two-headed humanoids benefit in a number of ways from having a two heads instead of one. They're hard to charm and exceptionally perceptive.

I've done two homebrew builds so far, but unfortunately I haven't been able to use either of them in a game.
First, I made a Gargoyle race based on the gargoyles from the Gargoyles cartoon.
