Bryn tags the leader with a slowing cold, while Black finishes off one of the skitterers, and Larry connects on a pair of powerful blows against the thigh and groin of the hulking creature, it's attention shifting from Keller to the metal man before it.

The booming magic slams into the large creature, its head tossing in confusion at the loud sound, locking eyes with Bolt as her magic surges from within.

((Tides were activated earlier in the fight. Surge= 74))

Keller starts to feel a bit odd, looking around at this strange place they've been brought to, and for the next hour (or until passing a WIS Save 15 at the end of his turn) is convinced that he is in fact an ape, and behaves in a manner consistent with an ape.

Two of the skitterers snap at Black, while the third of that group goes after Larry.

BB sends some rubble and one of the skitterers flying backward, but the two closest to him grip tight and weather the thunderous boom that reverberates across the dusty purple expanse.

BB mutters unpleasant things about the nearest skitters smell before blasting them with a twinned firebolt and feeling some healing from that.

"Magic is messed up."

He concludes.

He lets out a grunt and a screech, scratches the top of his head, and then begins fiddling with string on the odd contraption in his hands.

While Keller thinks apish thoughts, the skitterers that BB blew back scramble forward to swarm him and Grandpa, but his strategic retreat has them clambering across the loose rubble, and they aren't able to attack either of them this turn.
