"I think I should go in first with a bang. That'll bring them all out."

BB is all about the shock and awe.

"You want Black to accompany you?"

Keller gestures in a "be my guest" fashion, readying a shot to anything hostile that shows itself.

The company charges in, BB in the lead (with Black?), and he heads for a scree of rubble with a dark tunnel opening visible some 20 ft above. If he'd like to make for this tunnel entrance, let's have an Athletics check.

"Ya, Black is always welcome. The 3Bs."

BB and Black head for the tunnel, BB has his shield on for this mission. Also the thundermaul is out of juice.

Athletics: 15

Bolt is sticking closer to the main group, keeping an eye out for sneakier beasties.

Black leaps onto BB's back, clasping his shoulders with their paws, and the burly warrior leaps and scrabbles up to the tunnel opening, where it stretches dark ahead of him.

Black drops to the ground beside him, before padding forward, looking back at BB.

"It's dark."

BB says over his shoulder.

"Anyone got one of those fancy light-it-up spells?"

While he waits he'll fire a few firebolts down the tunnel.

There is a sound of padding feet and gibbering skittering as a fire bolt careens down the tunnel, a low metallic growl sounding from Black as they hunch down, slinking forward a few feet before turning to look back at BB again with as close to an inquisitive look as the construct can muster.

Keller casts dancing lights and sends glowing white orbs down in a row in the passage ahead of them, 20 feet apart, up to a range of 120 feet.

He prepares a ray of frost to anything hostile showing itself. He signals to the others to do the same with their own ranged attacks.

Gramps readies a fire bolt as well.

Once the way is lit, BB with prep his shield and move forward ready to dodge/block the almost certain invisible multi-armed assassin with Black at his side.

"I'm coming for ya! BB the Giantslayer is coming to get ya!"

The skittering sounds continue on ahead of BB, Black and the lights that Keller sends up from the ground that illuminate a bit of tunnel, but no enemies.

Bolt Athletics: 9

Bolt and Gramps will make it up eventually, but they are having slow going of it.

((Athletics for Keller? If he does well enough, he'll be able to get up there and send dancing lights along for BB, but low roll likely means whatever BB and Black heard is able to retreat before he's easily able to pursue.))

Keller scrambles up hot on Larry and Bryn's heels, and calls forth lights, sending them zipping down the tunnel. Behind him, Grandpa and Keller are struggling to make it up.

They can either set off in hot pursuit, or wait for/help the other two get up, but potentially lose their quarry.

BB sets off in hot pursuit as long as he has light.
