Petcan is also in pretty great shape, and will stand watch near the door, enjoying the aid of the magic helm in detecting the thoughts of anyone close enough
Sitting down to rest and releasing his spell concentration, Randall says, “Let’s stay in contact with the guards and be ready to move back down and shut off the water when they are ready.”

Zenodor will sit down and rest. If he can get comfortable enough, he will happily close his eyes to rest properly - secure in the knowledge that his magical Sword will alert him if anyone tries to attack
Baldit doesn't see anything out of the ordinary happening in the city.
You all get the benefits of a short rest.
Also you all advance to level 10.

"We should probably collapse those tunnels, right?" Petcan asks tentatively.
"I would expect that the rushing floodwater through their tunnels dug in the dirt will probably do that for us. Also, the town guards can now keep an eye on the sewers and have the same plan ready again. I doubt the Goblins would try such a costly and pointless plan twice - at least not while they are this well led and organised."
Z pauses and ponders this point for a second
"We need to fight the source of this rot, not the symptoms. I think that we should focus our efforts on finding who or what is behind these Goblins, driving and organising them. Goblins do not usually fight as an organised army or lay siege. At least not without some powerful leader. That is whom we must try to find.
Perhaps our new friend Mignon can help smuggle us out of the city and behind enemy lines to help us get started."
"Well, it's possible, I'll give you that. I could lead you up along the North coast and 'find' a way through the siege lines."
Mignon scratches at the stubble on his chin a couple of times.
"But... there might be some costs." He hastily adds, "For supplies and such, of course. I mean, it's not an easy trek."

"Could I promise you one favor from a man who can conjure dragons and fireballs after the siege is over? Maybe before if there's a bit of time to spare. I also play a bit of music if you need some for a party." Petcan says all this very wistfully, optimism apparent.
Tempe thinks for awhile, then states "A leader would require high security. Perhaps away from the frontlines. If we only had a scout to find out where."
"We could send out Irraxan to scout the area. He can fly, make himself invisible, and has already proven himself capable of such missions. However, I fear we need something more specific to look for. An encamped army will have 'security' everywhere. Perhaps there is something more easy to spot that is out of the ordinary, such as an opulent and luxurious tent, or a large flock of messengers routinely heading out from a central point. Do you have some ideas on what specifically we should try to spot?
Once we know where to go, we can ask our friend Mignon here to get us close"
Turning to Mignon he says
"Similarly to my friend Petcan here, I can also offer you payment in kind - I have some magics that might well be useful for someone in your line of work."
"Yeah, I guess a few favors could go a long way, and besides I'm not going to be rotting in a cell somewhere when this is all over... right?"
Mignon asks expectingly hoping for even a half-hearted confirmation.

Petcan seems to be growing quite hot indeed, with the glow of fire in his chest visible once every few minutes of ordinary breathing, now.

Tempe thinks for a second "If the tunnels the goblins dug are still usable via water breathing. We could covertly attack them.."

(Sounds pretty cheap to me. I thought we were going to have to indebt ourselves for future service or run a sidequest first)
