Evre says “I may be no elf, but I will do it.  It has been my goal for a long time to try to find this place- it is only right I risk myself in this First step.   Now that the moon is out I am more confident.    I hope one of you can heal me if this doesn’t go well!”

she picks up the knocker and knocks boldly, three times.  

The KNOCKS reverberate and echo off of the chamber beyond, once they fade there is deafening silence for but a brief moment and then the grating sound of stone moving against stone can be heard as the entrance to the crypt of the Diamondews opens before you.

(For those who plan on entering the crypt please post the normal, like marching order, light sources, etc. If you don't put it in your post then we can't count it retroactively.)

 Kralog takes second place in the marching order, but will go further back if it means he's with Joroden. He'll also try to stay away from Vaden and Evre. Before they enter, he lights a torch and mutters a few words, causing it to shine twice as brightly as normal.

Joroden will follow Kralog, holding up a knife with Light cast on it.

Evre will follow Joroden, staying towards the middle of the group.   Her owl sits perched on a shoulder, alert to danger.

she lights a hooded lantern (with a word of prestidigitation magic)  and the lantern floats ahead down the hall in front of the group. (Unseen servant) 

Vaden takes up the rear position of the group. He will follow along, keeping his eyes on the area as they travel.

Is that everyone?

The 1st chamber is a small welcoming room, 10 feet wide by 15 feet long with an archway at the end leading into a grander looking chamber. A chair and small table/desk is set against the right wall. A finely bound leather ledger rests on the small table/desk and there is an inkwell and quill next to the ledger.

“I suppose we are meant to sign in,  It could be a trap, But I will take my chances..”Evre says.  She steps up to the desk and opens the ledger,  to see if there are names (and dates) there.   if they are, she will  use the pen and ink to sign in for herself “Evre Abraxus”.  She will also see if people before signed in individually or as a group...

There are some examples of each in the book, many are from centuries ago.

Some of the entries are for different people, a few only getting one mention, but almost 2/3s of the entries are for Vrexnus.

They are mostly family and friends who sign their names, some have small personal messages.

 *Loyal is outside. It sounded like that those who wanted to enter would enter.*

Vaden frowns as Evre signs her name in the book. He is not sure if that is wise or not, but waits to see what happens from the act. He is inside the room by the time the signing is done though.

Seeing Vaden’s expression, Evre smiles and says “it only seemed the right thing to do-  and look-  Vrexnus was here- signed perhaps using this same quill...”she looks at it all with awe,  the realization of what had been for her a long quest so close at hand..

As nothing untward has happened yet, Vaden nods. He moves forward and holds a hand out for the writing device. "It is surprising it works after all of this time." He comments as he starts to write his own name in the book. "You would think the ink would have run out before now..." he straightens after finishing. He then nods onward. "Shall we continue?"

Joroden will sign as well, and continues on with Vaden

Before entering the much grander chamber which is 80 feet by 80 feet, directly ahead across the chamber is another archway. Along each wall, left and right, are more archways leading deeper into the crypt.

(1. How many are going into chamber 2? The 80 foot room right after the sign-in entry room.)
(2. How many are remaining in chamber 1? The sign-in entry room.)
(3. How many are still outside the crypt?)

 Kralog will follow if anyone goes into the second room besides Vader or Evre. Otherwise he'll remain in the sign-in room and look around for things the others might have missed.
