The group decides to bunker down within the wreckage of the manse for the rest of the evening. Nova oversees the burning within the well and the external preservation of the building while Stacey keeps watch and tosses the larger tree remnants into the well to burn. It'll be a few hours before the last traces of the tree is cleansed entirely. With the courtyard being covered by them, and well on it's way, others are able to focus on the inside of the manse.
While Hamish meditated and Auric settled to review the map with KD, Hansel had some energy to spare for there was beauty to be made. With a flourish, he'd set out on his mission. Hansel would gallantly pick out the best pieces, rearranging the furniture, fluffing the pillows, straightening the carpets, aligning the damaged paintings, dusting and polishing every mirrored surface so he could see his his reflection, his cloak billowing brilliantly in his wake. His Goddess would be proud.
With help from her mage hand, and Hal, Fae first busies herself with disarming and repairing the trapped stairs. She then works her way through tidying the library and study. After a bit of reflection and review, Fae eventually returns with a summary and like a deja vu she breaks her silence. "The dragon that besets us is not the first, nor only, to threaten this region. Between here and Neverwinter lies the barrow mound of a warrior whose magical dragon-slaying weapon helped fell a green dragon terrorizing the High Road a century ago. I believe the Dragon Slayer is buried there too." Weapons to slay the dragon. That is why the Dragon's Barrow was the next location of interest. The wizard flips through her journal and presents some pages, providing all the information to those who wish to review.

Taking a seat against a pillar with KD, Fae reaches up to tug at Hamish's sleeve. She was proud of his clarity and confidence in his response. With his attention, she would pat the ground on her other side for him to join them while Onu grabs the coffer for KD as per her confirmation that all is safe. When Onu returns, she encourages him to take a seat with them if he'd like.
As everyone gets settled, the opening the coffer reveals heap of coins. Amongst the gold is a key with a question mark is worked into the head of it.
"Onu, Hamish, good questions. KD great assessment." Fae hasn't looked up from their notebooks, until now. "If I may," She asks if she may make notes on KD's documents, and copy some to hers, as she goes. KD, and Hamish, were free to review and copy from the wizards notes she was agreeing to share as well.
Nova anticipates that all these questions will lead into a large 'info dump', and if she knows Fae, which she does, it absolutely will. Therefore Nova bends over to invite Hal onto her back so they can go run off to inspect the belfry and roam the grounds while the brains launch into further discussions. Armed with KD's loyal companion, Nova bobs then stands at attention to solute the artificer and crew. "Okay, hang on Hal!" She chimes then starts to hum a nursery rhyme to herself before kicking into a spinning hop. "It'sy bitsy spi-" And with a little pouf the young woman transforms into a Giant Wolf Spider. With a little 'tada' she proceeds to spin and scurry off up the wall towards the bell first.
Without skipping a beat Fae looks to Onu first. "My personal opinion aligns with what KD said. To summarize, arm ourselves with as much knowledge and to be as prepared as possible." She gestures with a book. "Share, explore and consolidate information, as we are, to make an informed decision for our best course of actions." Then, she takes a breath and prepares for just that, some sharing.
"The dragon that besets us is not the first, nor only, to threaten this region. Between here and Neverwinter lies the barrow mound of a warrior whose magical dragon-slaying weapon helped fell a green dragon terrorizing the High Road a century ago. I believe the Dragon Slayer is buried there too." The wizard flips through some pages.
"I have some research... For a previous group... My intention was to seek a weapon for my- our... guardian, so he could be fitted with the Demon Slayer with enhancement assistance by our talented artificer... But, our group never got the opportunity to seek it out..." Fae's eyes look distant and sad, however she'd continue.
"It lead me to the story of Lady Tanamere Alagondar who was a royal scion of Neverwinter more than a century ago. Along with two parties of adventurers, she fought and killed Azdraka, a green dragon that had long terrorized the High Road. Lady Alagondar died in the battle and was laid to rest beneath a barrow near where the dragon fell. The remains of her fallen compatriots and the corpse of Azdraka were sealed in the barrow with her, in accordance with Lady Alagondar’s dying wishes. Dragon's Burrow." She makes notes on KD's map of it's location.
"The dragon KD describes, and that has been recently sighted, is a young dragon. It is yet fully grown. While it is young, that does not mean it is weak." Fae cautions. "I would not under estimate Cryovain." She divulges his name to specify the dragon they speak of. "According to KD's vision, it appears the young white dragon has been temporarily weakened." She emphasizes the differentiation. "However, he is fortified in his Fortress. And while he heals through the coming days, he's been assigned... a guardian." The divination wizard closes her eyes to exhale a breath before opening them again to meet Hamish's eyes. "A strong guardian." She says assuredly, pausing before adding. "One I've had the pleasure to have had at my side during a group encounter with a dragon."
"As for the future of embracing, or curing your curse, that ultimately is yours to decide." Fae's expression softens. "My only hopes are that what ever decision you make, you are being true to yourself." She offers a small smile and a gentle squeeze of his arm.
While everyone continues discussions, research and updates during their rest, Fae continues her additions. She includes Hamish's earlier share to KD's notes only feeling the need to add in small details here or there. He was quite thorough earlier with his knowledge share (religion roll 'way' back). She'd include anything new he'd like to add.
Fae's Summary:
Questions
A dragon? - There was one slain more than a century ago: Azdraka (Green) - Dragon Barrow (Quest) - There are more than one roaming these local lands now: Cryovain(White) - Cryovain has been sighted multiple times - Cryovain has been weakened, for the time being
How are we supposed to confront a dragon? - Seek appropriate weapons, attire and knowledge - Quest: Dragon Barrow - Additional Quests: Phandalin Job Board - Plan what you can
Why would a dragon need a guardian? - He's been assigned one: Ezekial - 'The Thrice-Cursed'
Is it really that weak? - The white dragon is a young one, who's been weakened.
Or is the guardian that strong? - Fae knows him to be strong protector
Vulnerabilities? - Nature check
Fortress lair? - History check

Auric and KD could come to calculate that it's approximately 45 miles to the Dragon's Barrow should they cut through the woods. That would take approximately 9 hours on foot, assuming they don't run into any delays.
Great post, ixi! You do Hansel better than I do! Thanks also for the recap.
Hansel listens and reads along as attentively as he can to the information, sighing at the story of the valiant Lady Alagondar and her final stand against the evil dragon. The rest of the information however all seems so technical, and he soon returns to admiring the face in his shield, and contemplating what manner of magic his goddess might grant him for their next adventure. That is until he observes how close the barrow is to the city of Neverwinter.
Oh, we'd be only a short distance away! That would be the perfect opportunity to pay a quick visit! We could fetch some supplies to help restore this place, and I'm sure there would be some excellent tailors that could work wonders with some of you. And if any of you haven't yet planned your costume for the Phandalin Masquerade Ball... mmm?
He winks conspiratorially, unaware that half this group probably aren't even aware of the ball, and the rest probably haven't given it nearly as much thought as he has.
”Was there not a circle of stones in the woods these orcish users of magic frequented? Perhaps a visit to that locale amid our travels to the barrow would be well-advised,” says Auric.
Fresh and well-rested, the dragonborn mage appears ready for the next adventure…”And forsooth, a sojourn to Neverwinter may be quite advisable, most especially if therein dwells an artisan of great skill with timepieces,” he adds, holding up the golden watch that surely seems like it could use some repair.
The group settles in for a somewhat cozy night thanks to a little refurbishing and rearranging. The night passes without incident.
Auric would note that the Circle of Thunder would be approximately 2 hours north if the group did want to consider a small detour before heading to the Barrow.
“A-a Masquerade Ball?” Fae would shuffle a little, and look herself over. She’d probably need more than just a tailor. She’d need her own equivalent fairy god mother. Perhaps a Sune Cleric would take her under his wing.
Where's Hansel? I haven't seen him since he said something about going to Neverwinter for party clothes...
It's not unusual to find Hansel staring into a mirror for extended periods... but to find him staring pensively out a window? He's taken time away to do something he doesn't often do: think!
Hansel watches the beautiful sunset, seeing the evening light fade and turn into starry night. He is aware of the obvious look of shock that must have crossed his face at Fae's barely-voiced remark about the ball. He recalls his initial thought of disdain that someone so disfigured - a nice enough girl, but those scars! - should contemplate attending the ball. She would need a large mask, that's for sure, he had thought to himself. Naturally he was intending to ask someone like Halia Thornton - someone with obvious natural beauty - to accompany him.
But standing there in the midst of the half-ruined manse, pitying the hope and expectation in Fae's poor countenance, a thought had dawned on him: This girl's dedication to beauty had been no less - greater perhaps! - than his own, in regards to the manse. Hansel's mission thus far had been to "Smash Ugliness", and so serve Sune by ridding the world of the unsightly, and so they had destroyed the demonic tree. But Fae had demonstrated her desire to create beauty, to turn this one-beautiful-but-now-corrupted mansion into something attractive and delightful once again. Wasn't it better to create beauty than simply to destroy ugliness?
Then a second thought had occurred to him, like the dawning of a second sun, and the revelation was as shocking to the self-centered cleric as a strip of depilatory wax paper being ripped from his mind: "Beauty is more than skin-deep" It had always been an empty platitude to Hansel, something spoken by the clergy but without any practical application. Now he understood. Despite her physical deformity, Fae was truly beautiful, inside and out! Hansel thought he could recognise beauty: but Fae had the kind of soul that could not only recognise hidden beauty, but also the potential for beauty, and the means to see it awoken or restored. And those qualities granted Fae a beauty that was permanent; far more to be admired than the fleeting comeliness of youth, which fades like the summer blossoms. Hansel thought he knew love: but Fae expressed a love for what could be, a desire to restore what was marred, and a passion to make it so. And those qualities granted Fae a loveliness that was eternal; far more to be admired than the fleeting infatuation of summer lovers. Beauty and love. Love for beauty. And with a greater depth and permanence than Hansel had considered, and which he had always overlooked.

The sun rises over the horizon, casting a beautiful golden hue upon the wild pumpkin patch field that surrounds most of the manse. Boars continue to graze amongst them, enjoying the extra hydration that came with the morning dew. The morning was extra crisp, for seasons change and there's an extra chill within the air. Not only did Hansel's heart grow three sizes over night, but so did his mind and spirit. It was as if there were a whole new world waiting for him out there. His armour shone brilliantly bright, he moved with added grace and his cloak bellowed with extra elegance.
In the courtyard a once raging fire within the well was now smoke and coals. Over night the open space was cleared of bodies by Stacey, which were then burned and buried outside of the Manse, at the burial grounds. During that time Nova cleared the last bits of tainted timber, ensuring they too were burned to ash. This morning, she's now rolling in the fresh green grasses and frolicking in the blooming flower gardens that now adorn the area. While some scorch marks were still evident in the manse, the missing parts of the wooden structure were now supported by new native tree growth.
Fae could be found sitting amongst the wild garden, beneath one of the house's sprouting tree branches with a couple books scattered around her and one in hand. Unsurprisingly she was peacefully doing her morning review and preparing herself for the day ahead.

Fae Don't know if I ever shared an image of her, but this is Fae:
Her scars cover her limbs (hands, arms, feet and legs) for the most part, but not her face or core: 'The burns from her hands blanket the length of her forearms, all the way to her shoulders which then fade to flecked patches where the flames kissed her clavicles, chest and neck.'
"Should there be no objections about Auric's suggestion to seek out the Circle of Thunder first, shall he lead the way this morning?" Fae looks up from her book.
KD was happy to see Hal helping to disarm the stair trap, and then to find small bits of cursed tree that may be missed by larger hands, while she spent her time helping to rebuild the house. It felt good to improve something in this way. She spends some time reconnecting with Onu, who's been quiet of late.
And then she reminds herself that she is part of a larger group, and she tries to check in with the others, and get to know the new additions (or was she a new addition to them?).
"I am ready to move along, thank you for being patient with me,"she says in the morning, patting Hal on the head. The monkey darts along to scout, excited to move, finally. "I believe our path lies that way."
(Picked up detect magic and absorb elements, dropping tasha's caustic brew and sanctuary)
Hal darts ahead, leading the group from the manse grounds. As the group files through the pumpkin patch towards the woods to the north, one of the grazing boars lift their head. Soon another, chomping away at their meal. Then another lifts their head. And another. And another. And another... Until nine boars all surround you.

Hansel's squeal of surprise is more high-pitched than the boars', but the cleric manages to interpose his shield between himself and the precipitous porkers, which end up head-butting their own reflections. Spiritual Spanker v AT3: Attack: 18 Damage: 9
