Blitz it seems Gareth is about to speak before you hear a thud under the table and Gareth winces.
"Who said we worked for the Wintermarshs," Bryn asks giving you a hard look before glaring at Kriz. "WhoI watch isn't going to come cheap or easy," he then says with grin but it's not a pleasant one as he shuffles his cards around in his hand waiting for Kriz to bet or fold.
“We’ve only just met, Zeek, and you’re already making assumptions about me,” Ru grinned, not at all objecting to said assumption. “I’ll be back.”
Ru’ianna approached the clerics at the doors to the temple, doing her best to look a little sad. “Hail and well met,” she greeted them. “I think it was a beautiful ceremony. My mother used to work for the Wintermarshes, before she passed. The lady of the House was a difficult woman, but she was always fair to us. I’d like to express my condolences to Tobias, do you know where I could find him?”

“Oh I told Lord Thunderbrand how we met back in Ank’Harel and told him you were true gentelmens and honest people. “ she says ignoring Bryn’s glance and tossing 7 silver to the pot.
“One please”
Then she continues speaking paying more attiention to the cards than to what she is saying, making it sound casual.
”He is looking for some trusted guards to go with him in his journey back to Kraghammer once his bussines here are finished. And I thought of you two.” She looks to the pot and then to Bryn “ Are you going to go or...” she points to the pot and smiles.
Ru the cleric you approach is a middle-aged human woman with a stern and somber expression.
"Can't say as I recall a name of a single of the Wintermarshes save Valora having married into that lot," says the cleric with a shrug. "Those Wintermarsh worship at Melora with their wine making and snobbery," she says looking to a younger male cleric, Ranla and Zeek you see the man who ushered you out of the temple speaking to Ru now, "Isn't that right Elias," she asks the younger man who he nods at you Ru then smiles widely.
"I believe in the Abundant Terrace is where those people are from and where they worship. No true believe of Erathis would have had us close the temple no matter how much danger then imagined the family to be in," the young cleric replied with a huffy tone. He then explains where you'd find the temple of Melora but all the party see is you conversing with him and then gesturing to the northwest.
Ru you know this is the north to south road out of the bazaar. So also remember it's where the majority of the carriages came to pick up the leaving fine folk from the funeral procession that stopped short of going into the catacombs under the temple of Erathis.

“Why was the service held here?” Ru’ianna asked the woman. “I must admit, it’s been a decade since I was last in touch with the Wintermarsh family. But still, nothing in my experience ever hinted at them wanting to worship Erathis.”

Ru: "She was a Yoxall," Elias replied looking at you curiously now as if this is something you should know being a self professed servant of he family. Elias looks at you hard, he's insight checking you right now. 14 He knows you're lying now. "Go on," he then says with a frown. "I'm not getting in trouble for the likes of you," he adds next turning from you as the older woman's expression still remains stern and somber.
"You should know better than to lie to get the truth little girl," the older female cleric says shaking her head remaining on the steps. She's not barring your entrance but you know from her hard expression you're not exactly welcome.
Frandal: Bryn rolls his eyes; he knows you're lying. "What's you real angle here," the half-elf asks with a smirk dealing more cards.
Gareth antes; takes his hand; grinning he adds 3 silver to the center of the table.

"I was ten when we left, and never one for religion," Ru'ianna shrugged. "Thank you for your help, praise be to Erathis."
Ru turned and walked back to the human and orc. "We should head to the Abundant Terrace, that's where the rest of the family really worships," she told them in hushed tones. "Come on, this way."
Zeek nods and says, "Well, that at least partly explains why they weren't here. Still though, I'm not liking this. If the family is paranoid and powerful enough to shut down temples and hire a private army, we might be in for some trouble. Not sure it's worth the artifact, particularly since I'm not really in this for the money."

He'll throw in the 3 gold for the bet. And say "I appreciate your loyalty to the house you protect. But I'm sure as their guards you've seen them frequent the better places in town. Places more suitable for a noble. Can you point out a few? I would love to visit them while I'm in town."
Bryn folds but Gareth eagerly matches your bet Blitz and adds his own 3 gold pieces.
"We don't go in so I can't say he goes to any nicer places that let's us in," Gareth replies to you but pauses when Bryn sighed loudly. "Well we don't," he adds.
Bryn gets up from the table.

The half elf folds not even looking at her cards. She looks both wounded and worried by the abrupt leave of Bryn. Despite his stoic character she likes him.
She turns to Gareth with the sweetest look in her eyes.
" My dear Gareth " she puts her hand in forearm and let her hand there. " If Bryn wouldn't had left so abruptly I could have explain to him. You know that I am not very fond of Tobias but you two are my friends. At least I would like to call you that " she adds in lower voice, looking down for a second. She lowers her voice, Blitz still can hear her but she approaches to Gareth so he can hear her better, and smell her violets perfume.
"Nevertheless Lord Thunderbrand here has told me that maybe Tobias had gotten himself into trouble by keeping to himself an item that doesn't belong to him. He is trying to reach him, even though this dificult times for his family, and try to solve the whole mess. We don't want that neither Tobias nor the Wintermarsh family getting involved in any kind of scandal out of just a misunderstanding, but you know how this things works. The people just love to gossip. And that's why we are trying to keep a low profile here. And by any circustance I would allow that you two, specially you get involved in this matter. Explain the whole situation and finish the matter quietly and fast. Could you help me going after Bryn and explain this to him? Please? "
“Why do anything if not for some coin?” Ru’ianna arched an eyebrow. “Besides, a good challenge is always more fun. If this were easy, what would be the point?” The rogue began to lead her two new companions through the crowded roads of Vasselheim as they made their way to Melora’s realm.
