Gorgo has heard all he needs to hear (the bandits are in the mines).
“Gorgo should lead. Gorgo’s armor is strong and the Forbidden Spear is mighty. Others should stay behind Gorgo. Actually, now that Gorgo thinks on it… what exactly can each of Gorgo’s friends do? When battle is joined - how do you battle?”

As Cyrillus examines the map and finds the helmet that fits him best he thinks on Gorgo’s statement. “I can keep a keen eye out and am a fairly good tracker. In a fight I can handle myself and heal some but that isn’t my specialty.”
Alasse finds a helmet that is a bit too big and falls over her eyes a bit as she struggles with it. As Gorgo declares he should lead, she laughs. "Well my brave friend, I am no warrior. I am skilled in the arts of of storytelling and my stories can inspire and empower my allies or harm my enemies. When we were ambushed was my first fight though." She looks around a bit nervous at how new she was to this whole outside world. Under her breath she nurmers, "I miss my shrine."
"Well I at least couldn´t do without your soothing tales Alasse." Lord Darcio says in a sincere and gentle tone smiling at the elven bard. "Now let me help you with that." He adds and gently adjusts the helmet on her head. "On you everything looks good milady." He says and winks.
Lord Darcio then turns to Gorgo. "I don´t doubt your bravery Gorgo, or the might of your spear, but as the dwarf said we should expect traps, how will you handle those taking the lead if I may ask? As for myself I have some fire magic of my own in store for those vile bandits." He adds confidently patting the rod at his belt.
Gorgo dons a helmet, though it hangs off the back of his stubby horns, covering more of the back of his neck than his head.
”Traps? Gorgo encountered many traps in the Trial of Goblins! … erm… Gorgo fell into many painful traps. Spikes… prickly bush traps… falling rock traps… Gorgo hates traps! Traps are the last resort of the weak and the cowardly!”
After a pause, “But Gorgo is strong. If traps must be sprung, then Gorgo will spring them all if necessary. Bandits cannot hide from Gorgo.” He says this with conviction in his voice, though you might detect a hint of nervousness in his eyes as he glances toward the cave.

When the discussion of taking point comes up she will look up. I will take the lead. I can disarm traps. Others can help me spot them and Gorgo can be first behind.
She looks at the strange but perhaps brave kobold If we run into bandits, Gorgo should take the lead. I will aid him in battle. I fight best with others drawing the attention and will help them be more effective.
Brilyn will try on a helmet as well and make sure the leather straps are covering her body as best she can place them.
"Very good milady, ready to enter the mine and to exterminate those unlawful vemin, or bring them to swift justice by the town council should they choose to surrender to our overwhelming might."Lord Darcio answers Brilyn, putting on his own protective headgear unfortunately not very haute couture, and lighting a torch as they enter the mineshaft.
(OOC: So perhaps Brilyn and Cyrillus first, and Gorgo, Darcio and Alasse a bit behind them right?)
The mineshaft entrance is long and straight, and those of you without darkvision have tapering vision as the outside light gets farther and farther away. There are wooden support posts set up periodically. There are no sign of people yet. You approach the first diverging mine path, and you recognize it on your map as leading to a small mining chamber. Brilyn, assuming you're taking the lead, please make a Perception check.
As Lord Darcio helps her with her helmet, she blushes a hit. "Now you are just lying to me friend." She hurriedly turns around and starts fussing with her great.
Alasse follows the group a bit behind. Looking around nervously, she sighs and hurries to catch up.
If acceptable, Gorgo will help Brilyn look for traps.

Brilyn, you notice something peculiar by one the support posts. By closer inspection, it seems to be two pieces of wood tied together with a string. There seems to be some kind of thick white powder on the wood. You don’t notice anything else strange so far - no people or creatures are present, nor are there any signs of them. However, even with the map, it is still somewhat confusing to navigate without making noise. Anyone please make a stealth check (I’ll take the first 2 and then average it for the party).
"Perhaps I shouldn't lead. I am human and my eyes can't see easily in the dark. It'd be best if we didn't light a torch so that we can stealth but that means I won't be able to see. I think I should be in the middle so that I can be guided. I will listen for any threats and should a fight start I'll fight as best as I can."
Cyrillus walks after Gorgo following where he hears them walking and what he can see of them in the dark. He also will be listening carefully for any incoming threats.

You are all able to walk along the path of the mineshaft rather quietly, and even though some of you occasionally trip over a stray rock or bump into one of the support beams, but you're able to do so with making little noise.
(Using Brilyn's earlier Perception check) The entire cave has been dark up until now, when down one of the mine pathways, you can see a flickering light. You can hear the faded sound of footsteps down this pathway.
Those who can see Gorgo would notice is his posture change slightly. Under his breath he hisses quietly, to no one in particular…. “The enemy is near…“. It is not fear or caution, but breathless excitement in his voice.
