"Yes, onward." She agrees with the consensus that they will either make Greenest safely or worst case find themselves captured again to be released by us.
She studies the Fungi as the approach the paths to try to determine what sort it may be. nature24
Kiari sees nothing out of the ordinary at first, but upon a closer inspection, the path to the right is flanked by mushrooms with a violet hue to them.
@Kiari
You would remember this from a lesson on the violet fungi: This purplish mushroom uses root-like feelers growing from its base to creep across cavern floors. The four stalks protruding from a violet fungi’s central mass are used to lash out at prey, rotting flesh with the slightest touch.
Inglenook sees that the path to the left, cutting through the fungi patch, is fairly well worn with some recent kobold tracks going in both directions. He also spots a switch next to the ramp.

The professor stands at the top of the landing and looks over the mushrooms with interest. It seemed strange to find such a garden in the midst of the cultists and he wondered what they used them for.
Knowing little of plants or nature he looks over the garden for potential dangers.
"Wait, take this path on the left. I know those mushrooms," She whispers urgently, pointing at the Violet Fungi. "They have root-like feelers growing from their base that creep across cavern floors. Those stalks protruding from their center lash out with some sort of necrotic attack."
Travis nods at Kiari's words, clearly assuming she knows a great deal more about deadly fungus than he does. He follows along, avoiding the violet fungus path.
The party descends into the fungus patch, and the professor does not spot anything out of the ordinary among the green and yellow fungi.
The chamber narrows slightly and then opens to a much larger room, still dimly lit by some torches. The party would see 2 dead crumpled bats on the floor of the cavern. The cavern then narrows with a wide passage to the left or some stairs descending to the right.
(Let me know if anyone wants to investigate the bats)
At the mention of the switch, Kirari glances over to see if anything might be more obvious from her angle near the bats unless something else requires her attention.
With your knowledge of nature, you would quickly realize that this bat has been drained of its blood. You would also know that this species startles easily, so it would be best to proceed with stealth!
Kiari spots the gnome with their hand on the switch but cannot discern anything odd about it or see what its purpose may be.
@Travis
Put Travis would see that the blood has been totally drained from the bat, and its bones are broken from falling from its perch at the ceiling of the cave. Perhaps a predator like a stirge or a larger vampire bat could have done this?
(If Inglenook wishes to operate the switch, I'll need a dexterity check)

Cale bounces on the balls of his feet, getting an itchy feeling on the back of his neck. "Let's be careful before we play of the nice people's toys, eh?"
He inspects the lever to see if he can discern its purpose and/or spot any traps connected to it.
Investigation 5
If this fails, he will use a psychic dice to add 3 (but the dice is only used if this turns failure into success)
Inglenook hears the others concerns and backs away from the switch, realising that it could be a danger. But at the same time still very keen to flick the switch to see what happens.

Inglenook stows away his rope, a little disappointed that the word 'gnome' wasn't mentioned.
He looks around to see if there is a path more trod than the other. May give some idea as to which way to go.
Investigation - 11
@DM meaning more the variety -> edible, attacking/harmful, decoration, illumination

Thaddeus nods to Kirari. “I will follow you, more trained fighters and explorers.” He will follow behind the others and keep his eyes open.

@DM do any of the others notice the switch or just Inglenook?

"Hey, there's a switch over here near the ramp. Any idea what it could do?" He says to no-one in particular.
He wraps his hand around the switch carefully...
The professor stops and looks at the gnome. “A switch?” He eyes the ramp and then the switch. “Anyone know what this switch might be for?”

Travis regards one of the bats to see if he can learn anything from the deceased creature.

@Cale
You would find that the lever works a mechanism that would collapse the ramp and dump folks into the violet fungus!
(I'll take stealth checks to proceed through the bats' cavern)
