"Enough are," Galingal says, as he starts looking for an out of the way alcove, cave, or something else that will make a good place to conceal themselves.
It's been a while since the last pillar of stone, that often act as an anchoring point to a radius of webbing, you could back track to get to it, or Stena recalls spotting a swath of silk running perpendicular to your current strand up a short distance back, it's just twenty feet below, so would require dropping off your current strand onto that one. The halfling wriggles. "I can walk, thank you for freeing me. Drow? I wonder if they are looking f-- I agree, best to avoid them."

"Looking for... looking for slaves. Everyone knows the drow are perfectly willing to capture free folk and use them as labor. Please, don't squeeze me there."
"Yeah, looks doable... make sure you don't have anything sharp sticking out, don't want to nick the strand as we land on it, totally bad form. Spiderbait'll go first, I'll go last. As long as you full send it, you'll be fine, just get out of the way so the next one can drop in!"
"Totally drop in!"
Spiderbait stands with his back to the edge and falls backward, hitting the crossing strand with his back and springing back up to his feet. He steps back, but stands ready to stabilize whoever jumps next.
((Athletics or Acrobatics to hop down, if Stena is doing so while carrying the halfling, at disadvantage. Not really a fail situation, but low rolls will cut into time.))

Galingal looks at the halfling for a moment, but decides they don't have time to question them. He follows along the strands back to where Spiderbait dropped off and follows suit.
A few of you, when jumping down, have a foot go though the web in a stomach clenching moment, where it takes time to pull the leg back free, and makes it that much more nerve rattling for the next one to jump. Thorum manages to trip and lands face first in the web, and begins to panic, it taking a bit to get him settled. As you're all up and moving, Kolose, with his extra good darkvision, can make out signs of the drow and their quaggoth slaves approaching, the strand you all leapt from swaying with their movement.

As the party moves away from the intersection of webs, it becomes clear that Kolose, Stena and her halfling cargo are falling behind. The old human is a bit in the lead by virtue of hopping down first and Spiderbait having sent him on his way. The drow don't seem to be traveling at a rapid pace, and the stragglers are able to get about 80 feet from where you dropped down before Kolose spots movement at the edge of his vision.
A moment later there is a surprised cry, quickly hushed, and the swaying of the silk path, visible only to Kolose, becomes more rapid as a group of drow point in your direction and raise hand crossbows. A trio of bolts arcs out of the darkness behind you.

((I keep forgetting that Stena is invisible if only able to be seen via darkvision, which she would be here. The drow would still see a halfling being carried by an invisible figure, in that case, so could still try to take her down. They already had disadvantage due to range, but advantage due to Stena not being able to see them, and then that would give them disadvantage again for not being able to see her, but all advantage and disadvantage cancel out, no matter how many, but I'm going to say that the halfling provides 3/4 cover rather than 1/2 in that case, such that the first bolt hits Stena, and the second bolt hits the halfling, and he gives out a groan of pain.))

"Come now, surely not all drow can be bad," Kolose says, surprisingly optimistic... And then presumably catches the Stena deadglare.
"Not that I'm disagreeing with your assessment to avoid them, of course!"
"Enough are," Galingal says, as he starts looking for an out of the way alcove, cave, or something else that will make a good place to conceal themselves.

Stena grunts her agreement to Galingal's statement but her eyes mostly scan their surroundings for a place to get out of sight.

Stena doesn't let go and in fact tightens her grip, squeezing ever so persuasively,
"Ye were saying something about them looking for something?"
As she starts moving back to that perpendicular thread and says to her guides,
"We need to get down there. That possible?"
