Stena makes sure she's well hidden in darkness before slipping forward, the silk lined tunnel culminating in a grisly sight. The first thing she sees is the rest of the spider, well and truly dead, the remaining legs pulled tight, and multiple slashes and hacks indicating that ending it was a brutal affair. Her attention is fairly quickly drawn towards the back of the dead end tunnel, where a silken bundle has been sliced open, this one having apparently contained what was once a drow, though it takes more than a few seconds to place the pale skin and white hair amid all the blood and viscera.
She hears a rapid breathing, and startles a bit before realizing its her own, her pulse pounding as she has unpleasant flashbacks to a similar scene, the body meticulously eviscerated and the organs spread beyond the upper half in an arcing halo. Her memories superimpose Eldeth's face on the corpse momentarily, but then it's gone, and she's back to sharing a cave with a gutted drow and a dead spider.
As the torch bearers come closer, Galingal realizes that the reddish glow comes not only from the reflected torchlight, but from the skin of the scantily attired creatures carrying them.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Stena turns slowly in the confined space before swallowing and moving to the far wall and seeing if she can cut through it to, hopefully, the tunnel beyond.
She'll also give the corpse a check to see how recent this was.
The webbing at the back is dense, and she can feel the outline of other silk wrapped shapes, harder, perhaps the bones and whatever is indigestible walled over with silk like some arachnid midden heap? It's possible it connects further back to a tunnel, but would require some cutting... or burning... to get through and see.
The body is well cooled, and the blood congealed, but the display is still wet, the humidity in this spider burrow is high and could have delayed drying. Stena would estimate that it's likely been a few hours, but not more than eight.

Lia looks around."I know Fargas'll appreciate it if we can get to somewhere that we can have some light."
"Walking across spiderwebs in the dark is very nerve wracking.", agrees the halfling.
"Let me take a look."
Lia heads in followed by the halfling and once past the turn in the tunnel, lights up a magical source of light. They both gasp at the sight.
"I can burn it, but if I just set a fire at the back, this whole place is lined in silk... we'd get chased back out onto the strands with a fire behind us. If the strands caught, we'd be worse off than we are now.
"Ah, excuse me... maybe some sort of firebreak midway here, so we can burn the back and wait in the front, down low under the smoke? Cut free the silk so there's a gap, the fire won't be able to cross? Have to be bigger at the top, the flames may lick along the ceiling, but should be doable... Errr, um....",the halfling volunteers before casting eyes at Stena and going quiet.

Galingal watches the fiery salamander creatures for a couple of extra moments trying to decide what direction they're going. They're not drow so that's a plus, but they also haven't found an overabundance of non-hostile creatures in their travels either. If they're not coming towards the group and there's no sign of Stena or the others being held prisoner among them, Galingal is all for just letting them walk on by.
They don't seem to have any prisoners, there are a pair of large lizards being lead towards the back that seem to be pack animals. At the back of the procession, a more heavily armored individual rides on the back of a large flightless bird creature.
The procession winds its way past you underneath, before the presumptive leader calls out in a tone reminiscent of shifting coals crackling in a fire. The procession halts, and the leader details a couple of the underlings to accompany it as they raise their head, seeming to sniff the air.
((Gal and Kolose can give me Perception checks, Kolose at disadvantage))
"Absolutely, Ma'am.", the halfling seems to resist an instinct to salute, taking the shortsword and joining Lia at clearing away the silk for a fire break.
He returns a while later, handing her shortsword back to her. It seems he's taken care to wipe it clean before returning it. "Drow's sheathes were empty, either they fell out before the spiders wrapped him, or whoever did... that.. took them. Still had a hand crossbow and some bolts though. We poked through the back, and we might be in luck, seems like there's some air flow, heading that way. Lia's gonna light it up and head out here hopefully it doesn't show too much."
There is the beginnings of a soft flickering red glow from deeper in, and Lia soon joins Stena and the halfling she mentioned as Fargas near the entrance to the cave. "It's lit, now we see we cleared enough!"
The crackle and roar of fire soon becomes audible, though the twisting and turning of the tunnel seems to prevent too much of the light from spilling out and silhouetting you, still, Fargas suggests pressing against the walls so as not to be backlit. "I'll go check on it, see if we need to run soon."
He returns a short while later, grinning. "We're in luck, flames are drawing the other way, see? Hardly any smoke coming out this way now.", he says, pointing upwards, where a bare trickle caresses the silk covered ceiling before drifting out into the chasm. "Hopefully the chimney up and out is wide enough to climb, and if it had any spiders in it before, they'll be dealt with by the time it's cool enough to use!"
Stena recieves the short sword back, sliding it back into place without a word. She watches Fargas stonily as he rambles but does nod on his having found a weapon. Her eyes flick to the flame before shifting back to the web and darkness beyond.
Moving to the side her eyebrow twitches as the halfing offers to run in and check the status of the fire and she gives a slight nod. While waiting for him to return, she'll side eye the unusually quiet Lia. She's happy to let that go on though. Probably forever.
When Fargas reports the news of a potential path up she'll say,
"Uh, some of the nearest are near to going out, should be able to move in to where the spider and drow are soon, but... it kinda stinks, just so you know."
"I'll be able to help snuff some of the fires as we go, and maybe cool things down a bit, but I can't do a lot at once.", Lia says excitedly.
The silk attached to the ledge you are waiting upon bends a bit under something's weight, all three of you reaching for weapons as a lanky goblin slides along the strands into sight.
"Found dudettes and little dude! Totally gnarly!", Spiderbait says by way of greeting.
Galingal can clearly smell something burning now, and looking around, sees smoke beginning to trickle then pour from a vent hole in the opposite wall, about fifteen feet up and five feet across, yet a ways further down the tunnel. The red-skinned creatures seem quite excited by this, the leader directing a pair of them to climb up there and check it out, at least by their actions, as they hand their torches off to some of their companions and start trying to climb up, though they don't seem terribly skilled at climbing, their long delicate fingers looking more at home in an aquatic setting than scaling rock. One of them manages to make some headway, arriving up in the smoky vent to some minor cheers from below.
Thankfully they don't look back over their shoulder, or they might have spotted the group in their little alcove. The leader shouts at the less skilled (or lucky) climber, and they eventually manage to scramble to the top, re-affixing their shield and drawing their scimitar before crouching and heading in, heedless of the smoke. The rest of the group waits below, eyes fixed on the opening, that begins belching more and more smoke, and soon, an orange glow and audible crackle of flame. Rather than expressing any concern for the two that entered, the group seems excited.
Stena looks at the leg and follows the juices with her eyes and ponders what would have likely done something like that.

It appears to have been cut with a sharp blade, but not in a single slice, more of a frenzied hacking.

Stena looks over her shoulder, then down at her hands to make sure she is still not visible before creeping further along.

Stena turns and heads back out, gesturing for the other two to get inside. Once inside she'll say,
"Can ye burn through the back of this? We can't keep risking the webs. Better to get back on solid ground."
She adds before they reach it,
"There is a mess at the end here, all the more reason need to get out of here."

"Ye. Will. Return. This."
She'll pull her sword out as she says that and will hold it out to him.
She'll turn back around to head to the entrance but will suggest,
"Ye can check that... Drow for weapons too. Best ye get something to arm yerself with."
She'll then take a position where she is in the dark but not too far from the entrance should she need to rush back in.
