Though hopefully strong enough mentally to not be immediately scared of the creature that appeared in front of him, Pardot knows that casting spells against something directly next to him is always harder with them flailing around, so using the nimbleness of his people, dashes through or around legs, hoping to dodge any attacks, stopping just past his friends where he turns and casts a guided bolt as well as activating his star shield.

Round 2!
Shemshine's Turn!
Shemshine reaches out at the stunned Daventry and briefly grips her head with both hands. Black tendrils of shadow snakes into Daventry's ears, nose and mouth.
The shadow pulls back it's hands, hovers about an inch off the floor and floats toward Ludolf in the corner. The creature moves directly into Ludolf's space. He feel a deathly cold, chilling you to your very soul as the shadow's essence mixes with your very own.

Daventry looks a mess, blood pouring from her eyes, nose, and edges of her mouth, her life essence tinged black by the creature's invasion into her mind. She spits out some of the ichorous blood and quickly thrusts her rapier at the creature as it moves towards Ludolf.
Reaction: Attack of Opportunity: Attack: 24 Damage: 10
Retracting her blade from the opening she saw in the creature's defenses, she closes her eyes and releases her blade, letting it drop slowly away as she raises her hand above her. Wisps of light pour from her tattoos, flowing into her palm and forming a dark void surrounded by light, gathering in intensity. The void explodes forth, six magical darts of dark purple cores and white comet tails streaking into the creature, accompanied by a scream mixing pain and rage.
Daventry's sword cuts into Shemshine. It rips through the darkness however the blade does not seem to have the bite it usually does.
The darts of light slam into the shadow causing it to explode into countless bits of darkness. There is silence. The silence is then broken by a soft cackling that grows louder as the darkness coalesces on top of Ludolf, exactly where it was. The shadowy figure reforms as his voice echoes through the room, "Your power is impressive but mine is born from the chaos. Your petty weapons and magics will not bring me to heel."

Cornered by the Shemshine, Ludolf desperately tries to avoid the shadows tendrils when he notices the large wooden bookcase behind him and his awakened (deranged) mind comes up with a plan. He quickly glances over at Triäsa before turning and grabbing hold of the bookcase, pushing with his legs to make it fall over him and the Shemshine, using his telekonetic powers to aid him.
Str check: 14 Another roll if advantage due to telekinesis: 14
The bookcase wobbles and teeters at first it does not look like it is going to budge but slowly it tips forward. The potions and few items crash to the floor and break in a loud crash.
Shemshine turns his shadowy form a moment too late and as the heavy wooden object falls he cries out, "No! Not again!" The bookcase crushes Shemshine underneath again breaking it into a thousand tiny shadowy pieces. This time however the fragments can not coalesce. A soft blue glow eminates from the pages of Shemshine's book and the shadows are drawn into the tome. When the last piece is sucked into the book the cover snaps shut.
The silence that follows is very strange. You think about Shemshine's song but the words and the melody are gone from your consciousness.
Fembris is the first to speak, "I-I-Its gone!! You did it!"She rushes forward and jumps into Ludolf's arms giving him the biggest gnomish hug you can imagine.
You are out of initiative. Good work.

"Oh! Ludolf, are you alright?" Triäsa looks relieved as the bookcase misses Ludolf and seems to vanquish Shemshine. She's equally surprised at Fembris' reaction.
She turns her attention to the book, making sure it remains firmly shut. "I presume the shadow is gone, but not forever." If there is any way of securing the book closed she will.
Whenever Fembris relinquished Ludolf, Triäsa steps over. "You are alright I hope," she says with concern.
As the Shemshine disintegrates Ludolf at first stands with a surprised expression, not really expecting his enlightened (deranged) idea to have much success. As Fembris jumps into his arms he at first just holds her a bit awkwardly but after a moment he realizes the gnome's hug feels kind of comfortable with all that has happened. After a moment he puts her down gently and turns to Triäsa and nods. "Yes, yes, never better Triäsa." He says with a wide smile, almost seeming as he is about to hug her too.
Triäsa smiles, hearing that Ludolf is fine. She doesn't wait to see what he is going to do, simply moving forward to give him a quick hug.
Still standing close to him, she says, "We should probably see if this has ended the curse for everyone. And then figure out what to do with this." She holds up the book. She then glances towards Crinkle. "And her. And how we get out of this cellar!"

As your vault over Fembris and dodge around Klin you release you magic that slams heavily into the creature. Bits of the shadow waver and dissipate.
Similarly, Ludolf magic strikes Shemshine briefly disrupting and injuring it.

(Your attacks are definitely hurting it, Shemshine just seems unconcerned.)
