"So, a couple of things..." Ludolf starts as soon as he has everyones attention. "I entered the minds of those present in the lounge, present party excluded, and this is what I found out. Seth is clearly playing his own dangerous game here, considering whether we can be trusted, wanting to figure out the magic of the paintings, seemingly not wanting to work for the sisters. We could perhaps confront Seth at some point and make him tell all that he knows, which is likely quite a bit. The servants were completely blank and possibly some kind of disguised constructs. The elf saw us as a possible opportunity, for what I do not know, but he too should perhaps be approached."
"The servants seemed to have powerful illusion magic," Triäsa says. "Perhaps they are not even really there at all. I was tempted to try to dispel one and see what happens." She then adds, "There was illusion magic around Seth too."
"What paintings do you think Seth is talking about?" she asks Ludolf.
"Not sure, but I seem to remember Barleybreath talking about a painting, one that supposedly transformed him. We should keep a look out for those paintings as we visit the sisters tomorrow, well unless we prefer to continue our investigation right away?"Ludolf says, looking at the others, then leaning down to check on Fistandia. "Klin, did you give Fistandia her medicine, her nutrition, roll her and massage her legs?"He says, glancing up at the monk.

"Maybe the illusion around Seth would explain what was wrong about him. His form might not quite match his appearance,"Pardot says thinking. With a sigh he adds, "I guess it's true that vanity is an easy trap for people. Though why they are trapping people we don't yet know. It's too bad though. I was quite looking forward to some stretches in the morning..."
((for the sake of time with pbp)) After the party has talked for an hour or so, Pardot says to the others, "You will need to excuse me. There is something I need to check this evening. I should be back soon." He then places a hand on his chest and takes a deep breath before turning into the same feline form he used to stalk the halls of the Keep to sneak out towards the pool. ((stealth 31
30 minutes or so after Pardot slinks off on his own, Ludolf (and any who remained in the room with him talking) hear a scratching at the door. Opening it Pardot, still in quiet cat form walks into the room and circles around before jumping up on the bed to begin licking his arms and cleaning his head and ears. As the others stare at him the cat pawses mid lick and then suddenly changes back into he familiar halfling form who says, “Ah right. Sorrrrry ((trilling the r’s like a purr)). Sometimes I get forgot I’m a cat. Very comfortable beings. Anyway…”Pausing he looks around the room and quietly continues, “Sylvarie, the founder of this temple seems to have gone missing. I met her friend, the lady of the lake… er pool. She lives in, or rather is the pool we were bathing in earlier,”glancing to Ludolf with a grin thinking that the old man was closer to a woman than he thought naked earlier, but suppresses that thought and continues, “I, we, were asked to find Sylvarie and to help purify this place. She also mentioned that ‘they’ are evil… though I now not who ‘they’ are…” He then absentmindedly licks the back of his hand before realizing what he’s doing and instead tries to pass it off creating the following days good berries in his hand to place in his pouch.
Ludolf is waiting in Fistandia's room, taking care of her, giving her medicine, nutrition, rolling her and massaging her legs, while Pardot the cat is away to take another bath. Ludolf opens the door as he hears the scratching, letting the cat back in again.
"Surely they must be the sisters that happens to run this place now They are probably also responsible for Sylvarie's disappearance." Ludolf says to the others. "Question is if we should go on to look for her now or wait until we have spoken to these sisters tomorrow."
Triäsa stays back in the room to help Ludolf with Fistandia. Though she does suggest perhaps taking a walk around just to see if there are any signs of a painting - or paintings - that they might be able to find.
Once Paradot returns she is a bit surprised. "Was this lady a water elemental? Or some sort of fey spirit attached to the waters?" She is very interested in what sort of being he might be talking about, but soon realizes that is probably not as important as the information about Sylvarie. "Could she be held somewhere here? Or outside the spa here? I would be very curious to know whether we can get out of this place or if it is warded or something somehow."
"I believe she was a fey spirit. One that is attached the the body of water they inhabit. She also has full control over the water. So we can likely thank her for the warmth in our baths earlier." He then starts to ponder to himself for a moment and adds, "Which actually makes me wonder. The being in the pool said that they could not harm her in the pool, but why then is she cooperating by making the water nice during the day? Perhaps they are threatening harm to Sylvarie.."
"So any idea where these paintings could be?" Ludolf asks Pardot. "I think they may be important. Remember, Barleybreath had a painting done of himself and then he changed into...well this new even more vulgar version of himself. Also we could try to find the dragonborn Edgar spotted earlier, but maybe it is too dark for such an endeavour. Also, I suppose we could find and interrogate Seth as he likely knows a lot of what is going on and seems not too loyal with these sisters."
"I'm not one for interrogations,"Pardot says, adding with a smile, "But sneaking around and listening I can do. Or perhaps we can just wait until the morning to see what we can learn naturally. I also plan to prepare to a way to cleanse our food for the morning."
See OOC chat. If I'm away, assume Pardot ritually casts purify food and drink in the morning on whatever they give. I'll be preparing on this next long rest.
"Do you think there would be any other places you can investigate tonight then Pardot?" Ludolf asks the halfling, then turning to the rest of the team. "I have my suspicions that these sisters that so conveniently have taken over the Restful Lily after Sylvaire disappeared are in fact a coven of hags or witches. They would likely be much much easier to deal with one at a time. If we meet with them as planned tomorrow morning we might have to face all three in combat. We have to assume they know at least as much about us as we know about them at this point."
"What is there to know of us that would make them wary?"Pardot asks. "That we are a group here to tend to a friend? Take a deep breath Ludolf. That yoga in the morning would do you more good than I, I think. If they are these hags you mention, we are on their ground. We should not do anything until we know for sure what we're dealing with. Meanwhile, Klin, take good care of our charge while we learn what we can. Until then, perhaps your feathered friend could learn as much as I could peeping through windows. I can even help him to be more graceful to stay quiet if you'd like."
if you want, I'll cast enhance ability cat's grace on your familiar to scout around. or the wisdom one if you think that'd be better for it's perception checks.

Ludolf grunts but nods, calling Edgar to his side, opening the window to let him in, suggesting Pardot use his druidic magic to grant the raven wisdom of the owl. Edgar then scouts the Restful Lily, discreetly looking through windows where he can, looking for the paintings and other interesting stuff. Perception: 14
As Daventry retrieves Fistandia's medicine and food from the bag of holding, she ponders at Ludolf's mention of hags, thinking back to her former home in Weirwood. (in PM)
"Triäsa and I can take a stroll, perhaps. T'would be innocent enough, just two ladies out looking to meet that elf or other interesting folk. I'm sneaky enough if we need it, and can summon my blade if we need that. Not to mention Triäsa's magic. Perhaps Pardot follows along as our pet housecat, or a mouse in our pocket or something."
She unholsters her rapier and sets it on the table. "If you see that blade disappear in a bunch of starlight, time to come running."
"Time to come running where exactly?" Ludolf mutters. "Are you suggesting I am not innocent enough to join you?" He goes on, but then he shrugs, realizing that the likelyhood of contact would be higher if he aren't around to scare any swooners off. "Perhaps I should mention that the elf in the bar is interested in you for some reason, and not in the way you might think. He could be approached but he definitely has his own agenda here. And the dwarf surely would appreciate a compliment on his wig. But sure, go ahead and fraternize with them and any other men you can find in this place."He continues to mutter. "While you do I might innocently walk some other parts of the Restful Lily."
"I mean, you do get the look of "I'm going to make your head explode into itty bitty little chunks just by glaring at you" whenever someone talks to me or Tri."Daventry looks to Ludolf. "Yep, that one, that look right there." She shrugs.
"Alright, you've made your point Daventry, I'm just uncomfortable with this place, you better go ahead now."Ludolf says, nodding at Daventry and Triäsa. "Have fun now you two."He forces himself to say as they are about to head out the door.
Triäsa tries not to laugh at the exchange between Daventry and Ludolf. "You do have a look sometimes Ludolf." She then glances over at Daventry, "Although I think you do as well."
"I shall accompany Daventry and see if I can help her make some new acquaintances. Sounds like this elf is a good starting point. if you need our room for entertaining him Daventry I'd be happy to just find a quiet nook to nap in." Triäsa adds, looking pointedly at Ludolf as she ends her statement.
