Seeing Pardot motioning that someone may be outside the room, Ludolf motions for the others to take cover while Pardot stands ready to open the door. He then takes cover himself behing a comfortable chair while listening for sounds from outside the door.
Pardot, you see the faux-Jaralaxe speaking with the barber, Ilam. "Now come, I absolutely must get a shave this moment. It will only take a second! I am sure the sisters and Seth would be very disappointed in the way you are treating a very important guest! Do you know who I am?" The drow says in a rather heated voice.
Ilam looks a bit uneasy, "I have an appointment that should be arriving soon... Though you are right I don't want to disappoint the Sisters... they have been good to me... Fine! But we will have to skip the massage for now, just a quick shave!" The two will head back toward the lounge unless they are stopped
Ludolf -- You hide very well behind the door, unfortunately from where you are hiding you can not see anything that is going on just hear the voices.

Hearing and likely recognizing the voices of Ilam and that insufferable drow Ludolf steps out from behind the door. "Ahem, yes, where were we." He says, looking at the others.
"I apologize, I should have thought of this possibility earlier. Do we know if the bag is sound proof? It seems we have to wait a while longer to talk to Ilam"He quickly messages Tri, Dav and Par.
Now that you know this object is a hags eye you know the object must be on the same plane of existence as the hags to function. Thavol's bag is a bag of holding and so placing the object in the bag would cause the hags to lose connection to the object. They would be completely unable to hear or see anything. Of course they would also know the connection was lost.

Ludolf shakes his head. "Nevermind, they won't see or hear us while the necklace is in Thavol's bag. We can't know for certain but we must assume the sisters heard what we spoke about earlier and that they know that we are on to them. We must expect them to confront us at any moment. I'm not sure what would be our best course of action but I think we perhaps should stay here until Ilam is finished with that drow impostor and then hear what he has to say. After that I think we should try to take on the sisters, one by one if possible. If they heard us, those wards might already be up again by now. I suppose we still have the option to use the necklace to feed them false information but after we put the necklace in the bag I think they would have figured out that we are on to them. If we're really lucky though they haven't bothered with using the necklace quite yet." He says, looking to the others in the team for their thoughts.
Daventry looks thoughtful. "I'm stickin' with my ballistae about the portrait theory. My guess, now that we know for sure the sisters are a bunch of hags-in-disguise? Sylvarie was the true mistress of this shrine, and they tricked her to be transformed by paintin' her as a medusa. I bet somewhere locked away in that tower are portraits for her, for the drow-turned-kobold, and whatever it was that was turned into Morty the dog. And I bet either with a dispel or with a blade, we could win a few allies and not have to face the hags alone."
She looks to Pardot. "If the wards were taken out by your Owl, and they require some time to cast, it might be our best chance. They don't know if we intend to break through the tower."
"The other option is we try to speak with Sylvarie herself. I can bind my eyes and approach unarmed, and one of you can set a mirror up if I need to bolt. See if there's just monster there, or if I'm on the right track."
"Though I wonder, if a hag can see through a necklace, and a medusa can turn anyone that sees them into stone... would such a magic transfer through the eye? Could take out three problems at once..."
Ludolf listens attentively at Daventry. "So that bird, it was your owl Pardot? I'm sorry to hear that. Edgar flew into a window earlier but he's just recovering in his pocket plane for now." He says to the halfling before turning to the others again. "To get to Sylvarie we would need the sisters help, and if they listened in and Sylvarie actually is that medusa I'm not sure they will let us get near her. Going for those paintings sounds like a better idea. If I had to guess it is not simply to run your blade through them but I'm not sure how we would find out how we deal with them. Perhaps Ilam knows something about them. I hope he will be back soon." He says, peeking out the corridor to see if Ilam is coming back from the lounge.
"Hopeful inaction won't get us anywhere. Was that him a moment ago? If he has information we need, we have a lack of time before it won't matter. No dallying!"
Daventry moves past Ludolf in the door and starts walking towards the direction he's looking. She will seek out the barber unless stopped by the party.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ludolf does in fact try to stop Daventry. "Just so you know, Ilam wanted to meet us privately, I'm not sure he's prepared to talk in the lounge, but I suppose we could go and check on him." He says quickly, then ready to follow Daventry to the lounge.
"Do not worry about the owl,"Pardot says. "The animals that I summon are only fey spirits temporarily brought to the world. It felt no pain and simply went home early."
Then thinking of the issue says, "Let us meet with Ilam first. We should also assume, like you said, that what we said was heard. We can hope that they weren't listening yet... but it's very hard to know." He then sighs, as things really are spiraling out of control it seems.
As you are leaving Klin looks up from his desk, "Do you want me and my book to come with you? Sounds like you are heading into danger..."

You all head out into the hallway and into the lounge where you would expect to see Ilam and faux-Jaralaxe but at first you see just the drow. He has an arrogant smirk on his face as he glares at Ludolf. Taking in the rest of scene you see through a window into the pool area. Ilam is walking with Seth and two of the silent servants.
If you decide to pursue them you could either sprint through the lobby and meet them in the pool or you could go north through the treatment rooms and cut them off in the courtyard behind the Temple.

"Yes, I think we could need every swinging book on the field right now." Ludolf says quickly to the monk before heading on to the lounge. As he sees the obnoxious drow he gives him a quick glare and heads for the courtyard to cut Seth and the others off, making a mental note of taking care of the drow properly before leaving this place. "This can turn violent fast now so be ready everyone."He says, motioning for the others to follow him.
As you all pass Jaralaxe you see him stick a half hearted foot out into the aisle in a poor attempt to trip you. Thankfully you are nimble enough to lightly skip over his leg avoiding an embarrassing fall of your own.
