As Ludolf seems to charge off after Ilam, Daventry shouts, "He said he'd be right back, Ludolf!"
She doesn't wait for either man, however. Daventry rushes towards the tower entrance, hiding near the doorway so that she could potentially get the jump on any of the sisters should they emerge. She spends a moment to summon her dagger, now fully equipped with the weapons she had left behind.
Fortunately, as Ludolf turns to chase the hair stylist the man erupts from the back door to the building. In his arms he carries a sword, a crossbow, a dagger and some light armor. He dumps it all on the ground and starts putting on his armor as he takes a deep breath and says, "Ah! I see you were successful in taming the beast as it were. You were fast I was gone a mere 18 seconds. Now let me properly introduce myself. Ilam Mizzrym, at your service."He bow deeply, "Part time master barber; full-time average Harper. As you can see things are not at all how they seem."
He looks around quickly and smiles. "I don't know how long we have before something else happens but I came here a few months ago to find a dear friend of mine who has disappeared. You've probably heard of her, Sylvarie Silversong. Been undercover trying to figure this mystery out but it seems my cover was blown. I must be slipping no idea how the figured me out..."
Daventry takes up post at the door to the tower. You could see the others but not hear what is said. Daventry roll perception

"Hrm, yes, blown, my fault entirely I'm afraid." Ludolf mumbles. "I think we can help you find your dear friend though, if you help us defeat the hags posing as the sisters." He adds, motioning impatiently for Ilam to hurry up to don his armor if he wants to be of any help. Ludolf would then move back to Triäsa, staying by her side now, looking around for the expected appearance of more enemies.

With Ilam in sight and Ludolf no longer running off, Triäsa has turned her attention to Daventry. She started to head towards her in order to be able to help should something come. Once near she would try to find a good hiding spot out of sight of the doorway.

Seeing Triäsa move closer towards Daventry and the tower entrance, Ludolf suppresses an urge to stop her, instead following and trying to find somewhere to hide in fairly close proximity of her, still very ready for a trio of hags to enter the stage.
"Hags!" The barber exclaims. "Yes that does make sense. All these illusions everywhere. Three 'sisters' doing almost certainly horrible things... that poor dragonborn. I heard they burned the last of his flesh off with acid the other day. Probably torture the poor kobold next." He finishes strapping his armor on. "I have some skill with a blade and I'll help however I can. Do you have a plan or are we going in swords blazing?"
Triäsa hides so well that for a moment both Ludolf and Daventry are not entirely sure where she went. Ludolf is less successful.
Daventry -- beyond the door everything is deathly quiet and empty at least on the first floor. You can also tell the door is not locked. It is even cracked open just a bit, ominous invitation inside.

"Creepy..."Daventry mutters. With a flick of her wrist and bit of magical energy, the mage hand pushes the door open further. She looks to the others, especially Ilam.
"Right. Likely chance the wards haven't been recast yet... So bit of blades blazin', though let's take caution as we proceed. I bet these old biddies have laid other traps."
She will nod to the others, drawing her rapier and slowly proceeding in following her mage hand.
(Looking for traps, last perception roll still apply? Or someone want to help?)
"I could do with some of those berries of yours Pardot."Ludolf says quickly to the halfling, then calling Edgar from his rest to serve his master once more, commanding him to scan the area from above, warning them of anyone is coming up behind them as they enter the tower.
Edgar perception: 11
Ludolf then follows Daventry inside, motioning for the others to follow too, trying to be wary of traps and ambushes. (Help action to Daventry)
(Suggested marching order: Dav, Klin, Lud, Tri and Par.)
"I suggest we don't quite charge in." Pardot says holding out a handful of berries ((10/10 currently remaining)). "Let us at least try to keep quiet."((reminder, Pardot still has pass without trace running. if possible, he'll add their new companion to it as well)). He then takes a breath and starts to creep along with the others ((stealth 30))

Like shadows on the walls you once more enter the tower. Entering into the foyer you came through earlier. This foyer has a central spiral staircase leading up. The staircase is flanked by two doors, each one set in the middle of a stone wall. The one on the left leads the room you had an audience with the Sister's earlier and is partially open. The one to the right is closed.
Again the area is deathly quiet. Not a sound from any direction.
"Once more unto the breach, dear friends... Once more..." Daventry whispers. She goes to the partially open door, her mage hand trailing close, and glances inside.
Opening the partially open studio door you find it unoccupied. Magical light illuminates this room, which has an oversized chair, heavy curtains covering the windows, and a large, ornate wooden chest. The room appears just as you left it, with the notable exception that the sister's are no longer here.

"Right, Pardot. Stay behind me, but keep a sharp eye. And... You remember where the trap was that killed your owl, yeah?" Daventry asks as she starts to ascend the stairs, shield ready to protect her short friend.

Triäsa nods silently in agreement with Pardot's suggestion to head upstairs. Quickly she casts Detect Magic to keep an eye out for any potential pitfalls, and out of concern for any ward that might remain on the stair. She also keeps her eyes open for any hazards. (Perception: 14)
As a quick addition, she sings quick chant to give Daventry Bardic Inspiration. (Add d8 to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw.)
(OOC: Ludolf should still have the Bardic Inspiration from Post #2972. I didn't see him use it and it lasts10 minutes)
Glancing into the studio, Ludolf gives the large, ornate wooden chest a curious look, but then he too gives Pardot a nod, following Daventry upstairs, slightly distracted by Triäsa's lovely chanting.
(Thanks for the reminder about the bardic inspiration Culuril :-)
