Pardot's instincts prove true. As you exit the house you find at least 30 ravens waiting for you. Again they seem to harbor no ill intent but are silently watching your every move. You circle around to the back of the house and find the graveyard as Edgar conveyed. Like everything on this cursed mountain it is overgrown and falling apart. A rusted iron fence encircles 6 headstones, two rows of three. Pardot notices a number of things immediately. Firstly, the middle headstone in the back row looks old and decrepit however the ground in front of it is completely dug up as if there is to be a fresh burial. From this open grave pours the mist that has swirls about your feet, it erupts from the ground like a volcano and flows like lava around you. As your gaze goes to the name on this headstone you take a sharp breath inward. There is no mistaken what is written; Ludolf Crowley. The date of birth matches Ludolf's and the date of death is listed as today.
The other graves are all closed and list members of the Brantifax family and read as below. All but one... the one to the right of Ludolf's reads simply Fistandia
Remaining headstones read as such;
BARON BRANTIFAX
Husband, Father, Hunter
“Let No Man Stand Above Another”
BRORN
Hound of Brantifax
Faithful to the End
HELUTHE
Our Pride and Joy
Lost Too Soon
SYLPHENE
Beloved Daughter
May She Find Peace at Last

Triäsa freezes in place, turning slightly pale as she reads the name softly out loud. "Ludolf Crowly." She shakes her head and steps over to Ludolf himself, resting a hand on his arm as though to assure herself he's actually still there. It's only then she notes the other headstone. "Fistandia? How could she be buried here? I mean, I guess that is more likely than the..." She can't bring herself to say the word. "The one that says Ludolf. It must be a trick. Maybe magic?"
Not moving from Ludolf's side she looks at the others. "It must be magic. We can spare a few minutes for me to cast a spell." She grabs her lute and starts strumming some notes, casting Detect Magic as a ritual (Presuming nobody stops her over the 10 minutes it will take.)
Ludolfs eyes widen as he sees his own name on one of the headstones. When he feels Triäsa's hand on his arm he is clearly comforted and nods, briefly laying his own hand on hers. "Yes, a devious trick, just like in Vermeillon, and the shadow I noticed earlier is likely responsible for this too." Ludolf says as he cautiously starts to inspect the graves. Investigation: 6 + Guidance: 2 Another roll if help is give:9
Triäsa's music fills the air and as the pleasent melody mixes with the mist you see it almost retreat from around her. As her ritual finishes she is overwhelmed with a sense of magic but it does not come from the headstone. The headstone seems completely natural, no illusions or spells, just words cut deeply in the stone.
The magic comes from the grave itself. It is erupting with more power and energy than you have ever sensed before. You don't sense any other magic near the house or the mists.
Ludolf you peer into the grave and your surroundings but you don't see anything as the mist is too thick.
A large raven descends from the sky and takes perch on Ludolf's headstone. It cocks it's head to the side and in a shrill caw it makes a noise that sounds eerily like "LUDOLF CROWLEY"

"Yes, what do you want with me?" He says a bit gruffly, but then he again uses the powers of his enlightened mind to enter the ravens mind. "We mean you no harm but we seek a portal that might be a danger to this land." Persuasion if needed to make the raven respond: 17 + guidance: 3
"Why do I feel the gravesite shitting out mist like a bad night out has something to do with this... Portal. Looks pretty dreadful." Daventry mutters as Ludolf engages the raven.
As you probe the bird's mind you are a bit surprised you find that it seems to have a more human awareness. You know that the subject of your mental intrusion has to be able to understand a language, typical beasts are beyond your ability to communicate with. That being said you don't get a response from this bird. It simply looks down at the grave, squawks incomprehensibly and flies off to a nearby tree.

"I have an ominous feeling that we need to enter this open grave to find the portal. And yes Daventry, it might even be that this is the portal."Ludolf says and looks to the others. "Or should we perhaps start with the worm infested tunnel." He adds with a wry smile. While the other ponders their options Ludolf sends Edgar down the open grave, using Edgar's sight to investigate where it would take them. "There is clear indications that the portal leads to the Far Realm, a horrible realm where only the strongest of minds will not be broken." Edgar perception: 17
Edgar disappears into the mist his senses completely obscured. He does find the bottom of the grave about six feet down. The bottom is hard dirt and mist leaks heavily from the dirt itself. He quickly returns from the fog and does not seem to have any ill effects or injuries.

(I rolled the wrong skill and I did not want to get a tag so post deleted and rerolled here. Just want to make sure everything is fair. My apologies.)
Just as you are about to turn from the grave you feel a sudden force from behind. Almost as if there are two invisible hands pushing forward into the grave.
Ludolf please make a contested str/dex roll to avoid being pushed into the grave.

You foot slides and slips and you teeter close to the edge of the grave but you are able to hold your ground. Turning no one sees anything or where this might have comfort. You hear a slight chuckle in the air.

"Hm, the shadow tried to push me into my grave, try to stay vigilant everyone. And Pardot, be ready with that starlight next time it tries something." Ludolf says, slightly shaken by how close he was to ending up in his own grave.
Triäsa grabs Ludolf tightly, pulling him back from the grave. "Stay away from that place!" she says, panicked. She then tries to calm herself, "I mean, we all should be careful. But we should move away from here. Perhaps we'll find something in that hole."
Still a bit shaken, Triäsa continues to stick to Ludolf's side.
"Oh..yes...ehm." Ludolf mumbles, seeming a bit surprised for a moment with Triäsa so close, "To the tunnel then." He says quickly, still staying close to Triäsa, relaxing a bit more again. History to recall anything about the names on the headstones: 18 + Guidance: 4
As Ludolf deftly steps to the side of his unseen push Pardot lets out an audible gasp and his eyes go wide and he looks around. Seeing nothing he follows the others back towards the house and tunnel, constantly on alert.
