Copper pushes the longsword strikes to the side with his shield, and swats away one clawed hand, while his armor deflects the other hand and attempted bite. Knowing the others have his back, Copper faces the lizard creature directly in front of him (#3).
"You're violating section 3 of article 2 of the Immercleave judicial code. Attacking those on official clan business is a punishable offense. I insist you cease at once," Copper says to the lizard folk with a smile on his face. "Those that do not may be met with force."
With that, Copper slashes out with this battleaxe.

Ruby's arrow finds the throat of the lizard creature, causing it to gasp and flail its arms erratically before slumping to the ground. Two fallen comrades do nothing to slow the rush of the reptilian mob. As more and more of them close in, their vile stench becomes unbearable, filling your nostrils and watering your eyes.

Not that it matters with the roll above, but Copper has a +1 modifier for Con Saves. Is the stench like Stinking Cloud? Would the groups' poison resistance kick in to give them advantage on the save? Will assume no, at least for the first round, but more curious on what kind of Con Save it is.
Copper's caught by surprise by the savage stench of the creatures and that almost causes him to drop his guard, but again he's able to push the longsword attacks away with his shield. His armor catches and deflects one of the claw attacks, but it's only the energy of his shield of faith that pushes aside the second claw attack and the bite.
Still having trouble focusing, he swings his axe out at the injured lizard creature (#3).
I did omit the +1 on Copper's CON save. My apologies. He still would've failed the save, however, if I had included it. For this monster, the CON save is required for stench. Failing the save results in the same effect as being poisoned. I did a bit of research on this one, and there's no consensus. Some say dwarven resilience applies to actual poison damage and all poisoned effects (even those not directly induced by poison, such as this creature's foul smell); others say dwarven resilience applies only to saving throws demanded by actual poison. For these creatures, I've opted to go with the latter.
Copper's axe, with a violent crunch, hews the creature's skull in two.

Ruby watches her friends get overwhelmed by the stench of these beasts and gets a bit worried, this is more than she had anticipated when they first heard the footsteps. Hope they aren’t in trouble…. With #5 being surrounded by her team, she uses the distraction to sneak attack him and use both her weapons. She’s glad they are finally in her range so she can do her thing.

Copper continues to blink off the stench of the lizard creatures.
And as he does, he withstands the onslaught of the two creatures facing him. Their swords, claws and teeth bang off of his shield, are turned away by his axe and glance off his dented but still strong armor.
"You're only making this worse for yourselves," Copper says as the fight continues.
As one of the creatures pushes past Copper and Friar to get at the others, Copper reacts instinctively, swiping out with his battle axe.
He then focuses on the creature next to him and turns the axe to make use of his back swing to try and take out another one of the beasts.
Reaction - Opportunity Attack against #6 for moving past Copper - Attack: 22 Damage: 12
Action - Battle Axe against #8 - Attack: 13 Damage: 13 and if this attack hits, Copper uses Divine Smite for an additional 9 radiant damage.
Douth's blade slices through the lizard creature's breastplate. The strike causes the monster to take a step backward, but it remains standing and committed to the fight.
Copper's axe bites deep into the lower back of the monster that attempted to slide past him. Blood begins to flow profusely, indicating the blow was nearly a fatal one. Copper's second swing misses, for he is still a bit disoriented by the stench of these terrible creatures.
