Adam sees what his home town has become and it strikes him hard, right to the core. He is floating in the air, taking it in when he is approached by Echo. He hears Jonathan’s voice and it brings him to, he shakes his head for a moment. He flies back towards everyone and the prepared defenses. As he lands, he says “All gone. What the hell. I couldn’t see anything, but it is all gone.” This has struck him to his core and he is lost for a moment. As Ward and Jonathan talk about the plans, Adam is silently nodding, not really taking it in. Then Shavaris arrives back and he seems to come awake. He receives her words and says “I know. It isn’t the same, I don’t know if it will ever come back. What is this monster you are talking about, I don’t know what a “false hydra” is! Speak plain, what is it doing and why is it doing this? How did it arrive here and destroy my home?” He looks from one face to another for an answer..

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
As the group gathers up again and Shavaris breaks the news to Adam the fairy can see how hard it is hitting them. The fairy wondering if it really is a complete genecide of the people here. The fairy really surprised that all 51 people were foolish not to run or hide from a deadly monster. That not one of 51 managed to cry out in fear or warning. That not one managed to run. He thinks of his own family. Worry still gnawing at their mind. They know they would do anything for answers about them even if it looked clear what happened. Including getting answers from an obvious abomination devoid of nature. In truth, Delph wants to kill it but a fey can learn much from their enemies. "It may not be the answers you want but that thing will answer. It is dumb. It does not understand concepts like time or hierarchy but it knows the common tongue enough to make illusions that speak it. So it cannot confirm how long it has been or if someone commands it. It was undoubtedly sent here for no other reason then to hurt and kill. It is like a spider. It remains in place and lures others in. Meaning, someone put it here in this town or lured it into the town. You are welcome to question it. Yes or no questions. Tentacles up for yes down for no. If it doesn't understand it just sits there. I heavily injured it so if all you want is it's death that can easily be done as well. I think either way it should be ended. It is an affront to nature no matter how reasonable it pretends to be to save it's own hide. However, they are the only source of information we have at this time. I have a lot of skills tracking and hunting. If you think anyone escaped I'll help look for evidence of that. That anyone would of noticed the danger and left. Then where would they go next? You lived here so only you can answer the direction they would flee or hide. Perhaps a cave to hide in for if bandits came? I can tell you, the creature confirmed it ate everyone that entered that church though."
Delphinium then flies over to Adam and hovers in front of them. the fairy makes sure that Adam is looking at them. They place a gentle tiny hand on their nose and say calmly, "We don't know what happened though. We don't know if time was messed with or if we can change it back or undo it. We don't know who commands the land here. We don't know who survived this or when it happened. What we need is answers and there is one place we can get them Adam. One person we know with the magic to look and see if folks we care for are okay. One person we know can scry for survivors, answer what happened here, or direct us to the one responsible for all this. I propose, you ask whatever it is you deem important of the creature. Then we slay it. Then we check any nearby place you think survivors may have fled then make haste once again for the labyrinth."
A thought crosses Dageron's mind, and a shadow crosses his face. "Adam, Travin, Ward.. you three know this Jareth? We have not considered one possibility in all that we have seen. What if this corruption started at the Labyrinth? What if, whatever powers the forces aligned against us have come to wield have given them the ability to rewrite reality for those not protected by proximity to the AURYNs? That seems very possible, considering the age of this forest and the decay of that town. It could be that Jareth and his peoples were so affected, their memories - their very history - rewritten. We may be walking into a far more deadly and dangerous situation than even this forest and this monster. I do not seek to speculate. The level of corruption of this place - so complete and so established - must have a powerful source. So far, the only sufficiently powerful source we know of is the Labyrinth itself. What are you thoughts?"
Ward takes in the information given to him and looks first at Dageron. "If the Labyrinth is infected it is our responsibility to fix that. They are our allies. Adam, if you wish to kill this creature I will assist you in any way. I agree with Delph, ask what you can, then we make sure this creature's infestation is ended here." Ward says

I’m sorry this has happened Adam. Johnathan seems quite sad when saying this to Adam. All his worst fears came true. Has time truly been messed with. What about my home and family? Are they still alive? Can I return to them? Johnathan wonders if this is some messed up trick that someone was playing on them. I won’t lose them after all I have been through. This must be some trick, there is no way time has altered for us. Jareth might know what is going on. Johnathan returns to the conversation for the party. We must kill this monster. These people must be avenged. Adam if anyone knows what happened it would be Jareth. So even if we can’t find your people we could always return to him for answers.
Johnathan turns his attention to Dageron as they ask about the labyrinth and the powers of these lands. Jareth and his people wanted to be left alone. It is possible that they may be the cause of this but I don’t believe they would. They gain nothing from this. I suspect that the lord of darkness has caused this, whether through manipulating others to do his work or directly. They wanted to destroy this land, they wanted everything to suffer. Johnathan pauses for a moment. It was still difficult to talk about this even after all this time. We won’t know what is happening until we get to the labyrinth. We should finish up here and head there before this gets worse.
Dageron speaks softer in reply to Ward and Johnathan, "I mean no disrespect to your friendships and experiences. Consider though, if Delphinium is correct, the alliance you struck never happened. The Jareth you know is not the Jareth we would encounter again. Everything would be different. I only advise a much higher level of caution, and less presumptions that we can even approach the Labyrinth safely. Doing so could lead to our demise."
He looks at Adam. "I realize you must want this thing destroyed, but if it truly is just a creature acting upon its instincts, we may find it useful if we encounter enemies in force. We may be able to use the town as a trap against them, if we leave the creature alone for now. It would be unwise to waste such a potentially powerful tactical asset."
"Daggy, if Jerath is changed we have way bigger problems then you realize. However, talking about Jerath's origins can make your brain go funny. Just take my word that if he's changed I don't think we can save your world. Anyway, let's give Adam a moment to choose what he wants to do. This is his town, and his lands. We should be respectful of that as gracious guests. So, Adam. Whatever you choose I am very likely to support you unless its something I'm not."
Travin tugs at Dageron's sleeve and beckons him to lower himself to Travin's height for a whisper, it appears that the only reason for the whisper is to not talk over Adams grief and no thing else. "Travin was trapped by Jareth in a different dimension for a couple hundred yearses! Yeh yeh! Jareth also kidnaps kids! So was already bads hmm? But after Jareth gots dethroned, Travin found the dawnguard, the Dawnguard puts Jareth back in his throne and in returns, Jareth says no more kidsnapping hmm? Even let Travin's little brother go, yeh yeh! Jareth says Jareth is good now, but Travin knows Jareth is fickle and tricksy hmm? If Jareth is evil, corrupted, worse? Then we kill him hmm?" Throughout the entire explanation Travin makes wild gestures and stabbing motions, completely rendering his tactful use of whispers irrelevant.
Johnathan steps back from the conversation as he seems to get distracted by something. What is that smell? It tastes almost sweet? So….sweet. He gazes to the centre of the village where a well remains. He spots a bucket nearby, so close to the smell. So close. He gives a quick glance to the other party members, almost checking to see if are looking at the well too. As the others continue talking he starts to slip into shade and quietly makes his way to the centre of the village, moving ever so quietly. So …. sweet. I just want a taste. Won’t be more than a moment. Yeah, just a moment. When he arrives at the well he pulls the bucket and looks at what smells so good.
Delphinium is instantly distracted by the light but the fairy is here for their friend to help them with this hard time. So Delphinium manages to stays with them in a stunning display of focus and refusal to get distracted as they provide support to their friend Adam. So impressive in fact, that they only side eye the pink light pouring out of the well on occasion... every minute... ten or eleven times.
Travin does not show such restraint, as light pours out of the bucket it takes his attention and he immediately almost completely forgets about the dangers in the surrounding areas, he begins walking over to Johnathan, unsure of when the human left the group but happy that something exciting is happening.
Johnathan spends a few moments looking at the substance in the bucket. He closes his eyes as he drinks it with a look of pure joy and happiness, a rare look for Johnathan indeed. That’s when everything goes wrong. Almost as soon as he touches the substance he starts to instantly look around like a panicked animal, muttering under his breath. The look of joy he made a moment ago has turned into a sour frown with wide eyes.
He looks at the empty sky above him and starts shooting Eldritch beams to seemingly nothing. F*** this. F*** everything. WE HAVE ALREADY LOST. Johnathan seems to have forgotten the element of stealth and is now completely lost his mind as he continues shooting magic beams in the sky. WHATS THE POINT OF THIS. HUMAN, DHAMPIRE. IT DOESN’T F****** MATTER. I STILL LOSE. I ALWAYS LOSE. NOT EVEN A PACT WITH A FREAKING GOD CAN MAKE ME USEFUL. THE SUN IS GONE, THE MARE IS STILL DEAD AND NOW I HAVE TO GO TO STUPID EVIL GOBLINS TO TRY AND SAVE THIS CRUMBLING PLANET. I EVEN LOST ALL MY FAMILY TO STUPID F****** TREE TIME MAGIC. He pauses as he looks to the trees near the village. He grabs the sides of his head as he sits on the ground and begins to rock back and forth with a rapid pace.
Ward rolls his eyes at Johnathan and goes over to the well, taking some of the substance out, then tasting it and immediately his demeanor changing. Arms dropping and eyes dimming. Sighing deeply as he lies on the group. Struggling to sit up, then sticking his fingers down his throat and pressing his finger into a section of his stomach that clicks backwards, coughing up a bit. He then takes out an old sleeping potion he made in the labyrinth, drinks it and immediately vomits on the ground. Afterwards he drags himself over to the well wall and sits against it. Taking out his lightning in a bottle, presses the cap to his abdomen and opens it. The electricity coursing through him as he spasms a bit. Then, still sitting down says ”****.” He then goes back and forth with Guilty Spark for a moment before turning to Shavaris and motioning her over. “Well bad, amplifies any negative emotions. Cannot function well at moment. Take these, carpet, drawn boulder above Church. Kill thing, me and Johnathan sleep off. Need restoration magic or time.” Ward says, it taking every bit of effort to speak. Before he starts casting druidcraft, making a blanket of moss that covers Ward entirely. Him sliding his Napalm stores out next to him wordlessly in case anyone wants to use them on the thing.
Adam’s face is grim as he hears the findings in the town, the description of what destroyed every person that he knew and grew up with. “For Father Llamas”.. he says to himself. He says to Delph, “I can’t let this thing live, this thing that destroyed my whole village. I’m not going to take any chances, I’m not gonna go rub my ass in its face when it’s dead, I just need to know that it won’t do this to anyone else. Then… well then we will go to the Labyrinth. And look into why all of this has happened. Okay? Will you go with me, little Firefight?” He listens to Dageron and says “I understand your point of view, but not everything is either an asset or a liability. This thing killed everyone I knew, every life that was in that town. I can’t allow it.”
Adam walks over to Ward and Johnathan, trying to make out what the hell just happened. He nods to Ward and says “I’ll give it my best shot.” He paints the napalm onto the large boulder, sitting on the carpet. Then he takes to the air, lifting it high. “Hey Delph, after I drop this thing on that perversion of nature, can you light it on fire? Then we both zoom the hell out of there. Is that a deal?” Adam proceeds with the plan if all are ready. He will plan to stay at maximal orbit away from this thing, dropping the napalm covered boulder onto it and hopefully watching it burst into flames, hoping that it will be consumed in a final funeral pyre for the church, saying “Goodbye, Father” as he drops it. He turns to Delph and says, “It’s the only way to be sure.”

Travin now pinning Johnathan to the floor, just starts yelling "let it out Johnathan! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" his mouth as wide as possible, and he just doesn't stop, it's loud it's annoying and it is likely infuriating for Johnathan.

Travin continues to scream a smile curls slightly in the corners of his wide mouth, and as Johnathan looks Travin in his eyes, the odd tint of rose that colours Travin's round glasses reflect Johnathan's face back at him. (Wis save 13)
