Kerwyn starts to smile again for the first time in a long time, relieved that they are out of the labyrinth. His smile is a haggard smile though, he appears exhausted. Sleep doesn’t seem restorative to him, he rides along, watching the countryside and takes in deep breaths of fresh air. “I thought I would never see this countryside again.” He frequently sighs. Ironsides rides on the journey as well and occasionally Kerwyn goes to check on him.
He gives Delph a wan smile when they come over. He can use the cheering up and good attitude from the energetic fairy. When they start to talk, his mind perseverates over all of the events in the labyrinth, any negative thoughts, and he cries frequently. “I’m sorry about everything back there Fireflight. I just feel so bad right now. I’m exhausted. That place nearly killed me. I know it was right as rain for you, but for me - not so much. I’m glad you have the alicorn and we did what we set out to do, I just don’t know if I can keep going….” he starts to cry again. “I need some help….”
Kerwyn enjoys the company of Travin, curious to see what he thinks about the “outside world.” They talk about a typical human life, but Kerwyn’s thoughts are morose, he keeps going back to “well, then you get older, you get weaker, start to forget things, and then you die.” He tries to steer the conversation back to what Travin may want to talk about, but his thoughts are clearly dark and down.
He says “Whoa!” as he sees Johnathan take off, “That’s great! Now you are a winged hunter!” He looks down at his winged boots and the other gifts that Jerath had given him. He seems too tired and down to even try them out. Whenever Johnathan returns, he says “I need to see someone to help me. I can’t shake this horrible feeling in my head. All I want to do is sleep and I feel no energy. From time to time, I think about killing myself. Can you help me?” He looks at everyone in the party pleadingly.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
“Kerwyn, follow me. I will get you to someone who can help. Nothing at the moment Travin, I have some fairly simple things that I think we have the resources for here. The rest will have to wait till we get somewhere bigger I believe.” Ward says before bring Kerwyn to wherever he will get the best treatment. “This is Kerwyn, his mind has been damaged by our battles, treat him as your own. We will be in town for a few days so once he has healed come and we will pay your fee.” Ward says to whichever healer he finds that would have the best chance of helping him. Then Ward, once Kerwyn is in good hands, will head to the blacksmith. “I need 12 metal pipes, a little large than a dart that could resist the force of a small amount of gunpowder. Do you think you can do something like that?” Ward asks, and after talking with them will go to a spot a little towards the edge of town, right alongside where the trees are and sits down next to a stone shrine a little bit taller than him. Running his hand over the hole from where he exited. “We’ll, it’s only been a short while and I have already seen and changed so much.” Ward says before brewing some tea and sitting there for a while meditating next to the shrine.

Shavaris finds herself in one of the carriages contemplating all that happened in such a short time in the labyrinth. It was good to see the normal sky again, and happy to see Delph back to their cheerful happy self. She worried about Kerwyn and Travin... and about the sick feeling in her stomach. She wasn't feeling right and wasn't exactly sure why.
When Travin asks her to train him to be a bit more stealthy, she looks at him questioningly... at all the affects that adorn his person and she chuckles a bit. But she acquiesces and helps him the best she can. But as he rambles and heads off in different tangents, she continues to worry about him.. this was more than normal and she was glad they were heading to the Hamlet. She then asks Kerwyn to train with her on her off-hand weapon. She wants the training and she also hopes it will lift his spirit a bit. If he isn't interested, she talks one of the Thri-Kreen to assist her.
When Johnathan brings in his kill, she eyes him like a predator herself. When he offers her some of it, she pounces. The fangs grow again, her eyes turn the black of night and she dives into the fox. She hungrily drinks the animals blood, unaware of everything else around her. She will take the hawks as well unless Johnathan stops her. Once she is done, it takes her a bit to regain control of herself, but she feels so much better. "Johnathan, how do you do it? I didn't even realize how bad and weak I was until you brought these. Thank you so much. Please, how do I control this? How do you control this so it doesn't take over and you're so weak you don't even realize it until it is too late?"
Once they arrive, she follows the rest of the group, noting Kerwyn's plea for help. As Ward starts taking him off for some healing, she pulls Ward aside, "Can you take Travin as well? He isn't as obvious, but something is definitely wrong there."
As Kerwyn cries Delph stops what they are doing and sits on their shoulder to give them a hug. "I've heard that humans often don't do well in feywild when they first go. I'm sorry you're first time was bad. I'm not mad at you anymore. I understand now you were under the effects of something. I accept your apology. We can be friends again. As to getting you some help, I bet we can find something in the town." The fairy seems interested in helping. They try to be extra nice to the hurting Kerwyn during the trip even giving them some flowers to wear in their hair.
In the hamlet Delphinium isn't stopped nor given coin to buy things. They shrug and say "I guess I'll figure it out." with that the fairy zooms off like a bolt of lightning... which those with a keen eye might have actually seen small sparks crackle along their blue glow as the fairy speeds off far faster then anyone has seen them go before. In the blink of an eye the fairy is deep in the town chatting with folks and greeting perfect strangers. They would barrage many people with questions "Hello, I'm Fireflight, who are you? Do you live here? Anything cool happening around here? Do you like playing dice? Oh, I'm looking for a way to help a friend feel better, got any ideas? Are their cool places to visit here?" The questions are not all asked of the same person. Although Delph greets everyone they bumb into as Fireflight. If they spot anything interesting or any fey they will go over to say hi.
Johnathan looks at Shavaris as she devours the meal. It was strange watching another Dhampire feed like him. Honestly Shavaris I was much like yourself when I first turned . I did the exact same thing as you did when you first discovered it. I fed off some injured soldiers from the battle. Johnathan pauses as he looks ashamed of this fact. Its my greatest regret, I had no control or idea what I was. It’s why I had to stop you from killing that thing you were feeding on. I knew you would regret it later on.He pauses as he tries to let the information sink in. That’s why I regularly feed of animal blood to stop the cravings and hunting people. It’s not as nice as human blood but will sustain you. I’m still not sure why you haven’t needed to feed before or how the sun affects you yet but I’ll help you as best as I can. We creatures of night need to stick together after all. Johnathan chuckles as he says this, trying to lighten the mood.
Any attempt to heal Travin's headspace will be met with resistance, when Shavaris first mentions it Travin comes running up, and with the lulling cadence of some one out of breath says, "Travin does not need changings, Travin in will be fine yeh yeh, effects from the labyrinth, from Mr Jareths, is a consequence Travin should deal with hmmm? For Travins actionses? Just like Shavaris should maybe find the cause of curses instead of a cure? See Travin thinks the cause is most informatives yeh! Cure things just makes go away hmmm? No growth. Hmmmmmmmmm?" (Persuasion 11, Oof)
If members of the dawn guard persist with this course of action then Travin would scream for Birt and have the firey help him escape, running off amongst the shops and businesses of Mistytomb hamlet.
Do as you want Travin, it is your decision after all. We are just trying to help you is all. Johnathan looks to Kerwyn. Kerwyn I know you have been through a lot but I feel we need to inform the other bands of what happened. We also need to know what we have missed since we entered the labyrinth. Could you use the necklace to do this please if you are up to it? I understand if you want rest up beforehand, just whenever you are ready.
Shavaris listens to Johnathan as he opens up about their shared affliction. "Why did you throw away your flask? How are you going to handle yourself when you don't have access to animals?" She looks at him quizzically as she is trying to understand how to deal with this. When he says they must stick together, she rests her head on his shoulder, appreciating the fact that she has him to lean on as she figures this all out. She then looks down at herself and sees the blood. "Um, can you help me with this?"
As Travin argues with them on going along with Kerwyn, Shavaris interjects, "We never said you need changing. And you have suffered enough, you do not need any more consequences. Just come with us, even if just to support our friend Kerwyn. Please, do this for me?" She then bends down and hooks her arm through Travins and follows wherever Ward is leading.
Seeing no exit and no possible way to retreat, Travin yells to Birt, "Birt help Travin, yeh! they are trying to take Travins awayyyyyyyy!" He flails around like a child having a tantrum before attempting to get as much of his body into his junk shell, legs included, and he becomes well over 300lb of completely dead weight, one of his little arms still dangling loosely out of this mess of junk, and Shavaris hanging onto it for dear life.
You have a point Shavaris. I didn’t even think about the flask, was kinda upset at the time. Don’t worry, when we come across a town I’ll get another one. You probably should have one as well just in case. When Johnathan notices Shavaris resting on his shoulder he gets stiff and uncomfortable. He did not see that coming. He lets it happen and rests for a moment. He sees the blood on her and waves his hand, cleaning it up with a spell.
Johnathan sighs when Shavaris grapples Travin, clearly this was gonna be a problem. Johnathan looks to Shavaris, I guess we are going through this. Ok Travin, I’m sorry it’s come to this but we can’t have you causing a scene. With that Johnathan pulls out a stone and the shadowy flame engulfs his arm. Instead of shooting it like he always does he instead coats the stone and puts it in Shavaris’s pocket. Around Shavaris no sound can be heard, including Travin’s screaming rants. Johnathan gives Shavaris a nod and let’s her continue with Ward to the medic.
Travin continues screaming but realises quickly that his voice cannot be heard, using this as cover he silently pops out of his shell, yanks his arm free of Shavaris' grip and runs like hell, followed closely behind by the lumbering Birt Wrenils. He finds his way to the nearest blacksmith, weaponsmith, or tinkerer shop he can find and heads on in.
As the members of the Dawn Guard watch Travin rush down the street, another figure emerges from a building nearby. He's wearing fur lined boots, two fur gauntlets that are wrapped in gold wire, and a gold-buckled belt that is really just the fastener for a set of fur undies. That's it. That's what he's wearing. Long brown hair drapes below his shoulders, though it'd look a little better if his hairline wasn't receding so rapidly. His musculature could have belonged to Atlas himself, and his skin is bronzed by the Three Brothers and punctuated by scars. A Great Maul hangs over his back, along with a small leather backpack with a few trinkets attached; pots and a small knife, stuff like that. He doesn't look like there's much he uses out there in the world.
There's a stein in either hand, and a barkeep *****ing behind him as he turns up both of the steins and swills the contents. Alcohol runs down his chin, over his chest...there's something ridiculous and awesome about it.
When he's done, he crushes both of the ceramic steins against his receding hairline, leans back, and screams at the heavens above before throwing the stein handles at the barkeep.
People are screaming. A couple of men carry an old lady from a burning building. Her hair is smoking. At least five buildings are on fire. The fire brigade is bringing up buckets from the river but the fire is spreading. Birt Wrenils stands in the devastation with his tongue hanging out and his eyes crossed and sings a short little diddy.
"Biiiirt Wreenils..."
As Ward ropes the area off to bystanders and the town guard arrives, the Dawn Guard realizes in the center of the road there is a pile of bones that are black and smoldering as if caught by an intense heat. A scorched Greataxe lays nearby. The giant man who had just smashed two steins on his head earlier follows the Dawn Guard to the scene of the explosion and looks on in awe.
Birt Wrenils leans close to Shavaris as the band approaches.
"hello dawn guard!" Travin waves a little hand as he waddles up to the group, "travin went shoppings! Yeh yeh!" He expresses with glee, he brings out five wicked looking crossbow bolts and hands them to Johnathan "here, travin took Johnathan's bolts and mades them go bang! Johnathan is welcomes! Hmmm! And for Kerwyn... Travin got a pot! It is magic and makes a friend! Yeh yeh!" He hands over the items and turns to look at the flames, the chaos flickers and dances in the reflection of his goggles as he sighs, "travin has never beens shopping before, hmmm, it is messy. Yehhhhhh That blacksmith killeds Gavin at the pit, because Gavin calleds him a Dickhead"
Johnathan looks in pure disbelief as Travin happily walks to him and hands him his bolts. He watches as the fires begin to spread but Johnathan just has a look of pure rage. Is this a joke to you? We were meant to have a peaceful quite time Travin. And now because of you this place can burn down. Johnathan holds the bolts in his hands and puts them in his backpack, not really paying them much mind. You better tell me what you took from here Travin, I don’t like people going through my things. Not..one..bit In all his time knowing him, Johnathan has never looked more serious to Travin than at this moment. Johnathan just wants to scream at Travin but he knows it won’t help. Johnathan fInds Delphinium and holds out his alchemy jug. He says to the jug, salt water and turns to the Delph. Delphinium, this will produce a lot of water. Can you fly up and spray it down on top of the fire to stop this madness please? Johnathan holds out his jug to them in the hopes that it can undo some of the damage Travin made.
Ward will continue to cordon off the area as he waits for Delph to finish putting out the fires. Moving over to the guards he will talk to them " Bring people away from here, I have an idea on how I might bring this fella back, but I want clearance for it to keep the area clear and people out of the way." If the guards are fine with that then Ward will go over to Birt. "This isn't your fault friend. You just got scared." Ward says, patting him on the back while he waits for Delph to finish. Then, once he has he will grab Johnathan, Delph, and Shavaris. "Well this isn't how I wanted today to go, but we work with what we have. I have an idea to bring that man back, but I need 300GP of diamond, as well as for Delph and Johnathan to use the Orrey and the Alicorn. If this works, then we may yet be able to bring back that man, and possibly even the Unicorn. Shavaris, give Delph the gold and Delph you go get the diamonds, then, well see if we can piss off just about half the gods this side of the mushroom forest." Ward says to the group

Travin's smile only fades slightly as Johnathan scolds him, "Travin was doing a nice thing for Johnathan, but if Johnathan doesn't appreciates Travin's help then travin can stop..." He takes out a leather working tool kit and a couple of daggers, dropping them by Johnathan's feet, he also takes out the flask of blood that he gave Johnathan in the labyrinth but holds onto it undecided as to whether to give this over. His attention is quickly drawn over to ward who is speaking and preparing to revive the man. And Travin's remaining glee vanishes completely, "NO! NO NO NO! WARD Stop! Ol'Raskin murdered another, hmmm? He killeds Gavin Stonesworn in cold bloods, yeh! just to make a point, yeh! If Wards has to revives somebody, then there is some body more deservings laying in a pool of bloods with an axe wounds through his head at the stonesworn's pit. Yeh! By the bridge hmmm! Just not heres! Not him Ward!"
Johnathan was busy trying to help save the village when Travin drops the rest of his items. He gives a quick look over until his sees his tools. He immediately grabs the items, checking for damage or modifications. He begins to shake and tears starts pouring out the corner of his eyes. Johnathan didn’t even realise that the tools were gone. He hasn’t looked at them for a while, it was too painful a reminded of what he gave up. He speaks to Travin but his voice is crackling and in pain. You shouldn’t have taken this Travin. These might be just tools to you but this is the only thing I have left from my family. I wasn’t always a soldier, I use to use these tools with my family. This is an heirloom, the last thing connecting me to my past. He looks to Travin, wiping his eyes to try and stop the tears. Why did you do this? This is what I get for trying to help you? The one time I show kindness and this is how I’m thanked? Johnathan throws the bolts Travin gave on the floor. Here, I don’t want them. He also doesn’t get the flask from Travin.
Johnathan just looks at the tools in his hands. He remembers how him and his father used them to make saddles and armour in his village while his mother would run the shop selling the goods. They were simpler times, and he regrets leaving it behind for this madness.
Johnathan puts the tools back in his pack and the daggers on the side. Johnathan turns his attention from Travin and looks to Ward. He is somewhat concerned over using the alicorn and the orrery together. He takes a moment to compose himself before speaking to Ward. I know some of the basics of the Orrery, and I can tell you that currently I don’t know if I can actually turn back time. At best I can speed myself up for a bit or see possible futures. What do you want to do with this anyway?
Travin takes the bolts, he gives a concerned look to Johnathan at his upset over the tools but doesn't pry further, he says "Travin will stop, yeh! Promises it" then mutters "Johnathan will be thanked, hmmm more in common than Johnathan knows." As he turns away. With the bolts safely tucked away for another day, travin re-ups his concern for wards activities, setting off for the stonesworn's pit to take a look at the other body.
As Shavaris stares at the half naked man sloshing down the alcohol, she realizes that most of her party has scattered to the winds. She shrugs thinking that as long as Kerwyn gets the help he needs, they shouldn't need to spend much time here, though she wishes she could have helped Travin as well.
Just as she is about to try and find a place to get a flask and take Johnathan with her, she hears an explosion and people screaming. She starts running in that direction and then sees the carnage. Stunned, unsure what exactly happened but sure her band is responsible, Travin's firey tries to explain the situation to her, lol. She looks up at him in confusion. But then Travin comes from around the corner, more excited than he should be with the situation at hand.
"I'm sorry, what? Um, killing doesn't typically happen when you shop. Travin, what did you do?" She cringes a bit as she realizes that Travin stole from Johnathan and watches the fallout, noting to herself to be a bit more cautious around the junkman. As Johnathan collects his leather working tool kit, she isn't sure what to say when he talks about his family. Just as she is about to talk to him about it, Ward starts going on about time travel and the alicorn and orrery and she holds up both of her hands. "Stop Ward. What are you talking about? We do not know enough about these items to start messing around with them and most likely making situations worse."
Shavaris picks up the flask that Travin had given Johnathan but was left on the ground. She looks it over a bit, then puts it in her pack.
As the rest start heading with Travin towards the other body, she heads over to the fur lined man, "Excuse me? Do you have a moment? I'm hoping you can help me with something."

"Steeeeepheeeen!"

The scene is confusing.
"Birt Wrenils..." He says in explanation.
