Cyrnair is currently completely surrounded, but even with 8 creatures around him, his shield and Sword work is so on point, he is able to not take any blows of damage what-so ever.
OOC: Thank you Carodoc, I missed that.
Ky resists the cold damage but it is enough to break her concentration on Hunters Mark.
Looking up towards where Ennis and Flint have taken refuge, Gelin winks and taps himself on the shoulder, suddenly disappearing from view. (Casting Invisibility on himself)
He pulls hard on the rope (Deception, if needed 7), hoping to throw his pursuers off his trail, before making his way around the ice towards the stairs. (Stealth assuming advantage with invisibility, if needed 20)
OOC: Screw it, we're going to have some fun. Feel free to use or not use any of the rolls as you see fit, just trying to expedite things

Having watched Gelin through the window of the ED space, Ennis groans ever so slightly when he sees him wink and turn invisible. After the rope moves briefly he gives it a brief tug to confirm that, as he expected, the rope gives no resistance. Saying a silent prayer to Oghma that he will mask the knowledge of the dwarf's whereabouts at least for the moment, he begins to haul the rope up, though he makes sure to do so slowly in the hopes of making the observes think it's being hauled up with the dwarf still dangling from it.
Bonus Action: Draw up the rope so it disappears into the ED space.
Once the rope is secured and the enemies below have no means of climbing up into the space, Ennis adjusts his glasses again with a quick glance at Flint.
"Alright, now to start picking people off."
Stretching out on the floor of the space next to the window, Ennis then leans out so just his arms and upper torso reappear in real space and proceeds to cast Ray of Frost at the nearest shimmering humanoid, suspecting the spell will have only a limited effect were he to target any of the white-scaled dragonborn.
Action: Cast Ray of FrostRanged Spell Attack:11Damage:13 Cold Damage (Note: Target's speed is also reduced by 10ft for the next round if hit.)
Ennis will then pull himself fully back up into the ED space. (If allowed.)

Cyrnair endures the numerous blows of the enemies that surrounds him. Too many for him to stop those who manage to pass him, but he has no time for that now,at least he has stopped a great number of them. He cannot see anymore if anyone comes closer to the rope, but he has enough problems right now.
Blocking another sword with his shiled, then another, he stay firm with his feet and push out with his shield, with a roar and a powerful flap of his wings, he momentary dazes the enemies around him and he takes that opportunity to attack the dragonborn that went for him.
“You should have yield... a poor choice... now face the consequences of it!”
Attack: 24 Damage: 14
On a hit he will expend a second level slot, the sacred flames on his weapons growing brighter as he impacts the dragonborn.

Edit I forgot that I am cool now and have two attacks
Ennis reaches his hand through the portal, leaning out to fire his frost cantrip (we will go with the +2 AC to fire ruling for this fight and see how it works out. If you choose not to attack at all in your round, you cannot be hit by an attack, as you are not leaning out to fire.) However, not being used to this tactic, his ice blast goes wide.
Cyrnair's blade finds the Dragonborn in front of him, already injured by a previous attack. The blade, glowing with divine fury, and cuts through the armor of the Dragonborn and into its heart.
Cyrnair turns quickly, and just barely manages to jam his sword into the creature standing next to him. (OOC: typically i want you to wait your turn or PM me your action if you will be gone, but it does not matter in this turn.)
Baryearas climbs up one of the Drakes, and whips it around and kicks it into motion. It uses its movement to run double dash into the forest to the north. "Kill them all!" he yells, as he rides off into the woods to the North. "I will report this to my lady."
The 1 Drake left charges into the room, now easily able to get in without the choke of frozen people. Looking around, it sees Cyrnair, Ky, and Carodoc. Seeing Cyrnair as the biggest target, it will bite and tail swipe at Cyrnair.
Tail: Attack: 22 Damage: 4
Bite: Attack: 22 Damage: 5
The 2 remaining Drakes finally claw through the door to the south, and they enter into the fray on their next turn.
Flint is up, and then it back to the top of the order.

Flints words drift to Ky and bring her back a bit more heath. Firing off his cantrip, the bell rolls against a shimmering creature that Cynrair slashed in his second attack. 9
The shimmering figure screams in pain and collapses to the ground, blood pooling from his ears dead.
Ky shouts out thanks to Flint for the healing and keeping her in the fight. Firing 2 arrows at one of the shimmering folk, she then moves up the stairs so she is upstairs and at least 40 feet away from the enemies.
Caradoc darts forward, arrow hand darting for a small pouch on his belt that he has never used before. Eilistraee, I know I'm new to this prayer thing, but if you've got a bit of luck to toss my way... He whispers as he unties the simple knot with his teeth and tosses a bag of Ball Bearings at their feet. 1000 tiny metal balls clatter down on the stairs under the feet of the shimmerfolk.
The rogue slips back towards Ky, but his little legs leave him at least 20 feet behind her. He cries out to Cyrnair, "Fall back before you bleed to death!" as he drops his bow and draws his swift and deadly magical blades.

Before Ky fires her arrows and Carodoc lets loose his ball bearings, you hear a familiar Voice rumble through the room. The same voice you heard earlier in the tunnels. "You dare corrupt the home of Lord Thundertree and his legacy. Your god has fallen. I wish to Spectate the end of this foolish band that haunts my masters keep."
The Dragonborn and shimmering humanoids seem to be unpreturbed by the noise, in a fury over their lost dragon lord.
The 2 Dragonborn in the middle of the ice use their movement to run under the portal. They both take a small javelin and hurl it at Flint and Ennis. (You have partial cover, so +2 to ac)
Flint attack: Attack: 7 Damage: 6
Ennis attack: Attack: 22 Damage: 4
The 6 shimmering creatures on the ice move to the portal, and fire their shortbows against Flint and Ennis.
Ennis takes a glancing blow from the Javelin, and a nick from the arrow, dealing 11 points of damage. Flint takes 7 points of damage from an arrow that is fired up against him.
The of the 8 shimmering creatures that surround Cyrnair, 4 chase after Carodoc to attack him, while 4 remain to attack Cyrnair. The Drakes continue to attack Cyrnair as well.
The 4 that chase after Carodoc, they have to make Dex saves, dc 10 not to fall. Also Cyrnair gets an AoO.

Cyrnair AoO: Attack: 28 Damage: 9 (If you want to add a Divine Smite into it, let me know and roll it in the OOC)
Cyrnair, in the thick of things with 4 shimmering figures and 2 Drakes is able to ward off much of the damage. Cyrnair takes 3 scimitar slashes for 21 damage.
Carodoc gets surrounded as well, and takes 16 points of damage from Scimitar Slashes.
Ennis also takes an additional 5 damage from another Javelin.
After hearing the spectator call out from below and seeing the desperate situation the party finds itself in, Gelin sprints towards the grate which they climbed through while fighting against his instinct to begin singing in the face of overwhelming odds.
Arriving at the grate, he holds it open, hoping for a miracle.

Gelin is now up.
Caradoc will use Uncanny Dodge to halve the first attack that hit, so I'm marking off 10 slashing damage, leaving him at 50/54 HP with no temps left.

When attacks come at him into the space of the Rope Trick, Ennis instinctively reacts by casting Shield. This bumps his AC up to 20 until the start of his next turn, which means only the first attack even hits him. Furthermore, the damage from that attack is completely mitigated by a secondary shimmering ward that appears behind the Shield effect.
("Arcane Ward" Class Feature: Once per long rest, when you cast an abjuration spell of 1st level or higher, you can create a magical ward on yourself that lasts until you finish a long rest. The ward has +14 max HP, and takes damage instead of you until it reaches 0 HP. Whenever you cast an abjuration spell of 1st level or higher, the ward regains HP equal to twice the level of the spell.)

ooc: Nicely done Ennis!
As Cyrnair wards off many of the attacks, the effects of the 2 blasts from the Dragon, and the other attacks are starting to really show on his battered form.
As Gelin whips up the grate, he sees 4 rubbery figures emerge from the grate. They all seem to form a defensive wall around the entrance, and an aberration in the form of a round meatball like body with multiple stalks comes floating out from it.
"I wish to witness the end of this infection on the land of my master. It... pleases me to help you..." It pauses and only Gelin can hear a slight chattering "No... no.. shut up. I can do as I will. It is the masters wish!"
With that 2 beams go streaking out from its eyes. 2 from the Stalks to target the 2 Drakes attacking Cyrnair.

Question for DM: Would you consider it an Action or Bonus Action to pull up the rope?
As Gelin goes invisible the dragonborn and shimmering skinned individuals look around in a panic, seeing the rope be pulled they zero in on that.
The dragonborn look hesitantly for a moment before seeming to be convinced the dwarf went up the rope. The shimmering individuals follow suite.
