As the party deal with the body and scour the camp for useful items a heavy dripping sound can be heard behind them.

They turn to see the ochre jelly drop from the cavern cieling.

 Blink fires a shot into the centre of the jelly.

It quivers violently for a moment and then dissipates.

 Vishka tends to Karas wounds.

 "Listen."

The group feel and hear a soft thud. The rhythmic thunder of distant pounding waves echoes throughout the mine, loud enough to make the stone underfoot shiver.

"Wave Echo Cave is nowhere near the ocean, but a water-filled cavern deep in the mine is connected to an underground hot spring. That spring boils over continuously to produce a surge that slams into a narrow funnel, making a sound like breaking surf."

 "We need to keep moving."

Kara breaks the silence and leads the group over to where a rope has been lowered into the pit on the east side of the cavern. One by one they begin to climb down.

 "Which way do we go?"

 "I suspect we follow the sound to the heart of this place?"

 They wait for the sound of the next crashing wave.

 They reach a junction where a corridor heads off to the north.

They continue straight on until the tunnel opens up. Many tunnels intersect at this natural, thirty-foot-high cavern. The walls are carved with simple reliefs showing dwarf and gnome miners hard at work. Below them, nearly two dozen skeletons in rusted scraps of armor are scattered across the cavern floor. Some are dwarf skeletons, while others are orc remains. Half a dozen large brass lanterns stand in niches or on ledges around the cavern, but none are lit.

They look up just in time to see a swarm of Stirges descending upon them.
