"And what are we looking for exactly?"

 "The forge or the Spider... or both."

 "And my brother if he still lives!"

 "Do not lose hope uncle."

The party edge around to the northern side of the cavern until they find a tunnel leading off toward the west. Eventually they reach a passageway that is barely four feet high and is obstructed by rounded boulders and pebbles. It might have been a streambed, though no water flows here now.

As they enter the low cavern Vishka hears sounds ahead. "Wait!" she whispers to the others. 

 "What is it?"

 "Voices and something moving down near the stream bed."

 "We need to get down there. Melandra and Vishka stay here and watch our backs."

They secure a rope and climb down. Blink, Kara and then Griell.

Blink and Kara make it down unseen, but as Griell descends she kicks loose some rock and in the darkness they here...

"What? Who's there? Someones climbing down there!"

Round 1 : 18 vs 18

 Two bugbears come charging out of the darkness toward Griell.

They throw javelins :

Attack: 14 Damage: 3

Attack: 16 Damage: 6

They companion, a drow remains on the opposite ledge urging them on.

 Attack: 11 Damage: 13

 Charges forward out of the darkness.

Attack: 20 Damage: 6

 Griell drops to the ground and attacks.

Attack: 17 Damage: 9

 Melandra sends a fire bolt after the drow.

Attack: 13 Damage: 9

 Vishka clambers down and joins the fray.

Attack: 10 Damage: 5

Round 2 16 vs 19

 Blink switches targets to the Drow.

 Attack: 8 Damage: 6

 Attack: 16 Damage: 10

 Fire bolt Attack: 16 Damage: 9

 Attack: 15 Damage: 11

The Drow continues to watch from above, being careful now to dodge incoming attacks.

 The bugbears attack Kara and Vishka

Kara Attack: 21 Damage: 14

Vishka Attack: 19 Damage: 11

 Seeing them doing damage Blink switches back to the bugbears
