Trem succeeds on unlocking the door. Inside you will see Tulgi sitting next to the table. Writing a letter on a piece of paper. She is shivering but makes no move to make a bigger fire or to grab a blanket.
Roxaria looks at everyone waiting at the table. “Let me try to wake Eline up. Maybe this cold weather got to her. I know she doesn’t like the cold. She was bundled up good yesterday. We can have Arl tell her we’ve gone to Pelc’s Curiousities. She can meet us up there. I’m sure we’ll come back here after visiting the merchant.”
Roxaria heads up to the shared room. Eline is still snug in her bed. “Hey Eline? I know the cold does not agree with you. We’re going to head over to Pelc’s Curiousities. Trem already left for there.”
If Eline doesn’t stir, Roxaria will quietly grab her armor and pack, close the door, head downstairs and tell Arl to pass a message to Eline when she does wake that they went to Pelc Curiousities. She heads to the table, “I think we should go. Eline will catch up and Trem is already there waiting for us.”. She heads to the weapon rack and pulls her longbow and quiver. She buckles her belt that has her longsword attached to it and slings her shield up and over her back. She adjusts her leather armor to get everything to sit correctly.
”Let’s catch up to Trem and see what he’s discovered at Pelc’s.”
If Tulgi doesn't reply Trem will slowely back away and close the door behind him, leaving Tulgi to her own devices.
He'll then jog to Pelc's Curiousities, hopefully timing it in such a way that he arrives just before the others do. But waiting for them before he enters.
Eline SLOOOOWLY rises from her slumber, and we're talking slowly. Why so slowly? Because it's damned cold outside, and she does NOT entertain the idea of going back out there. Regardless, there is an annoying sliver of sunlight peaking through the window curtains, directly in her eyes. With that, she shakes her bleary head and rises, stretching her arms and legs, and standing up. Gods, why's it have to be so cold here? She dresses quickly and heads out reluctantly with Roxaria to the cold.
Eline reminds herself that she's been wanting to see Trem and talk with him, maybe pass that journal between them?
Vauthok snorted at Roxaria’s concern over his leg and playfully shoo’d her away. “I have a talent for pissing off the dwarves. Can’t really remember what I did this time..” It was the truth. That part of his drunken adventure was a bit on the blurry side. The giant quickly polished off the rest of his breakfast when it became obvious that everyone was pretty much ready to head to their next destination and stood from his chair to stretch mightily.
Several long strides brought Vauthok to the weapons rack where he strapped his great sword across his back and hoisted the silver maul over his shoulder. “Here’s to hoping we run into some actual bad guys today..” He exclaimed with hope as he walked back over to Reginald and Kha. “And I guess we need to drop this beauty off with Elro..” The giant said dejectedly before setting the maul on the ground in front of him.
“Ya think Roxaria would be mad if we got a horn of mead for the road?”
Roxaria stands at the door, glad to see Eline coming downstairs and turning to Vauthok as he picks up the silver maul. “I think it is okay to bring it along for now, if you want. There might be other items from Pelc’s that we can turn in all at once for evidence. I honestly don’t know Elro’s disposition regarding all these items we are finding. But I’d rather do the right thing than be accused of withholding evidence during this investigation.”
She winces at his “drinks on the road” comment. “So long as it does not cloud your judgement. I cannot drink, as I am officially on duty right now. You’ll have to find another drinking buddy until later this afternoon.” Roxaria looks up at Vauthok’s face and pokes his brawny chest with a slender finger, “Just don’t get too wasted. It’s no fun trying to catch up.”
With that, she ties her dark blue hair up into a bun, keeping it within regulations and twirls around and steps out the door leading the group to Pelc’s Curiosity and meet up with Trem.
Tulgi raises her left arm wincing with pain. Her left hand is frozen encrusted with ice. Tulgi takes the journal and looks up at Trem "Its too late for me. If you see my sister, can you give her this letter." She hands Trem a tear stained letter.
Vauthok shook his head with mirth and hoisted the maul back over his shoulder, “Don’t worry, I will save the party for tonight.” He called to Roxaria as she twirled out the door and then went to the bar, ordering and drinking a mug of mead in the blink of a eye. He quickly deposited the empty horn back and headed for the door. “You guys want to put a little gold on if I can make a beastie’s head explode in one strike with this bad boy?” The barbarian asked while pulling his hood up and stepping outside to follow the rest of the group to Pelc’s.
The group arrives shortly after Trem. Everyone will see a dark cabin with a sign over its door which reads, “Pelc’s Curiosities,” with the image of a curving dragon used to make the letter P. Though the shop appears closed, the front door is slightly ajar.
Everyone will hear the sounds of whispered voices and foot steps coming from inside the cabin.
((OOC- I misread. I thought Trem was inside. It appears he is outside waiting for us. I deleted my previous post)).
As Roxaria and the party arrive at Pelc’s Curiousities, she sees Trem and immediately walks up to him. “Trem, I’m sorry. I was dismissive with your advice earlier. You’re right. Before going to Croaking Cave, we can see Elro and ask him for aid. I have never been to those caves before and I don’t know how to get there, let alone what we might encounter on our way there.”
She puts a hand on Trem’s shoulder and looks him in the eyes, “Seriously, Trem. I apologize. Ever since I asked you to be honest with us, I think you have. I need to trust you and I will. It was a good idea to visit Elro. I won’t be so quick to dismiss your advice in the future.”
When Trem puts up the “shush” sign, she quiets down and looks to the door that is slightly ajar.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
We'll talk later. I don't know what's happening in there, better be prepared for the worst! Vauthok, that silver maul looks good on you. Keep it ready! (whisper)
In a dramatic way Trem stretches his arms and suddenly each hand has a dagger in it ( assassins creed style). He then tries to look between te gap of the door.
Kha rises and pulls up the hood of his leather cloak to following after Vauthok. "I do like to make a wager every now-and-then, but I think I'd be a fool to wager against you." The orc braces before stepping out of the tavern to prepare for the frigid morning air. Just grit your teeth, you'll get used to this cold sooner or later.
As the group makes the quick journey to the store, Kha finds it curious that Trem appears to have just been standing out in the cold this entire time. "What are ya-..." He gives the elf a nod as he holds a finger to his mouth. "Wonder what they're looking for?"he asks with a whisper, hearing the rustling coming from within. "Should some of us come in the back door?" he adds as he pulls his hammer and shield off his back.
Pelc’s Curiosities is a one-story, two-room log cabin. The windows are shuttered and locked from inside, leaving the interior dark. The only entrance is the front door.
Eline tightens her hold on her overcoat, desperately trying to keep up with the rest of the group. Upon seeing Trem there, along with Roxaria, the orc, and the goliath, she moves in close, making her way up near Trem. Seeing his "shushing" gesture, she remains quiet, but alert. Black mist forms at her fingertips, signifying the readying of a spell.
A gut-sickening thrill washes over Roxaria. She understands this as a new Glass Blade. Sergeant Quilo told her this back in Uthadorn. It is the anticipation that precedes one’s baptism under fire…the initiation of their first combat.
She draws her longsword and shield preparing for close quarters fighting.
Trem will knock again, louder this time. He then checks whether the door is locked.
If it is locked, Trem will try to pick the lock.

I'm sorry... thought you know... that you passed away. Anyway, here's your journal. I'm sorry for taking it.
Trem places the journal on the nearest suitable flat surface. Awkwardly standing there he askes:
Tulgi? Want me to stoke the fire a bit?

Of course! Yes, Il will! Thank you... for your trust... and your help... Because of you we might find the cause of this sickness, maybe even a cure!
Trem replies with a sad smile. He puts the letter away, in a save place between his clothes on his body. And in Thieves' Cant he adds:
Honor among Thieves!
Tears well up in his eyes when he leaves the cabin. I'm not crying! It's that damned cold!
