As the group rests up, Roxaria tends to the injured where she can, primarily trying to make them comfortable. She eventually makes her way to Kha.
”You fought well, Kha. Everyone did, really. I was curious about your God, Kord. He obviously protected you well enough. You came through nary a scratch. What kind of God is Kord? He sounds friendly enough.”
Trem has picked up the bow he dropped and takes a short rest.
Are you ok, Eline?
Eline looks to Trem, and again, feeling utterly useless, says, "yeah, I'm fine, but you're not! Jeesh, those wounds look really bad! Kha," Eline calls out to the orc, "do you think you could work some healing on this foolish elf?" Despite her teasing, Eline has a look of deep concern in her green eyes for the rogue.
She plants a brief kiss upon Trem's forehead, before attempting to tend to his wounds.
12 medicine check to begin attempting to bandage Trem's wounds by treating off strips of her cloak, and applying pressure to the wounds.
Kha returns to the campsite with the bucket and places it next to Roxaria. "Not sure how fresh it is, but maybe you can cook something with it. Looks like they were fishing over there." He jerks a meaty thumb behind him.
”You fought well, Kha. Everyone did, really. I was curious about your God, Kord. He obviously protected you well enough. You came through nary a scratch. What kind of God is Kord? He sounds friendly enough.”
"That we did! Kord favors the brave, so it's good we don't have any that would shy away from a fight... And I'd think my own strength had something to do with it ." Kha flashes a grin. "He just asks that I use my strength to protect those who may not be able."
The half-orc turns at Eline's call. "You going to be okay," he asks Trem to confirm his condition.
Roxaria’s eyes widen as Kha hands her the pail of fish. “I’m going to use that campfire in the next room over to cook these. I’ll be right back.”
She heads to the other room where the campfire is and pulls out her skillet from the pack and some of the hard tack. She descales and debones the fish and cuts it up into thin fillets. Then, as the skillet is heated, she lays the fillets down and they begin to sizzle. She watches as the pink flesh sears into a delicious white. Roxaria breaks the hard tack into small, crumbly pieces and sprinkles them over the fish. It creates a panko-like baked covering to add some taste. Lastly, she shakes some salt and pepper to season, flipping the fish over about 3-5 minutes a side. The smell of freshly-cooked fish fills the cavern room. She brings the skillet back to hand out fish to whomever will have it.
”Eat up, friends. Hopefully this will help and then we can be on our way again.”. She takes a fillet for herself and blows on it heavily to cool it down. Roxaria does one of those eat a hot bite and blowing out as the hot fish sits on her tongue. “Vewy hawt” she giggles as she realizes she probably looks silly right now.
Reginald enjoys his fish, offers a bit to his new familiar. He comments "What type of gear did the ruffians have? Were they set up for a REALLY long stay or did they look to be setup on bivouac?" He also adds, "Perhaps we should do a check for anything magical, etcetera." Then proceeds to start his chant (Will do a detect magic ritual).
“It does look like they were situated here for a while. Bedrolls laid out and there was even a trap pitfall set up under one of the bedrolls. Lots of food waste and scraps littering that room over there. There were two paths that went on also. I debated whether to scout them out, but I think best not to go too far without support.”
Roxaria cleans up her skillet in the pool of water and places it back into her pack.
Eline relents for the moment her tending to Trem, or at least trying to, to the much more capable hands of Kha. She fusses over Trem a moment more, taking one of his hands in hers. "It's going to be alright. Kha here will heal you up." She gives his hand a reassuring squeeze.
"I'm sending Jonax'us to check the other path we didn't go, real quick, to make sure nothing is sneaking up on us.", Reginald then sits down and closes his eyes as the owl flies off.
The small path leads to a cavern. The floor is slick with droppings and the ceiling is covered with thousands of sleeping bats. Further on there is another pathway on the far side of the cavern. It leads back to the campfire area.
Vauthok slowly rises from where he had fallen and moves over to the area where everyone was busy putting together the camp. Nothing deterred this group from its goal. That was something the giant had noted early on and the fact seemed ring true more and more the further they went on this quest of theirs. That was something to respect. “******* legendary..” He mutters once he lost himself in daydreams of all the monstrous beats and amazing loot they would find in their adventures together. Vauthok grunts appreciatively and takes the fillet from Roxaria, devouring it in what could only be described as a starved frenzy. Lowering himself into a seated position was a bit more challenging but the big man fought through the pain and only like a slight wince slip from within.
“I would imagine there’s more resistance up ahead, unless they find us while we rest..” Vauthok states bluntly while watching Reginald’s owl fly off into the distance to scout. “Two guards keeping watch at a time would be safer from now on… Cave creatures are…. Slippery.”
Reginald reports his findings to the others. Then informs the group, "I took the risk of sending Jonax'us behind us to scout. If I had been thinking more clearly, I would have made him a bat in order to send him forward to scout without alerting anyone. An owl in a cave would be suspicious. We can still use him, though, since he can see and hear twice as well as I can in the dark. (OOC : Advantage on hearing and sight checks, 120' dark vision) Should give us early warning, hopefully."

No, no, I'm ok. I just need a rest. Thanks for looking after me Eline!
Eline smiles back and leaves Trem in the capable hands of Kha, and makes her way over to Roxaria and Reginald. "Anything I can be of assistance with, for either of you?"
“Hey, Eline. You really bring a nice punch with all your magic. Honestly, I’ve been racking my brain over everything up to this point. The relics that Urgon acquired. Stolen by Tulgi and sold to Pelc and then a raid by Hulil looking for something, presumably that darned dagger. That list Trem found of all the relics Urgon had and sold. The blacksmith who says that dagger has an equal.
How does it all fit together? On top of that…Why have we not yet experienced this sickness if we’ve been in contact with one of the relics and the individuals who’ve died from it.”
Roxaria pauses, reflecting. “Am I crazy to be overthinking this whole thing?”

Reginald does not detect anything magical besides the dagger used by Trem

(Please roll perception for Jonax'us)
Perception (advantage) using Jonax'us perception score (+1) : 6/11

(OOC : Mistake made - +3 not +1 to perception rolls, so the rolls should have been 4 & 14)
