Ok, let's go. I'm starving for some fried baby Remorhaz!
“C’mon, Trem. Kha was protecting us all. Had that baby Remorhaz died that momma Remorhaz would have bore down on us and wiped us out. As it was, Kha’s selfless act saves our hides. Will we have to face that creature in the future? I suppose there is a chance. Can we all just have a drink and appreciate that we are all alive right now?”
Roxaria exhales long and slow. She holds up two fingers to Arl and requests two drinks. She slides one to Trem and takes the other. “Funny, I was hoping by opening up I could help ease the tension. You know, redirect focus…” she pauses and mutters, “failed miserably.”
She rocks the glass back and swallows the liqour. Roxaria looks at Trem, “Is there something else bothering you, Trem?”
Reginald huffs and says "Probably not the best idea at the moment, going to talk to a priest of a tempest god immediately after having a fight. I'll go have a with talk Kha and then take him to see Elro. It'll give him a chance to air out his grievances."
Kha pulls up his leather hood and begins to march toward the main gates of the town, grumbling under his breath and the sound of blood rushing through his ears. He makes it halfway to the gates before he finally notices a tug at his sleeve. He looks down to find Eline at his side and stops his strides, but his eyes keep to the town's exit. After a moment he tilts his head to the sky, quietly petitioning his god for patients - something that neither the orc or Kord is known for.
"You know, I feel sorry for the elf. I'm sure it's tough for him now that he's got the sickness... But by Storm Lord's short and curlies he's just making it so damned hard." Kha finally brings he eyes to meet Eline's. "Ya know?"
Hurried footsteps from behind draw Kha's attention and he turns to find the gnome coming up behind them.
Roxaria remains in the Jolly Dwarf, Those two need to work it out. Stop trying to interfere, Rox.
She sits at the bar and casually waves Arl over. ”Arl, do you know if there are any other persons lodging here? More specifically a merchant named Irven Liel?”
Eline's heart skips a beat, and her mind freezes for a moment. She can't--doesn't want to--believe what she just heard. She can't quite find the words to express what she's feeling.
"W-what??"
Her heart begins to pound in her chest, a rapid staccato rhythm.
"Yeah, Huili put some of the powder on that chest and Trem got it on him when trying to open it."Kha places a hand on her shoulder and give it a pat. "Oh, I'm sorry I thought you knew."
Reginald is probably right. Trem nods him a thank you and takes a little walk. Somehow he ends up near Tulgi's house. He just stands there for a while.
Reginald catches up with Kha and Eline, walking behind them. He pauses a moment struggling with a decision, then adds "Trem is thinking about going to talk with Huili... I think he might be headed to Tulgi's place right now. I considered letting him go without telling anyone." He looks at Eline, "It might be best if you went after him to make sure he doesn't do anything he might regret."
He looks at Kha, "We, on the other hand, should go and give Elro an update on what has happened so far. I'm willing to lend an ear to help you get things off your chest while we head that way."
Eline nods, taking a running start to catch up to Trem. She makes her way to Tulgi's house, and seeing Trem, can't help the welling up of anger. Her eyes feel like they want to squeeze every last drop out of her. Trying her best to compose herself, Eline approaches Trem.
Kha looks down the road to the gate then down at Reginald, and again toward the gate. Gotta keep my word. I told him I'd help him get his cure... Even if he being a jackass right now.
"Sure. Let's go, Reggie." He resigns and waves a hand to allow the gnome to lead the way. "I appreciate the offer, but I think I made my thinking on the matter is pretty clear. Just tell me one thing, Reggie... Do you think I'm out of line here?"
(Kha will catch him up on everything if Reginald wasn't around during any of the conversations.)
The Gnome looks up at the Orc and says "Honest answer? I don't know. As a gnome I have this thing about letting things that can eat me get away alive. As a scholar I understand EXACTLY what you did it and why. In this case it was probably the best move for us. We need to let Elro know about the rhemorhaz being nearby, the village probably has a protocol for dealing with such things..."
Reginald rambles on "As for Trem, I think it be best if you both take some time to get to know each other after you both settle down. At the very least, get to know what bugs you both so you know what not to do to avoid conflict. We all come from cultures that are at the same time similar and yet down right alien to each other."
He chuckles to himself "If you were gnomes I'd suggest you two hide your weapons and both get rip roaring drunk together..." the gnome says with a smile.
Eline nods, taking a running start to catch up to Trem. She makes her way to Tulgi's house, and seeing Trem, can't help the welling up of anger. Her eyes feel like they want to squeeze every last drop out of her. Trying her best to compose herself, Eline approaches Trem.
"What the hell, Trem! Why didn't you tell me!"
I... I... didn't want you to worry... I wanted to find a cure before you found out. You know, so you didn't have to worry about saving me...
What do you think is going on in there? I was planning on taking out Hulil today. I tried to hint at Rox, but she didn't get it. And I sense Kha is no longer an option. Any idea's?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Eline sighs in exasperation, but also some relief. "Let's listen for a second. I want to get a feel for what is going on in there," Eline half whispers to Trem.
21 Perception to put her ear to the door, and listen.
"If you're planning on taking her out, we need to find out a couple of things first." Eline activates her Ice Knife spell, readying it for the inevitable. "I don't agree with this, Trem," she says in a sobering tone, "but I'm no cleric of Kord, either."
"As for Kha," she says quietly, "you two need to find a way to get along, or at least reconcile your differences in morality. A couple drinks ought to soften the gap between you two."
"Besides," she says, an ominous note to her voice, "this division we're having is what HE would want."
Kha chuckles. "Well, I think that works with many kinds of folks. Maybe you're right. Now that we aren't being chased by a mad momma remorhaz, maybe we can try again."
He continues the rest of the way to the town hall quietly dreading revisiting the conversation with Trem.
After a few moments of listening, Eline asks, "why WOULDN'T I want to save you? You're important to me, you know, Trem? Now, even more so that you're afflicted with this. We're going to find a cure, even if I have to knife it out of everyone we meet!"
I knew you wouldn't let me get away with it that easy. Look, I know you want to save me, that's why I didn't tell you! What if we don't find a cure? I don't want you to blame yourself.
Maybe you're right about Kha. I'll have to make it up with him. And I suppose he would like a good fight. I just don't think it's a good idea to ask him to help me get revenge.
Say, doesn't this cabin look flammable to you? No... too obvious...
"There you go, Kha!" responds Reginald, "As a Tempest Priest, you understand that anger is a useful tool, but can cloud your reasoning... best to save it for the enemy and not your companions. Now let's inform Elro of what has happened so far."
Reginald briskly walks up with Kha to Elro and attempts to catch his attention.

Oh, come on! I was just joking, you know since I could kill it I'm above it in the food chain!
Trem down his drink.
I'll go fix it!
Trem leaves and goes to find Kha.

Trem can hear grunts coming from Tulgu's cabin it sounds like someone moving heavy furniture.
Eline nods, taking a running start to catch up to Trem. She makes her way to Tulgi's house, and seeing Trem, can't help the welling up of anger. Her eyes feel like they want to squeeze every last drop out of her. Trying her best to compose herself, Eline approaches Trem.

So the answer to this one is now: yes
After a few moments of listening, Eline asks, "why WOULDN'T I want to save you? You're important to me, you know, Trem? Now, even more so that you're afflicted with this. We're going to find a cure, even if I have to knife it out of everyone we meet!"
Kha arrives at the town hall. Elro is reviewing the latest catches from the fishermen.
Eline hears the sound of something being dragged, like a heavy bed or dresser.
