Wham! Wham! Horatio crushes two of the fleeing darklings in the mirror. They both immolate in blinding flashes. Horatio: Make two DC 10 Constitution saving throws or become blinded for a turn. The other two darklings continue to flee Ben, trying to push past Horatio. Two more are fifteen or twenty feet behind them, although a little more hesitant in their movement.
Ben races back up the stairs, Glister behind him. But then she pauses and doubles over, as the earthworm in her pocket wriggles out, rapidly growing and expanding, until Gleam returns to her previous form. "Right here," replies Glister, smiling with relief. Gleam, however, looks angry and upset.
Titaani pushes past Pud, Horatio, the mirror, and two panicked darklings to enter the Orrery.
Matilda begins to move down the circular staircase, only to run into Ben, and behind him, Glister and Gleam, traveling up them in the opposite direction. "Now we need to get to the Fey Beacons," cries Glister. "We need to go home."
Everyone else (Amidor, Elkhorn, etc.) including (we'll presume) Pud, gathers on the balcony just outside the mirror.
The two darklings dive out the mirror and just past Horatio, only to find their way blocked by Amidor. They both dive over the railing. (Dex checks: 25, 18)
Amidor and Pollenella get opportunity attacks: Rapier Attack vs. Darkling #11: 20. Hit: 10 piercing damage. Pollenella Sting Attack vs. Darkling #11: 18. Hit: 3 piercing damage. (Horatio may also have an opportunity attack if he chooses.)
(( Horatio passed one Con Save with a 12, then failed one with a 7 ))
Blinded, and unsure why, Horatio carefully moves up the stairs with his hands outstretched. "Titaani, Pud.... Guys, I can't see all the sudden, I think those little monsters blinded me. Is everyone else ok?"
"Gleam, you are okay! That means the hag might really be dead! She vanished in a puff of oily smoke when I pushed her into the lightning field, but she seemed pretty confident I couldn't kill her," says Ben.
"Let's all regroup and head upstairs to the last unexplored room--we may be able to get you home from there if that's where the fey beacons are," he suggests, asking, "Do you or your sister have any idea how to reverse some of the more permanent transformations the hag has done--like people into masks or unicorns into rocking horses?"
"This way," calls out Ben to the others trying to catch up, "The Hag is gone, at least momentarily, and the Darklings are in retreat."
(Ben is more or less staying in place and talking so he can guide everyone, hopefully getting everyone up the stairs together),

Titaani continues to run forward, making sure to avoid getting electrocuted by the lightning, until she reaches Ben and Matilda. (Is she able to make it with a dash and her movement?)

(As Endelyn and the darklings are gone, combat is suspended. Everyone may act.)
Titaani catches up with Ben, Glister, and Matilda, followed seconds later by Horatio, Pud, and the others. Everyone has regrouped.
"The Fey Beacons aren't here in Motherhorn," replies Glister, "But they're in Yon. Eight huge columns of rock around a deep crater lake, they say. Perhaps we can take that hag's foul steed?"
Amidor nods sagely. He is clearly committed to helping Gleam and Glister. "I must return them homeward, forthwith," he says.
The party stands at the top of the circular staircase. The upstairs ring-shaped viewing gallery remains quiet, except for the whir of machinery and the crackling of electricity. The darklings have fled, as have the goblin custodians who had been sweeping up.
(Do Glister or Gleam have any response to Ben’s question about transformed people into masks or unicorns into rocking horses?)
”I found the key, and there is a hidden place here the goblin was talking about. Let’s explore that first and see if there is something useful there that will help us,” suggests Ben, gesturing to the double doors that the hag was trying to reach.
”I’d also like to save those turned into masks if we can figure out how to reverse the process,” he adds.
"Some magic we don't hold, I guess," replies Gleam. "We really don't know."
“Yes, when I was imprisoned, I overheard goblins talking about some belfry in one of the turrets, somewhere up here I guess," responds Glister. "They said Endelyn boarded up the belfry to prevent people from ringing the bell. Apparently, it’s the safest, fastest way to reach the Palace of Heart’s Desire from here. But Gleam and I really just want to go home now. If my sister and I can reach the Fey Beacons, we can use them to return to the Witchlight Carnival.”
"I don't know know what that key goes to, though," she continues. “Endelyn lost it and was really upset about it. Her minions have been searching for it."
Bowing to Gleam and Glister, Ben says, "Thank you for your aid in taking down Creeping Lyn. It seems you both might fit in the ornithopter to make your way to the Fey Beacons, though our path lies elsewhere. I am sure the good Amidor will ensure your safe passage."
"Horatio--you have the scepter. Excellent! Perhaps it will indeed be the key we need in our upcoming trials. I think we need to explore this last room up here, try and find what the key I found goes to, and clean things up as best we can here. We should also rest before we leave in case once we transport to Motherhorn we are thrown into a dangerous situation, as seems likely," says Ben.
"Golmo, as much as I would like to try and free the goblins transformed into masks here, I have no idea how to do so. With the hag gone, do you think the goblins will be okay? And are you ready to head back to your home once we clear this last room? I can show you to the secret passage if you like," Ben asks Golmo as he moves to the double doors to the west and prepares to open them.

Pud shields his eyes from the popping of the electricity. He can't help but gawk at this contraption. He eyes the mechanisms, hoping to glean some know how for his next invention. He walks over to the gang and says "Ben's right. We gotta look around this place. Maybe we can search the libray. See if we can find that secret about Skabatha. It might come in handy if we were face her again."

Gleam and Glister prepare to depart, quietly bidding their goodbyes. "Thank you for rescuing me from this place," begins Glister. "I hope you can remove all of these horrid hags. I'm not convinced Endelyn is dead – she often boasted of her immortality, even as she seemed obsessed with her fate. If you intend upon leaving you should do it soon." The two Selenelion twins summarize their plan to attempt to depart on the hag's ornithopter in the amphitheater, and then escape to the Fey Beacons, and then try to use them to return to the Carnival. Amidor and Pollenella will accompany them at least as far as the amphitheater. "I gotta see this," adds Squirt. The five of them depart back down the stairs.
