The party approaches the locked double door to the west.
Matilda knocks. No answer.
Titaani holds up the green gem, but there is no obvious place to put it. Touching it to the door, or against the frame, or even (with a boost) against or atop the crowned hart relief over the door, it has the same effect: nothing.
These doors appear to lack any sort of locking mechanism. Yet this one, like many of the others, is firmly - perhaps magically - locked. But there is nothing to pick.
Booooonnnnnnnngggggg. The chime again issues another smooth, clear, reverberating tone that rattles your teeth. *click*The door unlocks. (Chime use 4/10 expended.) The door opens.
It appears to be a changing room. One wall of this narrow chamber is lined with wooden cubicles, each containing a small bench and a hook for hanging clothes. Underfoot, a mosaic floor depicts images of demons. A double door leads north.
Titaani searches the room, but finds that it is completely empty. Lots of hooks for hanging clothes, but no clothing to be found.
Matilda peers around the corner. She sees more marble hallway, with three more sets of double doors. The one on the right has the same crowned hart decoration; the other two are unadorned.
"Maybe. I'm pretty disappointed there's no clothes here though," Titaani sighs, moving to the doors to the north of the room. "Are these locked, I wonder.."
Horatio finds that the hooks are stubbornly, perhaps magically, adhered to each stall wall. They will not come loose, or even budge. Horatio suspects the arcane.
Titaani and Ben examine the doors to the north. They swing open at the lightest touch.
It's a huge bathing room. Steam rises from a murky bathing pool. The tiled floor around the bath is cracked and ruined, as though something huge had stomped across it. Whatever caused this damage also left a gaping hole in one wall, through which you can see open air and the twilight sky. The doors to the east are similarly smashed.
Stepping into the room, Ben extends his senses to see if there is anything unnatural hiding in the fog (using divine sense). He says, "I wonder if this damage was caused by the Jabberwocky. We should be careful."

"Woah..." Titaani gasps. "I wonder what's through there..."
The warlock carefully and gingerly presses herself up against the wall, as far away from the water as possible. She begins to slowly make her way over to the hole in the east wall. Tiny follows her.
Ben:
"Shall we try one of the gems?" suggests Ben.

Matilda shrugged and knocked on the door...
Titaani joins them and holds up the green gem expectantly.

Matilda looked at the door, " How angry would they be if we broke it? Or....can we pick the lock?"
" What's the deer mean?"
These doors appear to lack any sort of locking mechanism. Yet this one, like many of the others, is firmly - perhaps magically - locked. But there is nothing to pick.
Where to? What next?
Ben:
”It appears we will need the chime here as well,” says Ben.

"On it!" Titaani chirps, activating the chime. "Everything in this palace is so pretty! But not quite as pretty as Titania's, though."

Ben:
Cutting off another piece of his spear, Ben prepares to wedge this door open as well. He says, “I wonder what kind of room lies to the north?”

"No idea," Titaani says, poking her head into the room. "Do think there are some clothes here? We should look our best if we're meeting the queen."

Horatio tugs at the hooks quickly to see if any can be pried loose. "Maybe we can use these for doorstops and save Ben's spear."
"Maybe. I'm pretty disappointed there's no clothes here though," Titaani sighs, moving to the doors to the north of the room. "Are these locked, I wonder.."
Ben:
Moving up to the doors to the north in the garment room, Ben checks the double door to see if it is locked.
