"I think that anyone who was dwelling down here has fled already and especially kobolds. they could have chosen to fight for their master agains us or run away, so I think that those who didn't fight have already left"
"I have no preference regarding the path we should take until it leads us out of here. I would take the stair if I had to choice"
"Yes, the stairs were well-guarded after all..." reflects Khessa "There was Cyanwrath in the temple, plus to get there you had to come either through kobolds and traps (like we did) or through Frulam and her guards! Let's go back to Frulam's room, then down to Tiamat's temple... then down the stairs"
So, you guys are going back to Tiamat's temple? Btw now you're taking your time in (what used to be) the treasure storage you notice some scattered coins on the floor.
Then, well, yes, we were heading back to Tiamat's temple using the last way (the one that avoids stirge and passes through Frulam's chamber). But given that we notice coins, we collect them before heading to temple. Once in temple, we take the stairs (the way we have not explored yet).
You find a 10g gem on the floor and 4 gold, 8 silver and 22 copper.
Down the stairs: The chamber that opens at the bottom of the stairs is immense. A wide ledge runs along the left wall and drops away to a pit on the right. Many stalactites descend from the ceiling, and the sound of dripping water echoes continuously.
Calvin has been following the group in his giant lizard form the whole time. It seems that Calvin is getting relatively comfortable with being in a lizard form.

Khessa (dressed like a Wearer of Purple) slowly walks near the edge of the pit and tries to spot what there is inside. She casts Light on the top of a a low stalactite on the pit if it is too dark.
You can just make out the shapes of 2 large eggs (each egg is nearly three feet tall) in the darkness below. Wooden steps have been built down to the lower floor. As in room with the young Guard Drakes, the steps are enclosed in a stout iron cage with a gate at the bottom. A key hangs on a wall peg opposite the top of the stairs. The cavern extends into darkness beyond the range of your light. It looks like you'll need to go down the stairs and explore the area directly to discover its full extent. Standing along the ledge you can discern many large, dark stains on the rough floor at the base of the ledge.
"So here we have the dragon eggs!" Khessa exclaims "What about throwing the drunk down? If there is a guardian, it could be attracted... and so we would see it from safety and decide what to do with it".
She grins down at the eggs. "Finally, I was thinkin they moved the bloody things." She watches as Kriv throws the drunk down there. As she does that, she can't help but think it a bit cruel, the man was helpless.... Shaking off the feeling she watches to see what happens. "If guard drakes are all that's down there, we can also try yelling at them in draconic. If they be trained at all, they should understand some commands."
Nixi is a little unsettled by the group's quick decision to throw a bound prisoner to what very well might be his death. "Uh, it's one thing to kill an enemy in battle, but killing prisoners that pose no threat crosses a line, guys..."
Anyway, Kriv throws the Cultist like a ragdoll over the edge and it takes 7 dmg. He immediately sobers up (although he's almost dead). A curious Guard Drake comes from the shadows and the panicking Cultist yells something in Draconic ("protect!" for those who speak Draconic) and he runs (with broken ribs) into the safety of the shadows. The Drake gives Kriv a condescending look before he follows the Cultist back into the darkness.
"My purpose was not to kill him, Nixi..." Khessa explains "And as you can see, we did not. But I wished to have an idea of what guardians were there. And don't forget that this one isn't a drunk we found in the tavern... but a cultist who, before getting drunk, may have carried out any brutality (robbery? violence? murder?), backed by dragons and mercenaries, against the citizens of Greenest! So, well, how I just said, my main purpose was not to kill him in cold blood. But should he even have accidentally died, I wouldn't have broken down in tears because of that".
"Anyway, there is at least one Guard Drake to keep watch!" speaks to the party the blonde arcane warrior "If we can light the area where it is, we can slay it from distance. But it is like with the other drakes we met; if there can be another way... Do you think you can try ordering the drake to obey us instead of the cultist, Zale? You can speak draconic... I'm dressed like a Wearer of Purple... What do you think? Can it work?"
"Yeah, I'm still not Ok with throwing someone into a pit of violent beasts because they 'may have' done something bad. We can haul them back to a magistrate or release them once they pose no threat, but we had no idea what would happen to him when we tossed him in. The fall alone could have killed him, and if he had been knocked unconscious, the beasts might have attacked before he called them off. I understand the 'us vs. them' feeling we have here, but one reason we are the good guys and they are not, is because we recognize that violence should be a last resort, and that mercy is a virtue."
