Nixi hears Khessa's comment about appearance and snorts. "Tall, blonde, beautiful warrior... I don't think the armor's the problem. You and I both should probably dye our hair and invest in some makeup to alter our faces a bit."
"I immediately thought about the armor because Onthar talked about 'simple ways'... (not to mention that such an armor switch could benefit me regardless)" Khessa reflects. "Anyway, dye and makeup is a good idea, an idea that certainly could help us, but it could also betray us. If someone noticed, I don't know, parts of the hair that weren't colored (therefore left of the original dye) or if the makeup got ruined for any reason (like a heavy rain) we could arouse suspicions - because at that point it would be obvious that we are trying to disguise our appearance. It might almost be preferable to dress in the fashion of an eventual culture where women cover their hair and face... if they exist! You know, unfortunately I haven't toured Faerûn much, so I don't know for sure, but if such cultures existed, by dressing like this, our features and hair would be hidden naturally and for a plausible reason..."
Zeminny will offer Khessa the use of his Kobold disguise with a giggle. He will pull off his soup pot helmet and put on a ridiculously large wizard style hat, it has eye holes cut out just above the hat band so he can see
The dragonborn replies to Leosin, "Eh, the horses be at Savanna stables." Then she turns back to the group. Fingering her scar, she sighs. "Khessa do be right. We don't want to go overboard with the disguises. For the reasons she mentions and the fact that we will have to constantly mend or re-do them. The simpler the better. Khessa could probably get away with a simple change of armor and putting her hair in a different style. Perhaps a braid? It wouldn't hide the color, but it would somewhat hide the fact it be wavy."
Noticing Zeminny she grins and chuckles a bit, "Heh, well there ain't gonna be no-one recognizin' you me friend!"
Then she turns to Eric, "Ain't no-one gonna ask ye that. Heh, though you could try the same thing i suggested Khessa do. Don't cut it, just change yer style." She gives him a wry grin, "Ye could try braidin it too."
She sighs again, "Kriv and Me do got it the hardest in this regard. I don't got any hair to change, plus I got this to worry about." She points at her face and broken horn. Then she thinks for a moment, eyes brightening with an idea. Taking the bandana from her neck, she puts it on her head, letting it fall off to the right side. It looks a bit odd hanging over her crest, but it covers the large scars over her temple, and somewhat hides the broken tip of her horn. Crossing her arms she smiles, "Well, I might look a bit ridiculous, but it works. Though an actual hat would be better." Her eyes sparkle a bit as she imagines herself wearing a captains hat. "Yes, if I can find one, I'd get one with a wide brim and a feather, That would distract anyone from lookin at me horns." Her smile broadens and she turns to Frume and Leosin. "You wouldn't happen to have a captain's hat like that lyin 'round do ye? Heheh, and maybe a cape? I was supposed to be a captain one day and we do be gettin on a boat soon..." She glances at Kriv, "How's about we make you me first mate eh? Me thinks you could use some new armor, and..." she pulls out a second bandana from her back and tosses it to him. "Put this on yer head, ye know how we...sailors...do." She crosses her arms, "Since we be the only one's with sea legs, it makes good sense we be the ones actin like we be in charge.
... Khessa could probably get away with a simple change of armor and putting her hair in a different style. Perhaps a braid? ...
"I could try braids, as a new hairstyle, Zale; not my favorite hairstyle but..." sighs Khessa "...well, the Cult will pay for that too".
"We could help each other, Eric!" the blonde arcane warrior tries to play down joking with her cleric friend "You braid my hair and I'll braid your beard, what do you say?" she winks "Collaboration is always the key to success..."
"And as far as the armor is concerned... what do you think, Onthar?" the tall adventuress finally asks the paladin leader "Would the Order accept an exchange? A Splint in exchange for my Chain Mail and the difference in gold (should be 125gp)?"
...Ontharr laughs and replies: Haha, don't worry about the gold! Anyone else want better - I mean different - armor? Hahaha!
"Are you telling me that you'll provide me a different armor without asking me to pay the difference?" Khessa's blue eyes widen with delighted amazement "Onthar, you're really dear..." the tall adventuress continues in a sweet voice, putting a hand to the heart as if she was swearing "The next cultist's head I'll smash like a watermelon or pluck from its neck, will be dedicated to you!"
In reply to Khessa Eric laughs and says "Oh, If you trust a dwarf in doing this job it's fine. We can do that!"
To Onthar he says "Well. we are forge devotes and we are always look for a better suit of armor, if you have something better than my splint I would be glad, although I won't accept it for free"
"Maybe just a new hooded cloak for me," asks Nixi, "to help conceal my gorgeous face!"She laughs.
The blonde arcane warrior seems to be talking to someone that no one else can see, while muttering: "Yes, yes, just a moment..."
Then she leans down to whisper to Nixi: "Anator wants me to tell you that it's true that you're 'gorgeous'... and that he's happy with your choice of the hood - so he'll be able to see you often anyway, since the darkness doesn't hinder his perceptions".
"You know..." adds the tall adventuress, spontaneously, a little embarrassed "I think he's taking a fancy to you. Try to be understanding, with him, if you can... He's my brother... One of the best pers... I mean... creatures I know... And you know better than me what magic can do - one day he may even be able to be get a more captivating form! Of course, I don't expect you to reciprocate right now... or even to give a serious chance to him (although there would be nothing wrong with it and, on the contrary, it would make me very happy); just... well, just don't make fun of him, if you can".
In reply to Khessa Eric laughs and says "Oh, If you trust a dwarf in doing this job it's fine. We can do that!"...
"Of course I trust you, my friend!" Khessa smiles broadly, patting him on the shoulder "I know very well that the worst that can happen is that you tie my braids with lengths of chain instead of leather thongs, but even if it happens, it could have its charm... without a doubt, I would have quite an original look".
"Haha fantastic! Me thinks this plan is going well!" Zale exclaims, then looks back at Leosin and Frume, "Just a hat n a cape for me. I be in no need of new armor, this studded leather suits me fine. Heheh."
"We will not keep you waiting!" promises Khessa. Then, since she just spared a lot of gold, if Nixi allows, the blonde arcane warrior studies magic a little with her and copies the Sleep spell (50gp, 2 hours of time).
If Leosin gives her a Harpers symbol, she conceals it on her own person and keeps it concealed, by default -she shows it only when needed.
For the rest of the day, before going to bed early, she tries to ask Leosin, Onthar and every member of the order she meets if they know something about the drow raid that wiped out her village (it was a small village near the Greenfield complex) or rumors about drow selling slaves anywhere (since her family got captured and enslaved).
Anyway, next morning she is ready to continue opposing the Cult - such a danger of course has priority... and even before sunrise she is in place, while thanks to a magic light she takes a last look at her grimoire for the spells that she plans to keep in mind that day.
Nixi is happy to help Khessa with her studies, although it makes her miss her old master. I mustn't forget to keep searching for clues as to what happened to him, she thinks, even as we pursue this dastardly cult.
Zale gleefully excepts her new hat and cape. However, she refrains from putting them on just yet. Since it seems they are leaving the next day rather than right away, the dragonborn decides to go out and help Leosin with the horses. She could use some fresh air, as she's still not fully recovered from the last day's drinking.
Once she returns she will listen to whatever bit of Khessa's conversation she happens to walk into before heading to bed at the same time as the tall fighter.
The next morning, Zale bursts out of her room bright and early. Hat on her head slightly tilted to the right to cover her scar, and green cape fluttering behind her. She stands at the top of the stairs for a moment, left hand at the hilt of her rapier, making her look like a true pirate captain, before she descends. "Alright mateys! Let's get some grub and be on our way!"
Kriv will trade his chain shirt for scale mail (if that’s Okay.) He spends the rest of the day wandering the nearby area, gathering his thoughts. He trusts his new friends but his last time on the water didn’t end well, so he couldn’t help but feel some nerves.

"I'm not going to cut my beard! I say so before anyone asking!" says the dwarf
Kriv thinks for a bit, before switching his Greataxe to his left side and his maul to the right side. He looks content with his clever disguise.

Calvin thinks momentarily, "Well, I can change into an animal. That would disguise me, but I can only hold it for so long. Though, I can do this."
Calvin performs a seemingly random gesture with his hand; then, suddenly, his teeth become sharper.
"Not sure it's much of a disguise, though."

Ontharr laughs and replies: Haha, don't worry about the gold! Anyone else want better - I mean different - armor? Hahaha!

Plate armor is off the table, but Frume agrees to the other upgrades (you have to trade your current armor). Capes and stuff are ok.
I'll go make the arrangements. Be early tomorrow! Frume tells you.
