On the way back Zemminy notices surprisingly few wanted posters. In places where you might expect them, he sees strange little symbols carved in teh poster space. [I don't believe Zeminny knows Thieves' Cant?]
Back at Ackyn:
Ahh! You have returned! This must mean the cult is here? Who's keeping an eye on them?
Khessa reports: "They are not here yet, but they are coming! We have spotted some wagons on the horizon, advancing slowly. I guess it must be because they are heavily loaded (and we have already told you what this heavy load could be). They should reach the City Outside around noon, so you have time if you need to do any kind of preparation".
"Nobody is keeping an eye on them right now," the blonde arcane warrior goes on "as far away as they are, but we will assign someone again to this task, if you so prefer. Just tell if you need us and what we should do if you need our help".

Did you recognize them? They probably want to leave fast... we should warn your employers to be ready... Looks like you're leaving tomorrow!

I think it's best to keep an eye on them.
"We only spotted them on the horizon" Khessa explains again "so they were too far away to be recognized - even if we believe it is them".
"Anyway" the blonde arcane warrior pats Ackyn on the shoulder "keep an eye on them we will! Feel free to warn our employers to be ready (unless you prefer we do this ourselves). We will report to you again as soon as the Cult reaches the City Outside!"
And with that, the tall adventuress telepathically requests Anator to resume his surveillance duty.

Well, I kinda have a shop to run. And if a caravan goes north tomorrow it will be a busy day for me. Some loners usually join the caravan protection and others may also need some last minute gear.
(Sorry i've been busy this week. Lots of homework!)
If Zale notices Zeminny looking at the writing, she will look at it for him. (She definitely knows thieves 'cant)
Zale listens to Khessa and Ackyn's conversation then grins, "Sounds like a plan!"
(Don't worry about it. I've been quite busy myself)
The symbols indicate that a large criminal organization runs this city's underworld and it does not allow any competition. Maybe they also have an understanding with the law enforcers? You haven't seen much "street crime".

If this means that we should warn our employers, Khessa goes and warns Aldor the lawyer - she also helps him and starts already her bodyguard duty at his side, if he so wishes.
Then, when Anator brings news of the arrival, she quickly alerts Ackyn.
Zale frowns at the strange text, then turns to Zeminny and explains what it says. "Normally I wouldn't be thinkin much of it, but now? Now I can't help but wonder if things like this be connected to that bloody cult. An organization big enough to accomplish this, and potentially have it in with the law has to have somethin pretty big to back em up."

“ well, if nothin else, it means there is not much chance for a quick extra gold catching a low life thief…seems the thieves runs the governance of this town…no wonder it smells funny”
"Perhaps" nods the dwarf "but we have no clues about it, I think that an underground organization, powerful enough, may deal with the cult for his own profit. Although it is likable and despicable; It is not enough to say they are actual ally.... But yes, better keeping our guard hight"
If Khessa is still around when this discussion takes place, she tries to speculate: "If they weren't allies of the Cult, maybe we could use them against the Cult… if these criminals find out about all this loot that has to pass through the city, maybe they could try to steal it from the Cult during the load/unload operations... thus thwarting their plans. Who knows" she turns her dreamy blue eyes to Zale "if a pirate captain could sell this information to the criminals? But of course it's a gamble - if they are allies, we'd be in trouble".
Let's say you have enough time to warn your employers [we don't need to RP that] and reach the Outer City in time to see the large caravan reaching it the city limits. Are you all going there? Who's doing what?
Zale grins at Khessa, "Well, that don't be a bad idea. If we had the time for it, I coulda tried to infiltrate the place and determine if they were workin with the cult r not. Unfortunately, I don't think we have that option since that caravan is so close... I'll keep an eye out while we be here though, might as well gather as much intel as possible."
The dragonborn returns to her dwarven employer and graciously thanks him for hiring her before telling him that she must be on her way. She takes a different route back than she took to get there, and on her way there and back she keeps an eye and an ear out for any more gang writing or shady figures.
"I don't know" mumbles the dwarf to Khessa "I think people like that would be unreliable allies"
He looks to the other than "They are coming by the way, I guess we need to find a way to infiltrate among them, the people that have hired us could have enough connection to make us join their caravan" he says "I any case I would suggest to intercept them at the city gates"

"In fact, I didn't think of them as allies, I simply thought about selling them the information about the treasure, in order to exploit their greed so that they would get in the way of the Cult..." Khessa clarifies "If they managed to steal the treasure from the Cult, the Cult would not be able to exploit it for its own evil purposes".
"But anyway," admits the blonde arcane warrior "Zale's probably right when she fears it's too late for that, with the caravan so close. Let's simply go intercept the caravan at the city gates".
Once at thee city gates, the tall adventuress asks his companions: "I can see through my brother's eyes... (just as Nixi can see through Isidore's eyes, if she wants). That way, if we find a quiet place out of sight, we will be able to spy without any risk of being seen. What do you think? But I will need someone to watch over me while I do it, because while I use my brother's senses, I can't use mine at the same time! I'll be like deaf and blind during that time".
And if the party accepts, when the caravan is about to arrive...
"Wow!" Khessa exclaims softly, while her mouth remains partially open in wonder. It's the first time she's done it... she had read the description of the phenomenon many times in her own spellbook... but experiencing it in person is something else entirely! All of a sudden, she's aware of everything she has around her, within 60': the walls, the people, the buildings, even the tiny flying bugs... It's more like... knowing, being aware of, than like seeing. It's almost like exploring another world! Only it's not another one; it is always Toril... but perceived with different senses!
Not to mention the sensation of flying! That reminds her a little of swimming, swimming gracefully in a pool of calm water; only she's not swimming in the water... but in the air!
'Oh, brother...' she thinks 'Allowing me to fly with you... It is so wonderful! I'll never be able to thank you enough for this!'
But while enjoying this new marvel of magic, the blonde arcane warrior also observes the caravan...
“Even if they work with the cult now, people like that will turn on each other. They have no loyalty to others.” Kriv looks to Khessa. “I will protect you. Just let me know when you are ready.”

Nixi will follow the others, keeping in contact with Isidore the raven.
