"Oh, to live forever?" Khessa looks at Eric for a moment then back to the obvious Vampire "Who wants to live forever, if your beloved must die? No, no need for that, but thank you... It was a very nice offer! You have been really kind to me, like a true friend".
"Oh, to live forever?" Khessa looks at Eric for a moment then back to the obvious Vampire "Who wants to live forever, if your beloved must die? No, no need for that, but thank you... It was a very nice offer! You have been really kind to me, like a true friend".
Oh my sweet child. Your Dwarven lover will live long past your natural death. The Vampire puts an arm around you as she wants to guide you away. But we can dicuss that at a later time. Come, let's get the formalities with the Wyrmspeaker out of the way. To the others she says: Just follow us. The Wyrmspeaker wants so see all arrivals. And to Khessa: My name is Sandesyl, dear. Sandesyl Morgia. What's yours?
The dwarf holds, fighting his instinct which demands him to whip the undead out, although visibly upset he is able to control himself. "Lady Sandesyl, I'm sure you know that there are things that lasts beyond death" he says touching his holy symbol "I'm Eric, Eric Bjornstad. At Tiamat's service, our Mother and Strength"
"I'm Khessa, pleasure to meet you, Sandesyl!" the blonde arcane warrior smlles at the undead "I'm so glad to have found a trusted ftiend here! It's not wonderful, dear?" she turns to Eric - for as much as she likes the charming vampiress, Eric is still Khessa's love.
Seeing the dwarf following, the tall adventuress talk to Sandesyl again: "You will make sure there are no problems with the Wyrmspeaker, will you? There is any specisl advice you can give me to pass this 'formality'? You know, the flight must have been more tiring than expected, I feel my judgment slightly... clouded... and I'd hate to give the wrong impression".
Morgia keeps a pleasant tone while she guides you to a spiral staircase. Her attitude changes when she's speaking about the Wyrmspeaker.
You are right to worry about her. Rezmir is part of the the new cult leadership. Worshipping living Dragons! You can hear the disgust in her voice. We should slay them and raise them as Dracoliches. That's the true path! She calms a bit before continuing. Better avoid that dicussion when you meet her.
"You know?" Khessa whispers to her 'friend' "I think you are right... Rezmir, let's face it, is just an 4sshole with dumb ideas - and this will be clear after her first serious failures. Not few oppose her, you know? Speaking of that... why bother to meet her? You are a noble servant of the queen, not a dog tied to Rezmir's leash! How humiliating must be, to always follow her orders to the letter? Let us in without meeting her! We have better things to do than waste our time with her, haven't we? She will never even find out".
Morgia chuckles. Oh my sweet Khessa, every sentinel must have seen you approach. No, how much I hate to admit it, I am forced by circumstance to work with her.
The spiral staircase is made of sculpted ice connects. On your way down you pass tunnel entrances that Morgia ignores. The staircase’s spiraling steps are coated with crunchy frost and cannot be climbed quietly, nor are they slippery.
Still gripped by inexplicable affection for the poor undead, apparently forced against her will to obey someone much younger, inexperienced and unworthy than she is, Khessa admits: "Oh, I thought that, once down the stairs and out of sight, you could simply lead somewhere else... Do you think the guards report to Rezmir about every single person who arrives to check if they have been introduced? But okay, of course we'll do as you think best; you know this environment much better than I do..."
"I trust you, Sandesyl; your friendship is precious to me; we will do as the circumstances require" the blonde arcane warrior adds. "Perhaps" she winks "in the future, the circumstances could change".
"You know the castle well, I imagine" the tall adventuress tries to chat with her new friend, during the journey. Of course, she asks for information about where the passages that are bypassed and bypassed lead (not necessarily great details, but at least where they lead) and above all about where the room is located from which it is possible to direct the flight of the castle "You know, it must be so fascinating, a magic so strong as to make a castle fly..."
Eric listens the dialogue, looking suspicious at Morgia. Although he's able to dispel the vampiric influence upon his love; he also think that this could rise suspects, puts their mission and their life in jeopardy...

That depends. What are you casting? I think you'll need Vocal and Somatic? Vocal means that you have to actually murmur arcane words for the spell to take effect. Somatic means you have to actively use your hands for your spell. It would be dificult. But if you use the right checks and explain how, maybe you can do it...
BTW you're getting close to the PNR. So I'm giving Zale a chance to do something stupid before you reach Rezmir.
Eric may cast Dispel magic to contrast charmed condition (although I don't even know if it applicable in this particular setting) I think it would be too difficult to dissimulate it, unless something distract Morgia...
If you were talking to Khessa, here's her Persuasion: 19
Not bad, not bad at all.
Morgia rubs her chin. You may have a point. We don't have to bother her in the middle of the night. She is quick to add: I will seek you out an hour before dawn, so you can rest up a bit in the brarracks. But promis me Khessa... Morgia cups your face her hands. Promise me that will always be welcome wherever you are!
You are now in the lower courtyard. The lower courtyard is heavily obscured by fog to a height of 40 feet—the same height as the walls that enclose it. The upper courtyard partially overhangs this one. It is held aloft by sweeping arches of ice that soar to a height of over 100 feet.
"Of course, Morgia" Khessa, influenced by the Charm, finds it natural to answer. "Every true friend of mine is always welcome wherever I am! And I think you will soon have proof of my friendship" she adds.
"Just one last little thing, before we say goodbye temporarily... Could you give me directions to the room where the Castle is piloted?" the blond earcane warrior has a dreamy look in her blue eyes "I am so fascinated by the magic that allows this structure to fly... I would like to see the room where this is done, where the flight of this majestic structure is actually controlled. An important person like you surely knows how to show me the best way to reach it".
'I don't want to let my dear friend Morgia in on our plans...' the tall adventuress thinks 'She might be reluctant to help us and I would basically just put her in trouble. But I will warn her, so she can get to safety, before I bring this den of evil to crash to the ground'.
Why of course! It's in the steering tower, the upper courtyard! Haha hahaha mwuhahhuahuahuaHer evil laugh dissipates as Sandesyl Morgia dissolves into the mist.
Eric exhales sharply, "is she actually gone?" he says to himself "I feel relieved" then he takes Khessa's hand "Are you ok dear?" without waiting her to answer he adds "pay attention and don't trust her; she's Vampire, they are beguiling creatures. She was trying to manipulate you, as her kind always do. I feel she's not willing to help us, she may try to manipulate us for her own goals. She may look like our friend, she is not"
"I'm fine, my love, thank you..." Khessa replies, puzzled - she doesn't understand why Eric is worried about her and so wary of the vampire "Yes, now that you mention it, with those sharp canines, her passion for dracoliches and the fact that she dissolved into the mist, it's true, Sandesyl could be a vampire... However, I feel like I can trust her. I can't tell you why... it's a strong impression I've had almost from the first moment I saw her... but I'm sure it's true. I believe she's a sincere friend of ours. After all, she saved us from meeting Rezmir and also told us where the command tower is..."
"Now we could try" the blonde arcane warrior is excited "to take control of the castle's flight - and have it plummet to the ground or crash into a mountain, putting an end to the Cult's 'fundraising' plan once and for all".
[[ OOC: @DM - or @Whoever Remembers: Did the party and Rezmir ever met? We know Rezmir by reputation, but do we also know what she looks like? And does Rezmir know what we look like? Just to understand how dangerous could it be to meet her in person. ]]
Zale feels incredibly proud of herself for her skill in flying and landing the wyvern, despite the fact that without calvin's help she probably wouldn't have made it...
Grinning giddily she dusts her hands off as she follows Khessa and Eric, then she stops dead in her tracks when the vampire materializes. She stands there in shocked silence as Khessa makes idle chatter with the vampire as if they were old friends. What the bloody heck is going on? She looks back and forth between the two. So far the only thing she agrees with is slaying the dragons...she definitely doesn't want to raise them from the dead.
After the vampire disappears, Zale says in a harsh whisper, "What the bloody hell was that Khessa? That woman is so obviously a vampire it's not even funny! She coulda put some kinda spell on ye for cryin out loud!"

The Vampire is all but placing her fangs in Khessa's neck. So yeah, it's pretty obvious.
