Khessa approaches Zale and pats her on the shoulder: "What a lunge!" she smiles birghtly "He didn't even see it coming... until he finally stopped being able to see anything at all!"
But the dragonborn is unresponsive and she seems to zone out...
"Zale?" the tall adventuress looks into her eyes, slightly worried "Everything alright? It's over..."
While that's happening you begin to take in your surroudings. This chamber has been enlarged and reshaped from its original form. The floor and three of the walls are smooth, and stalactites and stalagmites have been polished into gleaming columns. Every surface glistens with moisture, and the air is warm and humid. The flat walls of the chamber are decorated with shallow abstract carvings of dragons. Dragons’ tails coil into intricate patterns and knots that flow across the walls. The creature portrayed in the northwest corner stands out: a five-headed Dragon, rising from an erupting volcano. Other Dragons, which seem dwarfed by the five-headed monstrosity, flock to its side. A small, wooden chest with silver and mother-of-pearl inlays sits on the floor in the corner, in front of the monstrous Dragon carving.
"A shrine dedicated to Tiamat, maybe?" speculates Khessa, replying to Kriv "Cyanwrath spoke about Tiamat, before she died... and here the main representation is that of Tiamat... they did even put treasure at her feet... Maybe there is a plot of that five-headed reptile behind all of this".
Eric nods, "I think you are right Khessa, I think that all of this has been building to worship Tiamat" Eric will inspect the wall seeking for any hidden significance or alternative story it might tell. Although his Religion check is: 8
Zale nearly drops her rapier after yanking it from the berserker’s face. She shivers when he drops to the ground, and backs up two steps before Khessa pats her shoulder. The contact helps dispel the vision distorting the thug’s visage. She puts her free hand on her head then drags it down her face shaking her head. “I-I be fine. It be nothin’.” Turning away from the berserker she offers a small smile to the talk woman, “Ye be a good fighter yerself.”
She glances at the crumpled body of Telurion’s killer, “Well, looks like Calvin got the honor of avenging our friend.” She salutes the lizard, then takes in the rest of the room. Nodding to Khessa she walks over to Nixi, who is kneeling in front of a chest. “Should we try unlocking it? I trust if it hurts me to bad I can trust one of ye to keep me among the living?”
"Thank you, dear" Khessa returns the smile to Zale. "With the life I've found myself leading, I had no choice - I had to become one. I'm glad you feel better, now, by the way. You also OK, Nixi?" she turns her blue eyes to her gnome friend "We both had quite a shocking experience..."
"Speaking of the chest," considers the blonde arcane warrior "now that we have disposed of the local boss we should be reasonably safe. We could rest, regain strength and cpe with the chest later, so to be better prepared to handle its traps".
"And while we rest," she looks at Eric "we could also try to forge a weapon from the poisoned spikes of the previous area... Maybe a handaxe or a javelin? So you can throw it before closing in and, if you are lucky (and if the poison is not removed by the process) one enemy is out of the combat for some time..."
Zale shrugs, 'better' probably wasn't the best word for how she felt. However, she could ignore those images for the time being. No need to make the others worry. "I grew up learnin the way of the sword. 'Tis a good thing to know." She smiles, "And i do be fine, truly."
She leaves Nixi to the chest and starts to search Cyanwrath's body, "Well, I for one would prefer to deal with the chest now, then sleep off whatever affects it has on me if necessary. Anyways, let's see if this bastard has a key on 'im."
Investigation: 8
(Zale doesn't really need a break, she didn't take any damage from the fight. So it might be better for her to try the chest now. Then if she takes damage, she'll actually benefit from a rest.)
Eric nods, "I think you are right Khessa, I think that all of this has been building to worship Tiamat" Eric will inspect the wall seeking for any hidden significance or alternative story it might tell. Although his Religion check is: 8
Well... one thing catches your attention. Black Dragoms seem overrepresented.

No keys. There's a Greatsword and a Spear, those are hard to miss...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Out of concern for Zale, Calvin turns back into his human form.
"Are you sure you are alight, Zale?" Calvin asks. "I am well educated in medicine. It is part of the reason why I originally joined the group. If you would permit it, I would like to examine you."
(If Zale permits, Medicine: 18)

Recovering from the attack on Cyanwrath, Calvin attempts to go in for the attack on the remaining berserker. He moves in close, but snapping at him.

Annoyed that her first attack did nothing, Zale tries again. She pulls her rapier back and stabs it right towards the berserker's eye.
To hit: 20
Damage: 7
Sneak attack: 4
That's a miss. The Berserker sidesteps the bite and retaliates with an attack of his own (directed at Lizard Calvin): to hit NAT 1 WITH ADVANTAGE!!!
How do you want to do this?

Nixi quietly cheers for Zale, and sits down to catch her breath and bind up her wounds.
Zale just stabs the raging berserker right through his eye, then she twists it in the socket and yanks it out.
Wisdom save: 6... (Guess we'll finally find out what happens now!)
You all notice the Berserker falling to his knees before he fall completely over. Zale seems to zone out for a few seconds..

Kriv kneels down to catch his breath, using his axe to prop himself up. He dismisses the tentacle and looks around the room. “What is all of this?”
Nixi will kneel in front of the small chest, looking for traps on the locking mechanism.

The chest is locked and you're pretty sure it's trapped. You're not sure how it's trapped, probably in several ways.
