Kyrsa nods to Akyan, "That sounds like a decent idea. I'd rather not risk climbing into another room without knowing who's in there. We got awfully lucky last time." She looks to where Jhaarteal's voice had come from, "Jhaarteal, perhaps you can slip through the door while Akyan speaks to whomever opens it? That way if it isn't our mark who opens the door we can still get someone on the inside. Akyan, your mental link is still up correct? That should keep us in contact with Jhaarteal when he is inside."
"That actually would be our best option." Akyan states, "So if she answers hypnotize her, if she doesn't, then sneak in. You may be able to just find and hypnotize her when you get in there if she doesn't answer the door."
In preparation of possibly needing to go in solo, Jhaartael reaches into his pouch and touches the Pearl, drawing upon its power to sharpen his connection to the weave. He feels an increase in his stamina in relation to his higher level spells ((regains a 2nd level spell slot))
"Alright, sounds like a solid plan," Kyrsa says. Turning to Jhaarteal she says, "If you have to go in, keep us as updated as possible. We don't want something to happen to you where we can't help you. If you see an opportune place for one of us to get in there and join you, let us know."
The disembodied voice of Jhaartael answers Mina's observations wryly, "Did we get a good look at the 'customer'? Perhaps once we have dealt with the supply, we can also make a dent in the demand?". Mina can almost hear the grim smile in his voice.
Mina gives Jhaartael a wry smile as he echoes her thoughts.. she also finds hearing his voice and not seeing him and very interesting feeling.
She waits in the shadows for the new plan to take place.
"Okay, who is going to knock and lure them out? I will stand off to the side. If you can get them to step out a bit, I will either hypnotize them or sneak in. If I sneak in, I will wait for them to close up and then I will unlock the door from the inside and let you know. Then I will proceed to look for the leader to neutralize her."
((How long has it been since I turned invisible?))
(Oh, i thought Mina was going to open knock on the door since she has the ring. I guess that wasn't actually decided on though. lol)
Akyan looks between the others, "Alright then, I'll lure them out i guess. I'm just going to act like we are looking to join the gang." Stepping up to the door, Akyan knocks on it, then waits for someone to answer.
Ok.... moving this along. Akyan knocks on the door, an unknown male inside answers. Akyan speaks the password, at which point the door opens, revealing a stout human male dressed in animal skins with a greatsword at his back. He has longish tangled hair, a scruffy beard, and sunburnt skin. He glowers at Akyan and anyone else standing with him.
"Well?"he repeats, "Whaddya want? You here about the shipment, too? It's late! Don't know what the holdup is..."
If Jhaartael would like to sneak past him, he should roll a stealth check with advantage.
"We just talked to one of your members. A green dragonborn. Ziena I think was the name? She seemed like she was in a hurry. She told us to come here and to use the password. Apparently her boss was busy with something else."
Tamryn points Annika to the alleyway and briefly describes what he intends to do. He reaches into a pouch and pulls out a small bag, making a metallic clinking sound. He climbs on top of the wagon and makes his way to the rear of it. Doing his best to keep his balance on top of the wagon as it rams its way into the alley (Acrobatics: 21 (see game log)), he spills the contents of the bag on the road behind him. 1,000 ball bearings ping, bounce, and roll under the feet of unsuspecting merchants, pack animals, and pedestrians. Ideally, the ball bearings will slow down pursuit. When the wagon is wedged, he will climb up to the top of Antiomno’s Antiques and start making his way over the rooftops toward the closest Serpent collection point.
Annika nods as you explain your plan. You climb atop the swaying wagon, and easily manage to keep your balance as the wagon lurches forward, pulled by confused horses who are snorting worriedly at the confined space. Annika urges them forward until the wagon is snugly jammed between the walls of the alley, then she climbs forward, unhitching the horses and undoing their harnesses. After this she takes off forward down the alley.
You, meanwhile, attempt to leap to the rooftop, but misjudge the distance. Luckily, as you fall past the ledge, flailing your arms, you catch hold of a clothesline bedecked with colorful laundry, and manage to zip-line your way onto a balcony, laden with damp women's clothing. Rather than climb the exterior wall, you enter the balcony door, and pass quickly through the apartment, causing shrieking and cursing, and rapidly find an interior stairwell that leads to the roof. Up you go, and you are soon bounding over the flat rooftops like a hare fleeing a fox. After about six or seven buildings, you crouch down and look behind you for pursuit. You see no evidence that anyone is following you.
In order to make it back to the slave district at some point you will need to descend to street level. How far will you take the high road before you come back to earth?

Akyan nods, "Yes, we still have quite a bit of time before they break."
"Yes. I should be able to attempt that. If she does answer, I can immobilize her via hypnosis."

(Hmmm... 30-45 minutes?)
(You guys aren't waiting on me, right? Did I overlook something? I wouldn't worry about waiting for Lyndaran, he'll jump in when he can)

After a few moments, the peekhole slides open, and a pair of dark eyes looks out. "Well?" a deep male human voice growls.
(FYI the password for this location is "black adder")

Akyan crosses his arms and says, “We’re not here about any shipment. We’re here to join the serpents. Can we speak to whoever is in charge here?”

(OK, maybe I jumped the gun. Did you want to use the password or not?)
(No worries! Yes he used the password :) )
The barbarian seems confused. "You want to join the Serpents? How did you know the password if you're not a Serpent?" He looks quite suspicious.
"We just talked to one of your members. A green dragonborn. Ziena I think was the name? She seemed like she was in a hurry. She told us to come here and to use the password. Apparently her boss was busy with something else."

(Hope the others can help him here!)
(Is anyone else standing with Akyan in sight of the thug?)
