"They have some half decent arrows, I'm gonna use theirs first." J'nah declared to himself. "We're still pushing forward? That makes this our fallback spot. Let's try to keep our bearings." He says as he lights a torch.
As Sorrow makes short work of the clumsy built wall you all see the start of a deeper cave. The mouth you are standing in is about 50 feet wide with a ceiling height of around 15 feet. The cave mouth is conical in shape with the back wall narrowing down to around 12 feet wide. With the lit torch you can see this passageway appears to head straight back from where you are by the narrower back wall.
What is the party marching order? What do you wish to do now?
Millwater steps forward towards the darkness and as his eyes adjust to the darkness he says "I can scout ahead of the torchlight, but if I run past you better all catch up!"
He takes a really deep breath and walks to reach of the torchlight. Millwater crotches low, confident his gear is clenched tight and quiet. He steps into the darkness...
As Mill gets ready to move forward, Sorrow says quietly ‘I’ve got your back. I’ll stay close enough to help if you need it but not so close as to hamper your stealth.’ She takes a couple deep breaths as she settles onto the balls of her feet, gripping the axe two handed. ‘Lead on.’
With the torch in hand he J'nah keeps the light above his head to avoid looking directly at it. He also reminds people if they're going to be in front of the light they should stay to the sides so that their shadows don't cast further down the tunnel and block line of sight or silhouette themselves. Knowing he's not the fastest he keeps his bow in the off hand ready to cast the torch aside to grab an arrow. Being in a cave, J'nah feels more at home actually than the forest. His people were a coastal fork and there were many a time were he had to go spelunking with his crew to find Kobolds holed up in the caves off the shore. Being used to wetter caves J'nah couldn't help but try to keep track of wet spot reflections on the floor here or looking for tracks as throwing the torch was a tried and true method of getting ready for action and if you threw it in a puddle, you were about to be cast into darkness.

During the wall take down, Festoon spends some time getting rid of the vestiges of Footchomper and becoming Festoon completely once more. Once that welcome task is done - as well as tucking away anything no one grabbed from the chest and filling his own quiver with arrows - he brings up the back of the train into the tunnel, bow nocked and ready. He relies upon his natural sneakiness to be unseen from anything approaching the rear.

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
Vee takes both sword belts and crosses them over his back to carry both swords, keeping both in case they were needed. He retrieves any bolts, loads the Xbow, steps to Sorrows left side and follows slightly behind her.
You all head deeper into this new cave. The corridor you are in leads you about 100 feet where it widens into a room that is roughly 40 feet by 40 feet. The ceiling is higher at around 20 feet. As you enter the room your perception sees part of the ceiling moving. Due to their coloring it is hard to tell but it looks to be at least four spiders. Normally spiders are not a issuer but these are roughly the size of a horse and they look hungry.
Millwater feels his hackles rise when he realizes the size of the spiders, and turns around. Using his hands with fear in his eyes, 4 fingers show, then BIG hands coming apart, Spiders wrist together fingers wiggling. He repeats this a few time making his way back to his companions.
"There are 4 huge ******* spiders in next room ahead!" he whispers after getting enough distance.
Sorrow, taking a deep breathe and letting it out thru her nose at the limited info, switches to a javelin for a reach weapon. ‘Get some oil and rags ready-we may need to light them up’ she says to Vee softly. She steps forward to the opening of the room, looking for egress means and the location of the spiders, trying to gauge line of sight and defensive points.
Vee repeats Sorrows instructions in a quiet voice. ‘Oil and rags folks-keep that torch ready.’ He too steps toward the opening, looking for the spiders, trusting Sorrow to notice exits and numbers, the others to prep the oil bombs.
As Sorrow gets up to the opening into the room she will notice spiders heading her way on the ceiling they are about 20 feet away/ She also notices there are openings in the right and left walls at approximately the middle of each wall.
"Sorry, when I realized what and how big I froze, do they have a weakness for fire? Should I fight with J'nah's torch?" Millwater says from behind Sorrow's back. He gets in between Sorrow and Veeshal to form a line at the opening. He turns his head to Tail Feathers and asks "Can you talk to them? Maybe they are just hungry. Think they might want the sausage you all won't try?"
Millwater reaches for the torch if it would be more effective weapon. He readies his mind for battle and takes a good hard look at the ceiling.
J'nah pulls out another torch and lights it off the first, "no time to look for weeds in this damp place. If you want these, here they are, I think everything but but fire elements have a desire to not be burned." He offers them both to Millwater as clubs.
If he doesn't take them, he'll toss them and ready short swords seeing how close they've gotten.

Tail Feathers goes towards the spiders, looking to see their size. “Oh my!” She thought to try talking to one of them, but felt it might be a bit of a problem.
As everyone moves towards the opening where spiders are coming at them Sorrow tosses a javelin doing 6 points of damage on one. Veeshal sends his bolt across the room no where near any spiders. Festoon shoots at a spider hitting it for 12 damage. Tail-Feathers looks at the spiders and understands she will not be able to speak to them. Millwater takes a lit torch from J'nah feeling he should be able to attack with this to help keep the small spiders away. He is not sure about the really big ones.
This is the end of the first round. Next round they will be within range to attack any in the room or in the entryway. Let me know you next actions. As far as smaller spiders no one sees any due to the lit torch having scared them far far away.(There were never any)
