Balrog is suprised that Ugg, an Orc of all creatures aided him when he was attacked by the imp. He mutters a begrudging, “Thank ye..” to Ugg, then grumbles, “But, I coulda handled It meself!” and trudges off through the secret door in a huff.
Violet marble tiles cover the floor and walls, though all are cracked or broken, revealing rough-hewn stone beneath. Sconces are attached to the walls at each corner. One holds a torch that burns with greenish fire. A marble sarcophagus, easily nine feet long, lies int he room's center. The coffin is carved with dragon imagery, and the head of the sarcophagus resembles a dragon's head. Rusting iron clasps firmly lock down the lid.
“Right, look here you lot, that’s probably the tomb of the dragon priest that’s...mmm...probably not so dead according to the writing on the wall back there” Balrog states in a nonchalant tone.
“Right, well we know how this turns out, someone’s going to do something to wake up the bleedin’ dragon priest then us lot r’ going ta have to kick his...”
”Hey... aren’t people with high status usually buried with treasure... da ya think they’re might be some in there...” Balrog says as he walks over the the lid and gives it a “tap tap tap” with his hammer.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Phil cracks his knuckles and steps forward from the back of the group with gusto. ”Looks like it’s Phil’s time once again. You know my rates, first pick on anything shiny in there, blah blah blah blah blah.” He declares, Emerald eyes shining with greedy joy.
Lockpick Roll: 19
(Let’s pray it’s as easy a job as the DM says it is, I don’t think Phil could take the ego blow)
“Thought a dusty tomb for some ancient dragon cult was as good a place as any to practice my stand up.” Phil shoots back sarcastically, frustrated with how much fight this archaic set of locks was putting up.
Luckily, you don't need a lock pick skill to open up the sarcophagus. It just clicks right open! A bright green light erupts from the tomb cover as Phil opens it up, and inside is a troll! It's dressed in rotted finery, but its jewelry and rings adorned with tiny silver dragons still sparkle. The creatures body is shrunken and elongated, and its flesh is a rubbery, putrid green. Its black hair is long, thick, and ropy. Its beady eyes flash open, and it snarls.
Roll for initiative!

Varth hears the imp say "dragonpriest" and muses over whether he has heard or have read anything related to the word.

"Dragonpriest?"

Last to know and first to be blamed...
As a free action, can I regret my life choices?
The term Dragonpriest could mean anything. Nothing comes to mind at the moment. Perhaps a high ranking position in a cult...?
AREA 11 - THE SECRET ROOM
Dust coasts the contents of this tiny chamber, but you can see words inscribed on the southern wall. It is in Draconic. They say:
A DRAGONPRIEST ENTOMBED ALIVE FOR TRANSGRESSIONS OF THE LAW STILL RETAINS THE HONOR OF HIS POSITION
POINTS OF INTEREST:
DC20 Wisdom (Perception): ?????
A tiny passage leads into AREA 12.
Balrog pauses to digest the information on the wall.
Perception: 10
“Ehhh... I got nothin’,” Balrog grunts and proceeds to the next room.
Balrog squeezes through the passageway to the next area.
Ugg looks in the tiny chamber feeling slightly claustrophobic and peers around curiously. (perception: 14)
"What is this scribbling all about?" he says to himself kind of loudly
"Lord Arunduil will bring death to us all"
Arutha Lvl.2 Human Fighter: Arsenal of the Orc Lord
Milamber Lvl.1 Human Sorcerer: Curse of Strahd
Masque: Lvl.5 Gith Cleric: Age of Death
DM: League of Improbable Adventurers: Chapter 1 of Arunduil's Bane
Balrog could read it. If he wants to share it, that's his option =P
Ok, on to the next area!
AREA 12 - THE TOMB OF THE FAILED DRAGONPRIEST
Violet marble tiles cover the floor and walls, though all are cracked or broken, revealing rough-hewn stone beneath. Sconces are attached to the walls at each corner. One holds a torch that burns with greenish fire. A marble sarcophagus, easily nine feet long, lies int he room's center. The coffin is carved with dragon imagery, and the head of the sarcophagus resembles a dragon's head. Rusting iron clasps firmly lock down the lid.
The locks on the tomb can easily be opened.
“Right, look here you lot, that’s probably the tomb of the dragon priest that’s...mmm...probably not so dead according to the writing on the wall back there” Balrog states in a nonchalant tone.
Balrog eyes the tomb with distaste, “Probably some bleedin’ twisted magic a foot here”.
Arcana: 15
You are detecting a very small amount of magic coming from the sarcophagus, but that's all you can tell.
Balrog lets out a long sigh, “haaurmm”.
The sarcophagus is very old, the dust billows as you tap it. It seems very solid, but unlockable.
