Gilded will raise his strength and Constitution levels for level 4.
He now has 21/36 hp.
Gilded feels a strength surge through him as the dragon falls, he feels Iroas imbue him with more strength and the promise to help keep him alive in the future. "Thank you for these gifts, I will not fail you." He prays under his breath.
Sy has a 19 in wisdom and 8/31 health. Sy’s demon returns to his bagpipes, and he regains control. He looks to the corpses of the two dead dragons and chuckles.
”That was surprisingly quick, no casualties either.”
Drezmir walks back to the group with Rex. When they meet up with Arthur he briefly considers congratulating him for beating their dragon before he finished off his...but considering their loss he decides against it. Instead he says, "Nice fighting out there. I'm... sorry about Leonard." He shakes his head, "I don't know who that woman was, but it sounds like she's been causing more problems then just...this." He gestures towards the carnage. "I'm pretty sure that she had something to do with...some issues in Glazing Winds."
After a moment he approaches the elf, "Might I ask your name? You seem familiar with Arthur, so I am assuming you are from the same group?" He offers a hand to him, "I am Drezmir."
After he receives whatever response from the elf, he asks, "You wouldn't happen to know anything about that woman would you? Or are you as in the dark as the rest of us?" As he speaks, his eyes drift over to Corvus, but he decides to wait until after his conversation with this newcomer to address the warlock.
Corvus lands near the rest of the group just as Drezmir makes his way over to them. He frowns as the half-elf glances at him, but otherwise ignores it.
"From what I've gathered, she is working with the red daggers, and i would guess that she has made some kind of pact with certain demon." He says bluntly.
“More talk of this Ascension business. Looks like Simon was a small piece of… whatever we’ve stumbled into.” Kocino climbs down from the rock and examines the bodies of the dragons, looking for any odd physical features.
Seeing both the white and red dragons fall makes something break in Amon. The tiny fairy suddenly feels the urge to... to run. To leave. The sight of death at his level of emotional overload was too much to bear. So he leaves without a word.
The little energy he has left to think is spent deciding that he wasn't going to stray far from the group, so he would know where they would be in case they moved.
(Yay, level 4!!!
DM, I'm gonna let you decide how far away Amon is from everyone else, since I'm not sure what the terrain's like or how far/close 'earshot' would be.)

Turning to Corvus, Drez says, "A certain demon? Care to elaborate?" His tone is unusually blunt, and his eyes are hard as he looks down at the warlock.
Corvus returns the half-elf's stare with his usually cold, yet fiery gaze. His composure appears normal, but the flame of hatred glows clearly in his eyes. "I know little about it other than it is a being of fire, and that I would very much like to kill it." Noticing the fairy isn't with them, he continues. "I mentioned before that I have an interest in learning about demons. This is because they are the beings that I seek to destroy. This one in particular is one that I have been hunting for some time now." His steel claws scrape together inside his sleeve, as he holds his gaze.
Drezmir stares at Corvus for a moment, holding eye contact before saying, "I saw that burst of power you had while fighting the dragon..." He pauses, considering whether or not he should take this conversation elsewhere. Perhaps it doesn't matter whether or not the others hear... Rex already saw his ...other form, so it likely doesn't matter if Arthur and his other companions hear as well.
Letting out a breath, he says, "I know you are pulling power from the Kitsune. I recognized the energy from your attack...its...like what I did when." He shakes his head, "You know." He lifts his wrist--the one that previously had borne a black band, which was replaced by the snowflake. Letting his hand fall to his side he continues, "I don't think you understand what you are tampering with. It wants someone to draw from its power. It wants to so that it can use you." He emphasizes this, hoping to get his point across. "And... you took some of my blood didn't you. Your little dragon took it, when I thought it was just licking my wounds. It was stealing it for you to use." His voice grows harder as he finds himself growing angry, "I don't appreciate being the subject of whatever little science project you think you're doing. I told you then that my blood is dangerous, and I'll say it again. Don't tap into that power. It will lead to nothing but your own undoing." He clenches his fists, "I don't know if you realized what you were doing when you did it, or if you even care. I've trusted you up to this point and I don't want that to change. But, that doesn't mean I'm alright with you doing whatever you want with my blood, or the Kitsune's power. So I better not see you use it again."
Crossing his arms he adds, "And if you are after this fire demon, I am willing to help you. I happen to be well versed in such subjects... Plus, it seems that woman just made enemies out of all of us, and if she's really in a pact with the demon, it is now my enemy as well."
Lowering his chin he says, "So, I must ask. Do you still have the ability to use the Kitsune's power. Is it through my blood? I know you must have help, so what kind of demon do you have a pact with? Also, if there is an object or substance...my blood for example, that you are using to do this--and you still have some, I must ask you to hand it over. I don't want to risk it being used again."
He stands there, waiting for a response. Still holding eye contact with Corvus.
Jess only half-listens to the others’ discussions as she casts about, looking for Leonard. It doesn’t take her long to realize, not seeing him, noticing the distress of his companions, and then she remembers the icy blast from the dragon, the one that almost finished her off.
Ah, Leonard, you were a good lad. She hadn’t known him for very long, but she recalled the little chat they’d had while resting. He had been a nice young man.
She will approach Leonard’s companions and offer her condolences. She tells them simply,
”Leonard was both brave and kind, and he fought well in my group. I may not be standing here now without the aid he rendered me. I’m sorry for your loss, and I want you to know that his memory will endure in me.”
Corvus chuckles, "Well, it was only a matter of time before you found out i suppose." He continues to hold Drezmir's gaze, un-wavered by his accusations. "Yes, I was pulling from your demon's power, and yes, i was able to do so with your blood. I assure you, I know what I am dealing with." He raises his arms, letting his sleeves fall down to his elbows. "I bear no marks do I? I have said before, I am well equipped to deal with this sort of thing." He crosses his arms, metal claws reflecting the light of the sun, "And I am not using you as a 'science project', I simply figured I would drain what power I could from the kitsune, so I can put it to... better use. Your blood just provided a quick link to the source so to speak." He grins, "We'll see how much it claims to be using me after I've sucked it dry... Heh, who knows, perhaps your god sent me to make your task easier." His red eyes glitter, still fixed on the blood-hunter, "Oh, I cannot tap into it's power again unless you allow me to do so. As for my patron, I assure you he is no demon. To the contrary, he may hate them even more than I do. He himself hunts demons....and he seems to have quite the distaste for foxes, maybe more so than yourself."
Gilded listens to Drez and Corvus, looking back and forth between them as they talk.
"Using demons, being scared of demons, trying to determine which of you is more demon than the other. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"
(OOC: Yes, I quoted the bible... lol seemed an appropriate saying at the moment)

Arthur looks to Sy as the demons enter his bags, the normally kind hearted knight had grabbed Sy by his shirt collar as tears rushed down his cheeks.
"No casualties? So what was Leonard? Nothing?! Huh?!?!"
Rex had placed a hand on Arthur's shoulder as he began to pant breathing heavily his face twisting in a mixture of pain and anger. Sy had corrected himself "Except for him." Something about it had.. Turned Arthur's heart and he wasn't sure how to deal with this swirling emotions. He had let go turning away trying to hide his face not only from Sy's party but from his own. Drezmir had came over and Arthur had shaken lightly to see him but had taken a breath calming down.
"I'm sorry.. About Sy I wasn't going to hit him.. I'm just feeling.. I don't know what I'm feeling honestly. Glazing Winds you say? I think.. We'll head there and see if we can learn anything about this woman. Kirai wanted to find her but honestly.. Now I do too."
Unlike Arthur the elf had kept his arms crossed raising an eyebrow he was gauging the party over trying to get a read on them.
"Kirai.. You seem more well mannered than I had expected. Yes we are part of the same party."
Rex had stood by Kirai looking at Drezmir's hand nervously as Kirai had somewhat reluctantly offered him a handshake. Drezmir had asked who that woman was.
"She.. Is someone who took something important from me. So for that she will pay."
Kocino only see's dust and ash as the false dragon's had begun to deteriorate after the battle. However a few dragon bones were left over from the scene. Arthur,Kirai,Merlyn,Rex had all turned and looked at Jess. Merlyn had finally responded returning from her stupor. She had reached over and offered Jess a hug (if she would accept it.)
"Thank you.. That means a lot to me. Truly."
Arthur had smiled weakly nodding.
"I appreciate that Jess thank you."
Kirai had eyed both Drezmir and Corvus in this talk of demons and power before looking back to the others. Arthur had spoke up with a reasonable tone lacking his usual flair.
"I don't know what's going on.. With Demons but I know whatever Drezmir has I can trust him. I don't know you Corvus but you fought beside Leonard.. And I am grateful for that. You brought Kirai here and helped us when the fight was dire. Should we head to the tavern on top of the mountain? Or should we head to Dawn City?"
"Dawn city may take over a day's journey from here so we'd have to camp outside or march rather doggedly."
As they all spoke Rex had simply hid behind Arthur and Kirai avoiding eye contact with any of the adventurers.

"My demon? The fox isn't my demon. It is my enemy yes, but I hold no power over it. ...and it holds no power over me," Drezmir says curtly. "Just because you bear no physical marks doesn't mean that you aren't giving the fox what it wants. Nor does it mean you know what it is you are messing with." He takes a step closer to the warlock, "And if you really aren't using me as some sort of experiment, why didn't you just ask permission? If you think for one moment that I would willingly let you tap into its power again...assuming you are telling the truth on that matter, then why didn't you simply tell me what you were doing from the beginning instead of lying about your familiar?"At the mention of Fulgur, he grew suddenly more angry, "Really? As if I would believe that. Why would I when the fox itself is happy about your actions? No, Fulgur didn't send you to help me defeat the fox. If anything you could be the cause of its escape!"
Insight: 5
Drez lets out a breath, "I don't want this to become an issue between us. Really, I don't. But you must realize how foolish it is to toy with a power that Fulgur himself had to aid in locking away."
He nods to Gilded, "Words of wisdom. It seems you, Corvus, like to tamper with powers you wish you had for yourself. I don't want that power, but I also know it isn't something mortals can handle." He lifts his arms, "This portion that flows within me is not the fox's power, it is mine." He hesitates, realizing that he hadn't exactly told anyone aside from Gwen what was used during the ritual, perhaps it would be better to keep it that way for now. ...Though it was likely that Corvus had figured it out already.
(Before the conversation with Corvus... I missed Shields post lol)
Drezmir nods to Kirai, "Well met... even if these aren't the best circumstances." He looks to Arthur, "Well, I for one want to get to the bottom of this as well. I'll help in that search however I can."
He pauses at the mention of heading straight to Dawn, "Well... we do still have those bandits tied up back where we left them. We should probably take them to the tavern...unless there is something else you want to do with them."
He takes note of Rex hiding, hoping the young man is alright. Still, there isn't much he can do or say to make the situation any better, so he doesn't approach him, not yet anyways.
Arthur had smiled a bit more lightly to Drezmir he was surprised Drezmir wasn't angry that he had gotten upset with Sy beforehand. Arthur had slapped his own forehead with a weak chuckle.
"I forgot yeah we should bring those guys up huh? I guess we'll stay at the tavern tonight than."
OOC Is Drezmir in-sighting Corvus or something/someone else?
Sorry it's short I'm just not sure what else they would say at this moment lol
(OOC: Yeah, it was a check to see if Corvus is lying about not being able to tap into the Kitsune's power without permission from Drez. The statement sounded fishy to him, and he a bit suspicious since Corvus clearly lied about the blood while they were in the manor. ...I'm not entirely sure what Corvus's persuasion check was for though. I'm really relying more on RP here since nothing Corvus said about Fulgur, Corvus's ability to control the power, or his claim that this wasn't a science project, sounds sensical or reasonable to Drez. lol.)
OOC I understand that, persuasion is a useful skill but I also feel that it's gotta hold some water with that character for it to be a sound argument and with Drez's backstory I'd understand the red flags/alarms could be for everyone in the party to hear his side too though not just Drez
(Oops sorry i should have specified that better. He's mostly just trying to get Drezmir to believe that he knows how to deal with demons and such. He himself also believes that he can deal with it, (for several reasons) so that is why i used persuasion and not deception.)
