Walking in the direction of the cave, his mind is filled with thoughts. The same thoughts that have haunted him his whole life after his life of crime. The flashbacks, the memories. He definitely doesn’t want anyone to learn further about his past.
Vex continues walking at a slow pace for a while, as he is not in a rush. He makes his glaive make a path in the dirt leading where he went, knowing he will polish it once he arrives at the cave.
Drez follows the group silently, feeling like he somehow did something wrong. He walks at the back of the group, unsure if he really wants to see the giant’s lair.
She looks to Corvus who had almost perished and Sloden with strange markings. Gilded had investigated the Giants but only found loincloths and large clubs that were surely tree's before. Drez can feel a burning in his blood.. Was it the mutations? Flashes of a beast with snarling teeth hit him for a moment before vanishing.
@Corvus
Corvus is able to hear the voice of his pact maker while awake this time.
"Corvus.. I sense something strange with the one you call Drezmir. Almost as if I sense "Kin" within him. He is no warlock yes? And yet.. Corvus we must watch our tools carefully. Keep an eye on that man We can use him as a scape goat however. Do not allow the Dragon Born Paladin to know the truth of our pact Corvus... But you already cunning enough to know this."
Only Corvus could hear these words of warning. Gilded seemed lost in thought of his comrades and Vex? Vex was kind as usual. In fact his attitude had brought a smile to Gwyn's face. Jess had come back which relieved Gwyn.
"Hey Jess! Wait up! I wanted to tell you.. Thank you for that spell of light.. What was it? Whatever it was.. It helped me to strike firm and true and land.. A blow I don't think I would have alone. Thank you for watching our backs Jess!"
Gwyn walks beside Jess as whoever is willing to follow comes. She looks back at Vex.
"And thank you for always being so cheery! I've still got questions for you and Drez when we get back though! Sloden too! ..Jeez you guys make me sound crazy trying to ask so many questions!"
Gwyn looks back to Kocino with a slight giggle.
"Why did you throw him candy in the middle of the battlefield?"
As they wander through it appears there are no enemies or creatures to be found really. Behind the wagon in the cave? Appears to be nothing but bones. The wagon's tarp is covering much but it appears there may be something in the wagon itself.
"If you guys want.. I can head to the Wagon first. Just in case it's trapped. Though Hill Giants aren't usually smart enough for that sorta thing huh?"
OOC: So for the EXP it's 751 all together for everybody. I can do that for you guys though ^^
Kocino puts his hand on Gwyn’s shoulder. “My friend there are two absolute truths in this world. Everyone needs a pick-me-up sometimes. And… everyone likes candy.” He gives her a wink and hops up onto the wagon to uncover it’s contents.
Drezmir flinches, eyes narrowing for a moment before he returns to his earlier demeanor. Trying to shove aside the feeling that he just lost everyone’s trust, he turns to Gwyn, “I’ll accompany you. Two sets of eyes are better than one right?”
He steps up to the wagon with Gwyn,
Perception: 9 (ok, this is just ridiculous. Another nine!!! This is my real curse lol.)
(Back in time for a moment. Going to make sure this doesn't mess with what's already happened.)
"I think I need to recover a bit before I take fight again." He answers Vex, "I'm sure Jess will be fine. She is a strong one."
(Back to present time)
"The candy was good. I'd like to know what was in it. It definitely helped me land my last blow to the beast." He replies to Kocino.
Listening to the voice in his head, he looks back at Drezmir, "Kin you say? So this one has been touched by fiends or demons as well. Interesting. And yes, the mere fact that he is a Paladin tells me to hide the truth from him..." He looks to Vex, "This dragonborn interests me as well. I don't suppose you know anything about him or that glaive he carries?" He doesn't really expect an answer to these questions, but he thought he'd ask anyway. He will watch his new companions carefully. Drezmir, Vex, and Sloden, all three of them had sparked his interest. "Yes, I will watch them, and learn all I can from them."
When Jess returns, he follows her and the others to the cave. Once there he starts looking around.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gwen wrinkles her nose a little at Kocino's statement but she can't help but hold back laughter at this strange man's idea of candy. Gwen looks to Drezmir and smiles softly.
"But of course, I'll watch you're back if you watch mine."
8 Gwyn's search with Drez
The voice in Corvus grows silent as he ponders about Vex. "Hmm, strange that one, he possesses the qualities of a paladin and yet.. Somehow lacking. Still he is one I'm sure won't stand in our way.
Drez is fumbling a bit through the wagon and Gwyn can't help but offer a playful chuckle before Corvus comes in looking around. Corvus is able to find a few separate pouches all together he seems to find 50 gold pieces! As well as another letter, this letter doesn't appear to have been for the Giants however. More so for the traders, with the same symbol it seems to warn Merchants of the Hill Giants! Though sadly the letter did them no good it would seem. These Merchants seem to have been aware of Simon's ploy with the goblins and the Jet brothers. Well that is to say that once again Simon's name is not on the paper only the nobles symbol. There was also a set of Splint Mail armor in the wagon! A well sharpened dagger (Dagger+1.) A greater potion of healing. A set of Studded Leather armor as well as some Breast Plate Medium armor. It appeared to be quite the haul! There was plenty of food and spices to help turn things around as requested as well as materials but they seem to be eaten.. Even the materials. Perhaps the Hill Giants couldn't tell them apart.
"They tried to warn the merchants? This could have turned things around back at Glazing Wind.. Still at least all the outside threats have been quelled. You guys wanna take a small rest before we head back?"
OOC: Loot: Dagger+1
Studded Leather armor Breast Plate (Medium Armor) Splint Mail: (One AC better than Chain Mail)
Gwen's chuckles pull Drezmir back to reality when he realizes he's doing nothing but fumbling around without really seeing what he was looking at. He offers a smile, though his thoughts slowly drift back to the white haired beast and its blazing green eyes. Shaking his head, he pushes those images away. Now was not the time to think about that. He would deal with it when he was strong enough.
His eyes drift over the loot, hesitant to even think about taking any of it. Shouldn't it go back to the village. Still, it would be nice to have some better armor...his eyes drift to the splint mail. No, he'll wait and see what the others want to do with the items. It feels wrong to simply take the plunder.
(Splint mail is medium armor right? I won't take it if someone else wants it, and Drezmir probably won't ask for it unless someone offers to let him pick something.)
"So it seems, but I will keep an eye on him nonetheless." Corvus replies to the voice.
Corvus pockets the gold. He also picks up the potion. He'll hold on to that, he might need it, and if one of his allies falls, he would be able to get it to them faster than anyone else. He gathering the dagger and the armor, he comes out of the wagon. "This is what I've found. I have no use for any of this," He sees Drezmir eyeing the armor, "Here, take it." He puts the rest of the loot on the ground so the others can examine it, then holds the Splint mail out to Drezmir. Once he does this, he counts the gold that he found. Seeing that it won't split evenly between the eight of them, he says nothing keeping 8 for himself and giving 6 to everyone else.
(Sorry if this seems selfish, just trying to stay in character. Hopefully he's not always the first to find things.)
Walking in the direction of the cave, his mind is filled with thoughts. The same thoughts that have haunted him his whole life after his life of crime. The flashbacks, the memories. He definitely doesn’t want anyone to learn further about his past.
Gilded follows as well. " lead the way, we are with you."
Vex continues walking at a slow pace for a while, as he is not in a rush. He makes his glaive make a path in the dirt leading where he went, knowing he will polish it once he arrives at the cave.
With the battle finished, Kocino walks over to Corvus. “How was the candy? I have tried those ones yet?”
Kocino follows Jess and the others to the cave.
Drez follows the group silently, feeling like he somehow did something wrong. He walks at the back of the group, unsure if he really wants to see the giant’s lair.
Gwen looks to Gilded looking upon Drez and Vex.

Jess looks at the corpses impassively. By now she has regained full control of herself. she says,
“Regardless of their connections to some higher plot, we have done a good deed today by ridding the world of those monsters.”
She will give Gwen the go-ahead to remove the wagon covering.
Gwen removes the covering but it doesn't seem to be anymore than what Corvus was already able to find.
"I agree Jess. People can find more peace on the roads. So are we resting before we head back? I know a lot of us look to be in rough shape."

"I will rest if everyone else wants to, I'm sure some of you are worse off then I am," Drez says wearily.
”I wouldn’t be opposed to taking a breather.” Kocino looks over the items, but doesn’t grab anything.
He begins to look around for any edible plants.
