Edermath Orchard:Nemean will approaches Daran Eldermath’s residence first and seeks an audience with him. He tells Duran of the necromancer “I do not trust this creep... he has done very little to assure us of his intentions, but he was not aggressive or hostile with us, just secretive. Do you think we have reason to worry?”
Townmaster's Hall: Nemean triumphantly struts into the great room of the Townmaster Hall. He marches up to Harbin and informs him that the orcs have been cleared from Wyvren Tor. “We made quick work of those smelly brutes” he says arrogantly as he examines his claws and grooms them a bit.
Tovar accompanies Nemean, not wanting to leave the boastful fighter alone, also wishing to get acquaintanced with the locals, which would be made easier if he did not wander alone.
He politely greets everyone and introduces himself, if the introductions are not done by Nemean.
When in Edermath Orchard, Tovar chimes in: "I agree with my friend, trusting necromancers is not usually the best move to make, however, unless he tries anything that can be perceived as a clear threat to this place, I am inclined to let him be to his devices. I will not refuse the call to rid this place of him, however, if you so desire".
When in Townmaster's Hall, Tovar remains silent, simply saying his hellos, satisfied to let Nemean to handle the talking.
After these locations are visited, he asks Nemean to accompany him to the Shrine of Luck. Tovar is extremely interested in any place where he can procure some new knowledge, and temples, even if very modest ones, tend to have either books or people who can have valuable information on the matters of magic and the arcane.
Edermath Orchard is on the north end of town, where you arrived, and a quick jaunt brings you to the simple cottage that Daran Edermath calls home. The old but spry half-elf is more than happy to receive you as guests this evening, bringing you inside, where a small fireplace is doing more than enough to fight off the slight chill outside.
"It is my pleasure, Tovar," Daran greets the newcomer as introductions are made, "You are certainly more amiable than the previous tiefling of the Phandalin Four." He winks, then digests the information as it is given. "A necromancer...while I cannot say I abide by his school of choice, but what you say about his lack of aggression does line up with the reports. All that we have heard is that undead have been seen near Old Owl Well, there are no reports of anybody being attacked by them along the road. I will inform the Order and they will keep a close eye on the area until the man leaves. Thank you all for investigating for me. My orchard is open to you any time. Give Toblen my best should you head that way," he says, shaking your hands.
"Oh, and Fayten. Would you mind a quick conversation before you go?" he asks as the group begins to leave.

The Townmaster's Hall is just south of the Town Green, where many children can be seen playing as their parents finish their daily chores about town. The sight of the friendly tabaxi quickly draws a crowd of children begging to hear stories of the party's heroics. "We heard a banshee tried to kill you but you're friends with her now! Did you find Mr. Rockseeker? I bet you fought a bunch of goblins!"
The bulbous, pompous townmaster Harbin Wester is in conversation with Sildar Hallwinter when you arrive. Sildar's beaming smile contrasts a twitchy nervousness in Harbin's eyes at the sight of the group. "But you bring no proof! You cannot simply walk in telling me you have slain all of the orcs at Wyvern Tor and expect me to--" he blubbers. "Harbin," Sildar cuts him off, "Need I remind you that these men saved your town and your ass from the Redbrands? They have done more for their honor today than you have for yours this year. If they say the orcs are gone, they are gone. Pay them."
"Fine," Harbin blusters and waddles behind a desk, opening drawers. "Tell me, friends. Have you had any luck in locating Cragmaw Castle? I fear Gundren's time may be running short," Sildar asks. Harbin returns with the reward, handing it to the group.

At the north side of the Town Green lies the Shrine of Luck. Sister Garaele closes a book when you enter and warmly greets you. "Welcome back. Is there something I can help you with, or have you come to make a donation to lady Tymora?" the zealous young elf asks.
OOC: Each character has received 50 XP for parleying with the wizard at Old Owl Well and reporting back to Daran Edermath. Each character has received 25 gold pieces for reporting the slain orcs to Harbin Wester.
Fayten wanders into town with the group looking at the places he can grab a few needed supplies. He follows Nemean and Tovar into Edermath Orchard. He is happy they were able to give information to Daran about the wizard and starts to leave with the group when he hears his name and stops ..."Sure, I was just heading to buy supplies but the stores will be there when well after we are done talking. What can I do for you?"
"I won't keep you too long," Daran says, "So I will get right to the point. The Order of the Gauntlet is sparse in this area, and my best days are behind me. There is only so much I can do for the Order from my orchard, and we need adventurers like yourself who exemplify honor and vigilance. You've proven yourself capable of surviving while upholding these tenets, and so I would like to extend you the invitation to join us."
OOC: How does the group respond to Sildar and Garaele? What's next?
Edermath Orchard: Nemean nods after listening to Daran Eldermath explain that they will be keeping a close eye on the necromancer, and felt some relief that they decided against a more aggressive course of action. "Thank you my friend!" says Nemean as he helps himself to a handful of fruits from the Eldermath orchard. "Please seek us out if you ever have need of our services, the Phandalin Four are happy to assist a great much such as yourself!" he takes a bite of fruit and starts off before turning around, "Oh, and Daran, do please let us know if you hear anything of the Black Spider or Cragmaw castle, we've not had much luck yet in locating our friend Gundren." He looked curiously as Fayten went to speak with Daran, but continued on.
Townmaster's Hall: Nemean stops his braggadocio and turns more solemnly to Sildar after the conversation turns to Gundren, "Alas, as of now we still have no leads on the location of Cragmaw castle, but we have thoroughly searched the areas to the east of Phandalin and have seen no signs of the Black Spider or their goons. We will continue to ask around town, but if we cannot find any leads we will likely venture north along the high road towards Thundertree, as we have some unfinished business there anyway. However, first we will pay a visit over to Alderleaf farms to speak with Qelline. You said she had contacts who knew the area, yes?"
Shrine of Luck: Nemean greets Garaele warmly and then tosses 25sp into the donation plate. He introduces his new companions to her and assures her that they can be trusted. "Tovar here is now traveling with us, and he is very interested on where he can find more information and books on the Arcane, we thought you might be able to help guide us. Also, we have explored east of Phandalin for our friend Gundren, but have no leads as to his location. We wanted to ask if you and your associates had any information on him, the Black Spider, or Cragmaw castle, and to offer our services if you have any need of them."
Qelline Alderleaf:At Sildar's suggestion Nemean will also take the group to Qelline Alderleaf's farm. He explains to the new members of the group how they first met when looking for the Redbrand's hidden entrance to their hide out, and how Qelline's son Carp helped them locate the entrance. "...so as I see it, we owe the Alderleaf family a thank you for helping with the Redbrands, while we are there we can ask them about the area, Sildar seems to think they know these parts well, so maybe they can help point us in the right direction. If the Alderleafs arean't much help, then I say we travel North. Mirna Dendrar said she has a shop there and that she would reward us for saving her and her son from the Redbrands. Could be some clues about Cragmaw along the way."

Edermath Orchard:Fayten staid to discuss things with Daran before moving back into town to purchase a few supplies.
Barthen's Provisions: Fayten will wander in and purchase 4 days of rations (2 gp), 1 bag of Caltrips (20 for 1 gp). He gets Elmar's attention .."You wouldn't know where I could find Studded Leather to purchase do you? I could use better armor as I support the four. Are you able to help with that?"
Shrine of Luck:Fayten will spend a good deal of time here will donate 2gp to the shrine. This is his home away from home. He finds Nemean speaking with Garaele and listens with great interest.
Tresendar Manor: Fayten is proud of his association with the group that liberated the manor from the Redbrands and visits with Droop, the goblin. He donates 1 gp to the maintenance of the manor and hopes they can one day turn it into something worthwhile. Fayten speaks with Droop, "I encourage your work here at the manor and hope this helps with the upkeep. Do you have any information on the location of Cragmaw Castle? We still need to help some friends of my companions who seem to be in trouble and we need to locate this mysterious castle if possible. Thanks again."
"I am pleased to hear it. You are now a Chevall of the Order of the Gauntlet. Nothing is required of you for now, aside from continuing to act with honor. Please execute your search for Cragmaw Castle without restraint, and then check in with me. I wish you the best of luck," Daran says.
At the Townmaster's Hall, Sildar wearily rubs his eyes at Nemean's news. "Damn. I have turned up nothing myself. It's as if goblins have suddenly forgotten to harass innocent travelers. It sounds like Qelline is our only lead, then. She mentioned a friend of hers that is very familiar with this area. Let me know what you discover, friends," he says.

At the Shrine of Luck, Sister Garaele says, "Welcome, Tovar. I'm afraid there isn't much on the Arcane to be found in this little mining town, but I will soon be traveling to the city of Iriaebor to search for lost books of the Arcane myself. Perhaps when your business here is finished you could join a caravan going east, or north to Neverwinter. That city is still growing, but who knows what Arcane knowledge still lies buried in the former ruins? As for Gundren, alas, it may be some time before I hear from my contacts in the Harpers, but I have sent the message, and if any answers are to be had about this Cragmaw Castle, I will share it freely. Thank you very much for your donations. May Tymora smile upon you."

At Tresendar Manor, Fayten finds Droop rummaging through barrels in the cellar storeroom. The goblin lets out a startled cry. "Oh, Droop thought you was bugbear coming to get him. Still no to finding Cragmaw Castle? Droop knows that it is to north," he says, pointing up to the ceiling. "But Droop still does not remember how to get there. If you find goblin patrol outside town by woods, they will know!" he finishes.

At Barthen's Provisions, Elmar Barthen is running the store as usual. "Ander, fetch me four days' rations and a bag of caltrops, please," he directs. "Linene will be able to fit you for studded leather over at the Lionshield Coster. Has there been any news of Gundren's whereabouts?" he asks Fayten. "His brothers still have not been back to restock, and I fear they may be in similarly dire straits."

The Alderleaf Farm is hard to miss, as it is the only large stead in Phandalin proper. Qelline and her son cannot be seen in the field today, but the unmistakable smell of biscuits cooking comes from an open window in front of the quaint farmhouse.
OOC: 25 sp has been removed from Nemean's inventory. Fayten, I see that the rations and caltrops are in your inventory, so I left your coinage as is. Let me know if that's not correct.
OOC: I removed coin for all of my donations and for the rations and caltrops.
Barthen's Provisions: Fayten finishes paying for his supplies and gets directions to the Lionshield Coster. "Thanks again Elmar, as always you are a great help."
Lionshield Coster: Fayten enters the nice hardwood door to the Coster and looks around. It is an impressive establishment. He asks for Linene and is directed to the proprietor. Fayten explains .."I was just having a pleasant visit with Mr Barthen and when he heard that I was in need of a better set of leathers for armor he sent me to you. Do you have or can you make a fitted set of Studded Leather armor for me? I would be grateful and I should have more than enough to make it worth your while."
Once Fayten concludes his business with Linene he will look for the others and make his to the Stonehill Inn to find lodging for the night.
"Hello Alderleafs!" says Nemean loudly as he approaches the residence. He keeps a close eye out for Qelline "Can you spare a few minutes for your favorite curious cat?"

Shrine of Luck: Tovar Greets Sister Garaele: "I understand, sister, I was never hoping for a grandiose library but was vary of not attempting to visit regardless. If I may receive your blessing, that would be enough for now. As for your advice, I will indeed take it and, when fortune so decides, go to Neverwinter".
Tovar will donate 3 GP to the shrine as well.
Barthen's Provisions: This is Tovar's next destination, where he will stock up on the supplies for the coming adventures, namely:
6 days' worth of provisions for 3 GP;
50 feet of Hempen Rope for 1 GP;
Fishing tackle (which he assumes includes all the necessary gear for fishing) for 1 GP;
A Grappling hook for 2 GP;
A bag of caltrops for 1 GP;
5 flasks of oil for 5 SP;
Some soap for 2 CP;
A Tinderbox for 5 SP;
3 pieces of chalk and 3 pieces of candle for 6 CP total;
A 1 ounce bottle of ink for 10 GP;
An inkpen for 2 CP;
5 pages of paper for 1 GP;
a mess kit for 2 SP;
A pouch for 5 SP;
Some sealing wax for 5 SP;
A waterskin for 2 SP.
And a lamp for 5 SP.
OOC: In total, Tovar has spent the 25 GP, which I will retract from his sheet, as well as adding in the provisions he has bought. This took some serious accounting, BTW :D
And yes, I know he already had the ink and the inkpen, but just as I am forgetful, so is Tovar, so I will leave the transaction unchanged, Tovar will now have double the ink than he thought he would have :D
Hanging above the door of the Lionshield Coster is a sign shaped like a wooden shield with a blue lion painted on it. The modest trading post has a small supply of arms and armor in the back, and Linene, the comely human woman who runs the place, introduces herself to Fayten. "Our supply is not great. I'm afraid we've been hit hard by banditry of late. Thought it would end when the Redbrands were run out of town, but no such luck. But for you, sir," she says with a wink, "for any member of the Phandalin Four, I'd sell my last stock. Glasstaff was a menace, and we're all breathing easier now that he's dead."

At the Shrine of Luck, Sister Garaele thanks Tovar graciously for his donation.

The door to Alderleaf Farm opens slowly, revealing a middle-aged halfling woman stirring something inside of a pot held at her side. "Oh! Of course, of course, I was just making lunch. Please, come in and join us. Surely you aren't just stopping by to say hello. Let us chat over biscuits and stew," she says.
OOC: Fayten, Nemean and Tovar would all gain Inspiration for great in-character roleplaying in town, but Fayten and Nemean already have it, so Tovar gains Inspiration. Keep in mind that using Inspiration to grant Advantage to an ability check, saving throw, or attack roll must be called out before the roll is made.
Studded Leather has been added to Fayten's inventory and 45 gp have been removed. Tovar's inventory is taken care of.
Nemean gladly takes her up on the offer. "Oh I would love to have some delicious biscuits and stew, thank you so much Mrs Alderleaf!"
offer He explained the sad tale Gundren and how he has gone missing and of the Black Spider and Cragmaw Castle. He also rambled on about the creepy wizard, the orcs, and banshee at length as he ate with the Alderleafs. "So my friend, Sildar told me that you know the area well and that you have a friend who knows even more and might be able to help, is this so?"

Tovar does require quite a bit of time to put his new purchases in their respective places. He gets a bit cranky when he finds that he spent 10 GP for ink, as he already had some, but he thinks it would be too awkward to return the ink, so he keeps it all, deciding to find some use for the excess ink.
Since he does not have any additional destinations in mind, Tovar tries to rejoin the party, or, at least, those who are nearest to him.
Fayten is pleased with his new, high quality leather armor. He examines himself in a window as he leaves and finds the look dashing. He then heads back into town and meets up with Tovar who was looking for the others. They make their way to the inn in hopes of finding them.
"Oh, yes deary, Sildar told me you might be stopping by," Qelline says, dashing about her kitchen to set plates. "That would be Reidoth, he's a quiet sort, likes his woods and wilderness, but he's a sweetheart and an old friend of mine and I'd wager there's nothing this side of the Neverwinter Wood that he doesn't know about. Last I heard from him he was heading to Thundertree. Have you heard of the place? A dreadful sight it is, but he loves it there. Carp, come get your dinner! One of those adventurers you helped out has joined us for stew!" she finishes, shouting for her son. The young halfling bounds toward the kitchen excitedly, asking nonstop questions about Nemean's recent escapades.

Fayten and Tovar spot each other near the Stonehill Inn, where a half dozen locals are drinking mugs of ale when they walk in. The kindly, mustached man tending the bar lets out a shout. "Well if it ain't the newest members of the Phandalin Four, everyone!" The locals let out a genuine cheer. "Have a seat. Glad to see you're still aboard the team, Fayten. Word travels fast, you know," he winks at Tovar, "The name's Toblen Stonehill. Room and board is on the house tonight. You boys are good for business. Sit back, drink, and tell us some tales."
Indeed, the sight of the group heading to the inn has already started to draw a small number of townsfolk in, and those already in the tavern are moving closer to hear of the new members.
"Why hello my little friend!" Nemean delights in telling the small children wild tales of his travels along the sword coast, and of his homeland across the sea in Maxtica.
As he dines with the Alderleafs he asks, "Thundertree you say? No I've never been, but I do have some business I need to attend to up that way, its with Mirna Dendrar and her family's shop. You say its dreadful, hows that? Oh and I would love to speak with your friend Reidoth, I fear we are running out of time for our poor Gundren! How can I find him?"
"...it was at that point I took a strong magic grasp of the huge Orc, and the others finished him off. Tovar here is a natural. He carries a powerful magic with him when he travels. Yes we understood the dangers but we are committed to service of the populace." Fayten doesn't usually tend towards boasting but the free drinks and the lively crowd has loosened his tongue. Deep in his mind he realizes he should be more in control but, like anyone, Fayten likes to be thought of as wise and powerful even if the truth is somewhere between there and his current almost drunken state. Still he is enjoying this evening at the Inn and the people of the village very much.
"I'm afraid Thundertree lies mostly in ruins," Qelline answers. "Its people were forced to flee when Mount Hotenow exploded. Reidoth spends a lot of his time there keeping an eye on the situation. He's not one to be held down in one place for long, so I'm afraid I don't know exactly where you can find him, but I'm sure you'll find him somewhere in Thundertree. And thank you, for helping Mirna and her family. Absolutely dreadful, what the Redbrands did to them."

The inn is nearly full of people now, reveling in the stories Fayten is telling. "You're going to run me dry!" Toblen jokes with a smile across his face as he and his barmaid rush to keep up with the demand.

Lot's of stuff ...

Lot's of stuff ...
