As Famh paces quietly at Cainneach's side, her thoughts flicker strangely back and forth between the present and past; just as her awareness is split between the mundane world and the land of Faerie. Memories come spilling back of all the other times she has fought beside her beloved and her friends. She is still far from understanding the strange gifts her fey blood have bestowed on her; but she understands them better than she did in Hobs' Dell, and by the time Cainneach takes his first shot she has remembered another glamour that might be useful. She smiles as his arrow disappears into the darkness, and a moment later her sharp ears pick up the sound of a solid hit. "Oh, weel struck, leannan! I canna see if 'twas the lavallan or the goat, but I heard your arrow strike something." She takes a deep breath to focus, and feels a wellspring of power begin to flow through her mind and body in response. "Aye, I'll need to be closer for the fire, and that will help everyone. But there was another glamour I used in Hobs' Dell, I'm remembering now, and that one should be able to reach frae here." Her voice soars into a brief, strange-sounding chant in Old Thulish, then she snaps her hand towards the lavallan and flings an undulating, warbling ball of energy at its head. That done, she nods in satisfaction and walks forward with Cainneachuntil they are close enough for her to summon the magic fire,

Feeling restored by Sir Almeric’s earlier touch and getting a basic understanding of the plan and a general idea of what made him sick earlier, Thatch takes his dried sprig of primrose and wraps it in a cloth around his mouth and nose as a makeshift mask. "Ready, Ser" he responds in a muffled voice to Almeric, the faint scent of primrose in his face. He grabs his bow and takes a deep breath, holds it, and moves forward 20 feet to close the range and releases an arrow, before dashing back out of range. He repeats this skirmisher tactic as Sir Almeric and the others move forward.

Ori, still feeling the effects of the poison decides his aim is going to be too far off for trying to launch a javin or a handaxe when close enough. No Ori needed this to be a more personal and up close. Ori goes on a full out sprint in the creatures general direction, half closing his eyes and looking down as he runs (dashing moving 60' round one).
Round 2 if the creature is now within 30':
Ori will continue to run up to the creature and glancing slightly to know where it is, trying to keep his gaze mostly averted away from the creature. Starting to yell out as he narrows the distance (BA Rage). Ori will start swinging the big club in wide arcs violently (reckless attacking so melee attacks are at advantage against Ori)
Attack: (disadvantage by poison and sight, advantage by reckless attacking, so normally rolls) 19 Damage 7 bludgeoning plus 3 piercing
Round 2 if creature is not within 30 feet
Ori will continue to run up to the creature and glancing slightly to know where it is, trying to keep his gaze mostly averted away from the creature. Starting to yell out as he narrows the distance (BA Rage, movement 30').
Ori will pull out one of his hand axes and hurl it at the creature.

Almeric, Vardi and Ori get ready and charge at the creature, each averting their eyes or otherwise trying to avoid the affects of its presence, it rears up atop the goat corpse in a threat display but this just means that both Cainneach and Thatchs shafts find their mark easily, Famhs bolt of sorcery scours a crackling furrow in the dead goat. Almerics sword cuts through its body and Oris club sends one of the bisected halves flying.
( All make a DC 14 ( for those in melee) or DC 10 ( for those at range) Save or take 6 Poison Damage.)
Vardi gathers her wits after checking Skoggi shows no signs of harm (At least no harm other than to his pride!), replies "Aye Ser." then pulls her cloak over the lower half of her face and elects to run full tilt towards trouble until she can reach it.
OOC:
Round 1 Dash 60 feet, towards last seen location of target. Check once on way over the rim of her shield that it hasn't moved, and keeping her shield in front of her otherwise.
Round 2 Move 30 feet as above. Check for target location and throw dagger at it. Attack 4 total with disadvantage. Damage if it hits 7 total. Keep shield between her and target, keep lantern beam aimed at it as best she can from one glance.

Famh gulps, trying to stop her head from spinning. For the moment she is not quite sure what has happened in the battle. She can hear Cainneach beside her, and Vardi in the front lines, beginning to sound more like themselves; and this gives her hope that the retinue has dispatched their foe. But Ori still sounds as sick as she feels; and she fears the creature has made them all delirious and she is beginning to hallucinate. In her light-headed confusion she begins to wonder if it was the goat that she saw neatly bisected by Sir Almeric's sword just in time for Ori to knock its head to the roadside, and not the lavallan ...
She gulps again at the thought of that head. If it WAS the lavallan she and her companions just killed, she has a sinking feeling that ...by remembering the tales of how to cure its venom ... she has also volunteered to be the one to do the cooking. With a resigned sigh, she begins looking about her as her wits clear, hoping to see some aromatic herbs she could use to reduce the foul stench and taste. But her earlier conversation with Cainneach is also beginning to creep back into her mind. If the creature had a lair nearby, she still fears it may have a mate or a litter of pups far too close for comfort. And that thought makes her grit her teeth and force herself back to full watchfulness.

Feeling slightly reassured that at least a second battle is not immediately impending, Famh turns to check on Cainneach. She is still more relieved to see that her first guess was right and he is looking no sicker than he had before they started their maneuvers. "Are ye a' right now, a ghraid?," she asks tenderly. "Did we stop that foul breath that was making us ill? Thatchsounds like he's recovering a bit o' his humour too, so I'd hope ... " She stops and looks about at the rest of the retinue. Then she sighs.

I'll give ye an extra sweetener for your portion if ye do ... in advance ... Vardi, still poised to leap and stamp if any corpse (Or any part of one.) so much as twitches, plays the lantern's light over the remains for a long moment in silence, listening intently, then more calmly, seeks further beyond the shambles for where her dagger finally landed.

"Alright, which ones of you all are still feeling like you got sludge running through you veins as I do?"

Taking the deepest breath of her life, she walks over to what remains of the lavallan. She is just about to draw out her sgeain dubh and dearg to begin the unavoidable butchery, when she remembers that she has another tool available to her. She sets the shorter blade down, draws out the needle from her collar, and says softly, "Snàthad." Once more she is filled with quiet wonder as the thin sliver of steel suddenly grows into a second dearg, far sharper than her old one. Setting to work with these two long blades, and holding her breath as much as possible, she does her best to neatly separate head from body. She blesses Thatch's practical turn of mind as she remembers seeing the outlines of a cooking pot bulging out his pack those times she has been posted behind him in the order of march. With the borrowed pot in hand, and a final glance about the area to see if she can find something to make the stuff taste a little better, she kindles a small fire and sets about preparing the remedy for sludge.

"I don't feel any worse than I did, but I certainly don't feel much better yet. I don't think I'll be looking to get that arrow back, either. No one would appreciate me carrying the stench of that creature with me." The forester's cheeks flush at Famh's affectionate gesture and he returns it in full, while placing his hand tenderly on her cheek. "Leannan, I'd happily tread the most dire swamps to find what you need!" Cainneach gives her a weak smile and a little bow as he gathers his strength and turns to Thatch.
"Aye, Thatch, let's see what we can see." Cainneach lights a torch, now that whatever stealth they'd carried had been cast away, and hunts for herbs and gnarled beasts in the night. "Salt, come on boy. Let's put that nose of yours to work."
