Again, the party attacks. Nikolaiand Lennstrike Strange Man 2, dealing still more damage. The man is a mess of blood and wounds, but he still stares at Lennwith hungry, crazed eyes.
Meanwhile, Chara and Eithne strike Strange Man 1, who is also left bloodied and bruised. In answer to Chara'squestion, Strange man 2 shouts, "Life is struggle and pain, little girlie. Come down here and I'll be your teacher!"
Then Bran, straightening, walks toward Strange Man 1 and shouts with seeming mystical force. The berserker's head snaps back from the blow and, when he looks at Branagain, it is as if Branhas transformed into a monster from his nightmares. He screams in rage, fear, and frustration and begins to run in the opposite direction. (Eithne, please take an Attack of Opportunity (again, with Advantage)).
"So you both chose to risk your lives to rob us..."Chara says as she looks down upon the man, now feeling a mixture of pity at the man's plight and lingering anger that these lunatics attacked the party unprovoked. "I'm sorry that you felt this was your only option. Please, just leave now, before..."
She would have said more... except that Bran interrupts her offer of mercy by casting his spell on the Strange Man 1.
.... He screams in rage, fear, and frustration and begins to run in the opposite direction. (Eithne, please take an Attack of Opportunity (again, with Advantage)).

With Joy!
Attack: 21 Damage: 13
Seeing the enemy to be slaughtered turn his back recklessly, the voices scream even more exalted in the savage stranger's mind: 'Chop down the coward on the ruAAARGHn!' 'Strike hWUUAAAard! No mercy!' 'Go for the slaughter Eithneeee!'
But 'Miladeath' needed no encouragement: totally focused on the fight and on her purpose to tear apart the one who dared to threaten one of the best people she has ever known, she was already swinging her greataxe in a mighty slash from above to below, carried over the head, with the full weight of the steel blade and the woman's body behind it, while roaring: "You're not going anywhere!"
Lucian, finding himself a little to close to his opponent decides that he either needs to end it now or...disengage if he can. But...which option should he choose? If he can't finish this guy off... no, he'll just have to disengage. Even if he does manage to end this person...how would he react to that knowledge? How could he cope with taking a life? What if just that triggered the wolf inside him?
Gritting his teeth, he strikes again with the dagger
Attack: 18 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
How is he going to do this? He can't just turn and run lest he give the brute an opening to attack him. Without thinking, he leaps backwards, keeping his dagger out in front of him and his eyes fixed on his opponent. When he hits the ground, he takes a few more steps backwards to steady himself. (I'm thinking this would put him in the square Chara started in.)
Strange Man 2, hooting with joy, swings again at Lenn, striking him in the arm and shoulder, doing 7 hp of slashing damage.
Strange Man 1, who ran away into the woods earlier, comes roaring back out of the bushes aiming for Eithne, who appears lightly armored. Unfortunately for him, she is able to easily dodge his blow and stands ready to strike again soon.
The voices in Eithne's head coalesce into a bestial cacophony of hatred - hatred towards these violent men, like a thousand other violent and bloodthirsty creatures who contribute to making Barovia a nightmarish place.
The savage stranger partly screams the same bestial verses of pure hatred, but also snarls, smugly, a complete sentence, as she dodges with her reflexes enhanced by her focus on the battle the other's blow: "You did well to come back, pathetic greataxe-shaker! The lesson in what it feels like to get mercilessly butchered by someone stronger and meaner than you is not over yet!"
And with that, the last of the dusk elf maidens takes the opponent one step away with a front kick and then unleashes her heavy blade against him in a waist-high slash that the other, unbalanced, receives in full!
Nikolai continues his attack, and another beam of cold blue light streaks outward toward toward Strange Man 2. (Attack roll with adv: 24, colddamage 4).
Seeing Eithne nearly take Strange Man 1's head off, Chara uses her Bonus Action to move her Hex over to Strange Man 2. She then tries to finish this fight with an Eldritch Blast before the remaining man hurts her friends anymore.
Eldritch Blast - Attack: 9 Damage: 12
Hex - 3

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Cole waits for Lenn to finish his attack and then calls out his wildfire spirit. A porcupine made of embers sparks from a pile of underbrush and begins rolling around Cole and Lenn, engulfing them in black smoke. They vanish and appear 15ft away, behind the cart.
Bran starts casting a new spell but is surprised by Cole and Lenn that suddenly teleport next to him. When he turns back to focus on the fight he realizes that both savage men are dead, so the spell dies in his hand, unreleased.
(OOC: Lucian is up for round 4 - of course, if in the meantime the DM has the time to update us about the status of the strange men, maybe both Bran and Lucian will have an easier time deciding their actions)

(I'm pretty sure it was 15 for Guiding Bolt and 3 for Hex originally)
