/OOC Surprise gives means they get no “actions” (Action, Bonus Action, Movement) on their turn, and their Reaction only actives at their initiative, so you basically get a “free turn”.
Sitting on the back of K-9, Chester says to himself, “Well, I guess we’re doing this.” The head of his tinkering hammer ignites and he gives it a swing, hurling a mote of fire at the foremost orc casting fire bolt. He then hops off K-9 sending him up with Muriel, and orders him to attack the foremost bear, if in range.
Action: Casting fire bolt at the first orc in line, Attack: 24Damage: 1 fire. Bonus Action: Commands K-9 to move up to Muriel, and attack the foremost bear, if in range, Attack: 16Damage: 10 force.

The three orcs are riding harnesses attached to the bears and appear to be on some routine task. Surprised by your sudden appearance from the fog you manage to rapidly close the gap and attack. Murial dashes up to the closest pair, preparing herself to strike now she is within range. K-9 hot on her heels waits for Chester to dismount, then joins the fray.
Elegri and Chester follow up with ranged attacks, an arrow striking one of the orcs nearly knocking it off it’s mount, and Chester with a bolt of fire to the bear it is riding.
/OOC Chester; I will assume you were riding K-9 and dismount, 1 fire to M4.
/OOC Murial; Move 40’, then as action dash 40’.
/OOC K-9 is 40’ away with 40’ movement, so as move + action as Dash he can reach M1/M4, so that is his action this round.
/OOC Dagny now gets an attack, then round 2, when Murial, Chester & K-9, Elegri get their attacks of round 2. Since the monsters have had their turn now, they have their reactions, so can make Attacks of Opportunity.
Apologies for the miss-understanding Murial, what I mean is that the monsters now have their Reactions, so that if any of the party move away from them, the monsters get an AoO. Basically a heads up for you. But thats ok anyway, as you have your Round 2 attack “soon”, so I will count the 21 to hit 8 damage as valid for your round 2 attack.

The party press their attacks, killing one orc, the badly hurt bear turning on Murial. The second pair turn on Anima, with the final third pair charging towards Chester and Elegri at the back.
/OOC Round 2, Murial can keep the previous 21 to hit and 8 damage (the “mistaken AoO”),
/OOC K-9 can keep the 16 to hit and 10 damage from last round (the BA you could not take last round, as K-9 had to move+dash).
Murial 21 to hit 8 bludgeoning to M1.
Chester
K-9 (SD) 16 to hit, 10 force to M4
Elegri 12 to hit vs AC 13 vs M1, miss
Monsters
Dagny
Anima

Chester up for round 2 actions.
Dangy, if you are around please roll round 1 & 2 actions (assume Firebolt)
"Oh, I don't like the look of that." Chester says watching two of the mounted orcs charge towards him and Elegri. Reaching into a side pouch, he pulls out some leftover pork rind and holds it between his hands finding an open 10-foot space between them and him; if there isn't one he will move back to create that space. "Oi! Orcs, slip on this." Holding the pork rind over that 10-foot space between his hands, Chester casts grease.
Action: Casts grease on an open 10-foot space between him and the charging Orcs (DC 14 Dex save or fall prone). Movement: Moves back to create an open 10-foot space if there isn't already one.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The Bear slips, slides, scrabbles like it was on ice, all four of it’s legs spread-eagle and it falls flat on it’s belly 10 ft. from you. It scrabbled back upright, but for now appears to be getting it’s footing. The Orc on it’s back leaps off it’s front, but also directly only the middle of the greasy section, slipping and sliding. 18 vs DC14.
The bear manages to stand back up, still slipping and sliding 20 vs DC14.
/OOC Given it’s a 10 ft. square, I assume you would cast it in the middle of the 30’ distance, so if it does fall, it would not fall right in-front of you (and then just get up). The bear slips on the grease after moving 10’ (climb) and falls prone, so then uses 15’ more to get back up, and has 5’ more movement.. right in the middle of the grease, where it then has to save again (at the end of it’s turn, so it cannot reach you).
/OOC The Orc can dismount the bear (half movement) =15’, into the middle of the grease, so it needs to save as well.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The Orc manages to keep it’s feet, and runs forward to the edge of the grease close to you. Seeing it cannot reach you, it pulls it’s Javelin back and throws it directly at Chester; 9 to hit AC? for 7 piercing damage.
The bear stands up for a second.. then falls flat on it’s face again.
/OOC Orc used 15’ move to dismount, so has 15’ left. On difficult terrain it can move 5’ (round down), so is now out of the Grease, but still 10’ from you.
/OOC The bear failed again, so goes straight down again, 15’ from you (5’ of grease).
/OOC Dagny: Initiative 7
Encounter 2, Round 1
Murial, Chester/K-9, Elegri, please take your actions.
/OOC They are surprised, so have no reaction (yet). They are 30’ from Murial & Anima, 40’ from Chester/K-9 & Elegri, 50’ from Dagny.
/OOC On the steep hill it is “Difficult Terrain”, so movement cost is doubled (aka.. speed halved).
Elegri casts hunter's mark on the nearest foe before firing his bow at the same enemy! ((OOC if it's a surprise round do we have advantage then?))
Longbow attack: Attack: 20 Damage: 8
Hunters Mark: 3

/OOC Chester; I will assume you were riding K-9 and dismount, 1 fire to M4.
/OOC Murial; Move 40’, then as action dash 40’.
/OOC K-9 is 40’ away with 40’ movement, so as move + action as Dash he can reach M1/M4, so that is his action this round.
/OOC Elegri 8+3 piercing to M1

Muriel makes a attack of opportunity and attcks with her quaterstaff
Hit: 21
Bludgeoning damage: 8
Elegri fires another one of his arrows at his target:
Attack: Attack: 13 Damage: 11
Hunters Mark: 6
Encounter 2, Round 2
/OOC Round 2, Murial can keep the previous 21 to hit and 8 damage (the “mistaken AoO”),

/OOC Brown Bears have 30’ climb, so are not affected by the steep terrain.
