Silf follows Eron over to Beryl and Cal, unconsciously wrapping an arm around the ranger's knee as she looks about for anything suspicious. She waves for Blair to follow her, a slight look of concern in her eyes.

Together the druid and the bard notice there are other signs of some sort of struggle around the Triangle. There are several abandoned carts well hidden to passenger-bys moving through but no visible beasts of burden however or owners. The area is eerily devoid of life of any kind!
Moving to stand with Beryl and Caladon the party finds an overturned cart and other objects that are tucked against the tavern from the direction of Turst Fields, a barricade of sorts. At this barricade, however, are the lifeless corpses of half a dozen common people who look like they attempted to arm themselves with objects, not weapons per se, but now lay dead in the cold of the day having frozen the blood from running too far from their wounds which are savage!
Quatt approaches one of the dead commoners, he kneels down, placing a clawed hand on one of the bodies, he closes his eyes, taking in the smell of the corpses.
OOC: Medicine check to try and determine how long they have been dead for - 21

Cal also approaches the dead beside Quatt. Through smell Quatt can be sure it was quite recent, possibly overnight but the cold weather has slowed the process of decay! As soon as Quatt touches one of the bodies, a large man with a butcher's apron and a cleaver in his meaty hand awakens! His eyes emit a green glow as he gets up slowly to his feet as does his other five zombie corpses companions!

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
Silf’s cautious grasp around Eron’s knee suddenly slackens, as she watches the zombies begin to rise. Her face transitions from an expression of concern to one of mischievous hatred: “Haha! Not scared at all! You’ll pay for . . . well . . . for being monsters!”
Momentarily flummoxed about the fact that these people were, of course, at no fault for becoming undead, the little fairy raises a hand to the sky, as her tiny unicorn horn begins to glow silvery-gold. With the shout, “Slithy Toves!” she drops her hand and a piercing, divine spark of sacred flame hurtles from the heavens, directed at the zombie with the meat cleaver!
(Zombie chef needs to beat a DC 13 DEX save or it takes 3 radiant damage, as rolled in the game log)
(Also! If enough time has passed that the shillelagh has ended, Silf recasts it as a bonus action!)
Blair's expression turns grim as he takes in the sight of the overturned cart and the barricade of objects that have been hastily assembled. The area was eerily quiet and devoid of any signs of life, which only added to the feeling of dread, and Blair wasn't overly surprised when the chef reaches out with its undead hand.
"Death waits on black wings," He quotes softly, "and we stand hoplite, hussar, dragoon."
He points to an area with his flute, and a shiny image of a 5-foot-tall holy warrior appears before the horde of zombie. Clad in radiant armor, a greatsword. The armor it wears is made of shining silver, intricately engraved with holy symbols and inscriptions that seem to glow with a divine light. Hoping to distract the zombies with the illusion, he retreats from them, knowing the zombies are not fast, and putting some distance between them for others to move in.

Nobriki sees the corpses rising from the grave and shouts out in alarm "Quatt, watch out!".
He rushes forward, sword springing to hand and shield off his back, to help his travelling companion and will position himself next to Quatt in as protective of a position as possible.
"Someone has defiled this body by replacing the beauty of it's life with that of ugliness. Let us honor these poor dead by cleansing their bodies of evil!"
With that he will swing his rapier at the nearest zombie, ideally the one threatening Quatt. He is deliberately holding back on casting his spells, he has another plan this time, and those with eyes sensitive to magic would see the aura of his will gathering about him and snaking it's way down his arm and onto his sword like smoke.
OOC I think it's SHOWING the right numbers, but I don't think when you hover it's showing what it should be showing. I also think the original number of a nat 20 to hit and a perfect damage were probably a glitch.

Quatt, surprised by the dead man rising in front of him reacts defensively. His mushrooms start to release spores, both invigorating himself and attempting to eat away further at the decayed flesh.
Action: Uses a Wild Shape to activate Symbiotic Entity, he gains 12 Temp HP, doubles Halo of Spores damage and adds 1d6 necrotic to melee attacks
Reaction: Halo of Spores against the zombie he was touching, DC 13 Con save or it takes 2 necrotic damage
Zombie Chef saves, Quatt is the only one within 5ft of the barricade.
OOC: Still need to know what Blair is trying to achieve with the image.
Beryl releases Navar's reigns and calls out 'back up' to the warhorse. The animal immediately moves away from the party it's full movement. Beryl then draws her ax and looks to Cal. The cleric is already murmuring holding his holy symbol.

"They can't be saved," Beryl calls out to the party.

The fairy watches as her sacred flame (previous round) melts a patch of decaying flesh on the chef’s shoulder. With an overexcited grin, Silf very dramatically pumps her fist in celebration, not realizing the blacksmith zombie hammer is heading for her head. As she bends down in the fist pump, the hammer whiffs, barely missing her tiny skull. Recovering, she looks suddenly offended, shouting “How dare you!?"
The little fairy watches Eron take a swing at the zombie near her before tackling his own. She looks him in the eye momentarily, replacing the mischievous grin with a misty-eyed smile. Almost forgetting she's in the midst of a battle, she snaps herself back into the fray. As the blacksmith zombie closes in, Silf decides forgo ranged attacks for the mo. Instead, she holds her quarterstaff (still under the shillelagh) toward the blacksmith zombie. The thorny, bramble-covered staff balances vertically on the fairy’s open palm for a moment, emitting an emerald glow. Suddenly the quarterstaff slams down toward the zombie’s head.
Shillelagh staff attack: 24 (in game log, yayyyyy!) Damage: 6(rolled in game log)

"Ow." Blair says as the zombie stumbles towards him, handaxes slashing his robe, leaving a gash. His blonde brows furrow in pain, and an annoyed expression on his fair face. "That really hurts."
A long string of words spills from his lips towards the rotting flesh of the zombie in front him, reminding whatever fragment of soul left in there that the body is dead. "Take courage," He intones, "No one is immortal." He casts dissonant whispers with a flick of his flute, exhorting the undead to move away from him. If successful, Blair will use his movement to move away 30', ideally he goes to hide behind their cart for cover.
Dissonant Whispers: DC13 wisdom save, if fails takes 13 psychic damage, and must use its reaction to move away
Hunter's WIZ save on whispers -1; fails full damage stumbles away into the barricade and becomes impaled on a jagged piece of metal sticking out from the stacked rubble.
OOC was it the barmaid that I attacked last time for 5 dmg?
Nobriki will hike up his shield and scooch closer to Quatt, preparing himself to protect Quatt from a future attack. "Quatt, stay close, I shall protect you!"
(via Protection fighting style, he can impose disadvantage on an attack on Quatt with his reaction).
Then Nobriki will attack the Barmaid again. Swishing and slashing his rapier wildly back and forth to try and keep the lifeless animated flesh, and more than that the hungry gnashing teeth at bay!
