You can see Vuntuk's face, which usually shows a friendly and optimistic expression, darken considerably as he enters the chapel. His knuckles whitening as his grip tightens around the hilt of his weapon. He assesses the state of the room for a moment.

He says, as he wanders along the wall to the statue and the brazier in front of it, running his fingers over some of the carvings. He takes out a bit of coal from his forge, lights it on fire and sets it down into the brazier.
"Walls cahn be cleaned ahnd statues rebuilt. Even thru this primitve mockereh, the dedication ahnd craftsman ship of those who built this place is ah reverence ta the soul forger. Moradins judgment however is waiting fah the nefarious, ahnd it will hit them as hardened dwarven steel."
He falls silent after that, anger clearly still very visible on his face, despite his words.
Vonnir walks up to the statue, takes a knee and prays to Moradin to give strength to their group, to help and destroy those who did this to his temple. He knows now it must have been Moradin who lead his spirit, and him in tow, to this place to avenge this temple.
"Well, where are those foul creatures, because I really, really feel like smashing some goblin heads right now."

How long do you want to spend here in the chapel? It will take an hour to do the minimum cleaning. About six hours to get the chapel mostly back to how it was. Or you can leave immediately and hunt goblins.

You can tell that the Dwarven settlement is at least two hundred years old, probably older. However you aren't sure how long hhe settlement has been abandoned.

(I actually took this into account when one of the goblins rolled a natural 1. I had Moradin momentarily change Vuntuk's Spiritual Weapon into the solid Weapon and blocked the javelin or arrow.
"I am sure the gods appreciate your effort but it is not time to clean up, we will think about it later, I don't want to get sorrounded by goblins once again.
"I would like to help fix the temple, but first let's get rid of the goblins. Otherwise they might destroy it again, or we will be ambushed like Oreus says" Vonnir says as he is already standing near the doorway ready to move onwards

No, the bodies along with the ball bearings seem to have been removed from the hallway.

Explore the room that you looked at before this one, with the holes bored into the walls.
Or try the room above that where the Sneaks came from.
As always opinions from other characters are welcome, but unless someone justs decides to move and explore a room by themselves, Shadow's voice is the one I am waiting for.

24 knowledge dungeoneering/perception/investigation (whichever is appropriate they all have same modifier) to hopefully identify hazards/traps in room 2, from descriptions it sounded like their could have been ones in the past

The party slowly moves into the room with the small holes in the walls. Shadow looks for traps, but soon he realizes that the holes used to have wooden pegs in them. He can tell because a few of the pegs are still in the wall. He finds no traps, but concludes that once the room was lined with shelves. Maybe it was a pantry or a library once upon a time.
Do you open the door across the room to the south?
Shadow moves over to the door and opens it. Through the door there is a hallway, but there seems to have been a cave in at some point as the hallway end abruptly in rubble within 15 feet.
