This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The war priest turns her broad back on the the thorn whip and let's here armour take the blow and absorb the energy. She turns back and holds her holy symbol of Tiamat showing a five-headed dragon. Dark tendrils eminate from the holy symbol, snaking over the war priest's body and there is the smell of burning flesh as the dragonborn's wounds are cauterised. The dragonborn grits her teeth in pain as she heals 11 hit points.
Then as the tendrils disappear the war priest raises her holy symbol at Grimbald and holy fire erupts around the dwarf ranger. Grimbald make a Wisdom save DC15 or take 16 radiant damage and be blinded until the start of the war priest's next turn.
Regardless of the result the war priest will attack Grimbald twice.
RL will move over to grimbald, check him over and put a good berry into his mouth and look after him until he is back on his feet before thanking him with a hug for having done the same to RL.
With one hit point remaining, Vakiel staggers to his feet and roars, swinging his black-bladed greatsword around for two massive blows. The first runs through the body of the dragonborn, and she is likely still alive when the second blow whistles clean through her neck and her head goes flying away as her body staggers then collapses, spraying blood from the stump of a neck.
Out of combat.
I think everyone gets inspiration after that battle.
Broken Nose. Your broken nose is painful but doesn't have any adverse effect. Any magical healing mends your nose, although it may heal crooked if it is crooked when the healing is applied.
Magical healing has been applied so Grimbald has a crooked nose.
Vakiel (cold damage):
Major Neuralgia. You have constant, painful nerve damage over a large portion of your body. Whenever you attempt an action in combat, you must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, you lose your action and can't use reactions until the start of your next turn. Magical healing of 6th level or higher, such as heal or regenerate, cures the neuralgia, or if you spend twenty days doing nothing but resting it resolves on its own.
Augustin (bludgeoning damage):
Minor Concussion. You have disadvantage on Intelligence checks. The concussion heals if you receive any magical healing; alternatively, it heals on its own in two weeks. If you already have a minor concussion, you suffer a major concussion.
Would have already been cured by magical healing.
Rustling Leaves (bludgeoning damage):
Major Concussion. You have disadvantage on Intelligence checks, Wisdom checks, and Charisma checks, as well as Constitution saving throws to maintain concentration. Magical healing of 6th level or higher, such as heal or regenerate, cures the concussion. Alternatively, it heals on its own in four weeks.
RL is in favour of bugging out back to Albridge after that fight, its disappointing we wont be able to clear out the IC totally but I dont think any of us have much of anything left to take on demons, what does everyone else want to do?
Grimbald gives a weary, but appreciative smile to his comrades. "Well I hope Tiamat did watch that you unholy beast" talking to the decapitated remains of the war priest. Grimbald searches through the remains of the priest and mage, hoping for any healing potions they may have had.
He is tired and broken but still wants to fight. There has been so much blood shed.
If he can he cuts the heads off the two blokes running the show. He starts limping towards the next fight and the Keep, hoping that he can convince those who still fight for the Iron Circle that the death of both of their leaders will cause them to drop arms and leave.
He thinks to himself: "Today I am no Hunter. I am a begger."
"Let's hold our heads up for the people of Harken, they've been put through hell by these arseholes" Grimbald will gather the bodies, of at least the Dragonborn, in a cart or anything he can find. "gather the people at the keep, let them see victory, we can recover at the keep for the night". There is an uncharacteristic resolve in Grimbald's tone.
It seems the fight has gone out of the Iron Circle, they leave the keep with the carts they have taken, the devils are gone, either they had limited time or the death of the High Priest Kaltis sent them back, or maybe even the remaining leaders may have decided they would attract too much unwelcome attention or would be too difficult to manage. There are still enough of the Iron Circle left, including spellcasters, to put up serious resistance, so the party decide to let them go and retake Harken.
Over the next few hours the dead are claimed by relatives, firefighting teams are organised to save what buildings they can, comfort given - and received - and the party spread the word that the Baron is alive, if not well, and will return. This news heartens most of those who are not caught up in immediate grief.
Harken will recover but it will take time.
Do you want to stay in Harken or return to Albridge to recover? You can rest for enough time for those who can heal their critical wounds through resting.
RL would like to recover in Harken, we really didnt get an opportunity to explore before we had to leave but is happy to do the recovery in either location.
Can RL as part of his 4 weeks of recovery please use his herbalist kit(RL is proficient) to fashion 10 potions of healing for the party so that we all have 2 each and then he would like to create more to sell to pay off his debts. How much in silver will it cost per potion and how much can he sell the extra ones for?
The party elect to stay in Harken. Augustin wants to be home, and help his family where he can, and most of the others are happy to stay with him. Esa is the only one to choose to go back to Albridge for the next four weeks, where she has daily language lessions, learning Infernal from the tiefling Shepherd.
Gradually the story of that terrible night comes out. The devils, led by a warlock, did the most damage, killing everyone. No one in that corner of the village who was there when the devils arrived survived. The burnt remains of the houses are still there, a stark reminder of the savagery of the Iron Circle. The other areas did better. While a couple of houses burned - the party were involved in at least two of those - the rest of the Iron Circle were gathering slaves. Apparently Kaltis was going home in disgrace so wanted a good number of slaves as appeasement to his Iron Circle masters. When it was discovered the High Priest was dead, the Iron Circle panicked, convinced the dreaded party of delvers who had been such a thorn in their side was still here and were not content with rescuing the Baron and were slaughtering them all. The call went out and with no carts to put them in and no time to find them, the slaves were left behind. An Iron Circle guard even tossed the prisoners the keys to the manacles, saying "tell the delvers I freed you, if they capture me!" The rest of the Iron Circle left in disarray, watching their rear in case these terrible delvers appeared and assailed them with magic and weapons.

After we loot these bodies of course.
A horn sounds from the direction of the keep. Seems like the Iron Circle have had enough and are pulling out of Harken.
