Augustin presents this information, he wants to negotiate peace for all in these trying times and apologies for the losses suffered by the tribe.
He agrees that information is powerful and that a truce between the people is invaluable. He suggests some sort of symbol/signal to use when engaging with those from the village.
See see persuasion check when required below. I have added advantage in if required due to the group negotiation. But it is easy to see which is the first dice.
The party presents their conditions to the bullywugs.
The Chieftain Gloorpk and Uggloor (the Brute) listen. They exchange a few croaks.
"We agree to most of this," said Uggloor, still using the magic from the amulet to make himself understood. "But we will be vacating the caves. We are too vulnerable here now and will return downriver where most of the bullywug tribes live. We will need to repopulate and make alliances. I believe we will survive if we take this course. We will tell other tribes of our experience so they may learn not to meddle in the affairs of town-dwellers."
Uggloor continues: "The great Chief Gloorpk has told me that the Iron Circle said they would give us weapons that will not easily break, and will allow us to rule the White River. In exchange we were to raid and attack the closest town, the one you call Tor's Hold. That way the warriors there could not come to the aid of the other town-dwellers. It was nothing other than that. For some reason they thought we would want some of their prisoners, we did not really know what to do with them. We are bullywugs, we do not eat sentient beings or sacrifice them to gods. Some thought we could perhaps trade them to those who value slaves for something more useful. Perhaps the Hunter Spiders if we could make contact with them."
(Stryke has heard of a large drow raiding party, trapped on the surface after their tunnel to the Underdark collapsed, living in part of the Harken Forest called the Spiderhaunt Thicket).
"More likely they would take your slaves and make slaves of you too," suggested Stryke. He - like the rest of the party - were feeling less charitable now they heard the bullywugs were considering trading human lives to the cruel drow.
Uggloor made an affirmative gesture. "We thought it so too, and so we did not do this and were unsure what to do with the humans. But now the decision is taken from us and we have suffered greatly from this ill-advised, - the large bullywug shot a look at Chieftain Gloorpk - "alliance. We will have nothing more to do with the Iron Circle, or any town-dwellers for that matter."
The strong bullywug gives an almost human sigh. "Have we upheld our end of your agreement, town-dwellers? Will you allow us to go in peace?"
Uggloor considers Augustin's words. He suggests a sign of holding one arm straight up with open palm would be a sign that the being and the people they are with are in agreeance with and are abiding by the accord. He will pass this along to all at the next bullywug moot.
Esa agrees that we probably don't need to kill any more than what we have. Maybe a surrender of non-hunting weapons can help
the human made spears and shields, good idea
Are you ready to present this to the Bullywugs?
1. Give us the spears/shields that the Iron Circle gave you.
2. We are taking the humans back with us.
3. Stop attacking / harrassing Tor's Hold.
4. Tell us what you know about the Iron Circle, including what they wanted in exchange for the coins and weapons/shield.
I think we should wait for Chris and Steve to have some input if thats ok? Both have been busy but might have some things they want to add in
I agree. Happy to wait for them
all good!

Thank you Berry much
If anyone else is cringing at that, please know I live with these jokes…. Every. Day.

Uggloor's response to that joke:
Did the iron circle engage the bullywugs to tunnel into harken?
Do the bullywugs need an escort to the edge of town dweller lands?
They are not tunnelers, so they are perplexed by the question, but the answer is no. They have never travelled so far as Harken village.
No escort is required. They are going away from town-dweller lands. Tor's Hold is upriver. They are heading downriver into the Harken Forest.
I might have misread that. Toadwallow Caverns are outside the lands considered to be part of Tor's Hold.
The giant toad shuffles around a little bit, still keeping it's eyes on Esa. It moves a bit closer.

I guess we escort the humans to the settlement. Hopefully we can get them a bath on the way
