Augustin awakens to an excruciating pain in his chest. He gasps and flails, his hands touching something.. living? Whatever it is moves away from him in the dark. The pain is getting worse in his chest and he sits up.
"Well, shit! That should have been enough poison to kill most humans," says a thin, reedy voice.
Augustin takes 4 piercing damage, and has to make a Con save DC11 with disadvantage because there was plenty of time to get a good amount of poison into him. Because, you know, one eyed guard on watch. ;-)

Esa wakes, hearing Augustin cry out, wonders if it's another of his nightmares. Then opens her eyes wide, even though she can't see anything. The stink of the fiend is in the air, something otherwordly is here! She uses druidcraft cantrip to light a candle, and launches herself into the air. She gasps as she sees this small, flying creature about to stab Augustin again with its stinger tail.
Esa let's out a loud, blood-curdling scream, partially in anger and partially hoping the others will hear her. She then rushes to eye level with the fiend and uses Hypnotic Gaze.
RL might hear, depends on where he is. If he is position 6 or 7 he will. If in position 5 he can roll perception check, if in position 3 he hears nothing.

Vakiel takes the first dagger, then jerks awake, the second dagger skids off his ribs. The first dagger has done major damage already. (I've added the damage to Vakiel's character sheet).

As Vakiel brings out his sword, which he always keeps nearby, the assassin sheathes her daggers and draws shortswords. She gracefully lunges forward with the blades. As Vakiel still has not acted in the combat yet, any hits will be automatically critical hits.
The assassin pauses, as she hears an enraged pixie scream coming from next door. The assassin curses, realising the imp has not done its part of the job. She stabs Vakiel one more time (giving an automatic death save failure) then moves quickly out the door.

The room is too cramped to swing a greatsword, Augustion grabs the first thing he sees, which is the Red Sceptre hanging out of his pack. He smashes it down on the imp.

A human sized figure moves silently to Vakiel's bedside. Stealth check with advantage vs Vakiel's passive perception of 10 - 28.
The figure gets two attacks with advantage on sleeping Vakiel, both will be auto-critical.
Dagger 1: Attack: 15 Damage: 5.
Dagger 2: Attack: 18 Damage: 8.
If either of those hits, the assassin does an extra 23 sneak attack damage.
